Sweet rhyming story about a family project that involves lots and lots of tools! (Noisy tools!) Short sentences make it suitable for very young readers. Kids (and parents) will have fun making all the sounds!

"Bing Bang Pling" is a delightful children's book that celebrates teamwork, construction, and the satisfaction of completing a project. Through simple rhyming verse, young readers are introduced to different tools and their sounds as a young girl helps her parents build a swing set. The engaging narrative and onomatopoeic words bring the tools to life, while colorful illustrations enhance the understanding. While a brief explanation of how each tool is used would have added more educational value, "Bing Bang Pling" remains an enjoyable and educational read that encourages teamwork and a sense of accomplishment.

I loved this story because it reminded me of building things with my father. In Bing Bang Pling by Deb Adamson, Ill. by Candice Hartsough, this sweet kid friendly rhyming story shows a Dad, Mom, and their young daughter building a swing set together. It has colorful, fun, and informative illustrations that show the different steps and tools needed to build the swing set. There is a lot of fun onomatopoeia language like Zip, Weroo, and Thwack! I loved that all of the tools used were shown in the final pages. I think this book will inspire children and their families to get out and build something together. I know my kids would have loved this book!

My Bob-the-Builder-loving son would have adored this book as a preschooler. The subject will delight any child captivated by tools and construction, inspiring them to dream of building a playground of their own one day, and the fun sounds and rhyme will keep the interest of even those kids who aren't. I also appreciate the illustrated glossary of tools at the end. It's a nice touch for kids, like mine, who like to know exactly what might be needed for a project like this, along with the proper name for each.

This rhyming rollick joins a family as they build a swingset. Playful, brightly illustrated, and full of onomatopoeia, kids will love this book as a read aloud and a read along. But that’s not all. While having a ball, kids see themselves as competent to help with building and a family that does it together, including the family cat who adds comedy to the day. The book starts and ends with a very gentle reminder of American cultural priorities. The back matter is a key that depicts the tools used and the tool’s name. A great addition at school or at home.

Deb Adamson does it again--this lively, engaging rhyming story is great fun to read aloud! The clever illustrations enhance the text and tell their own story, which is just the best kind of picture book. Bing Bang Pling is ripe for opportunities to count, name/identify tools and everyday objects kids might encounter but not yet know how to use. And I love the independence and ability of the main character. Overall, just a great addition to any collection, but especially for kids who enjoy tools, construction, and 'doing'!

Jingle, Jangle, Nuts and Screws…Count them out in ones and twos. Come along on a rollicking read as this board book tells the story of a girl and her family as they build together outside. As each tool is introduced in the story, the corresponding sound heightens the fun—swish, pling, zing, zang, zing. Sure to captivate the littlest DIY enthusiasts. Highly recommend. A great STEM edition to any home library.

A fun read-aloud, with the rhyme and the sounds of hammering, sorting nuts and screws, and more. It leaves young readers curious about what is being built - perfect for a fun reveal at the end. I love how it introduces kids to a bunch of tools via a labeled spread at the end- going beyond the usual hammer and nail to include a lot of other things like belt sander, circular saw, hard hat, post hole digger, level, chalk line, and goggles.

The title says it all with a bing a bang and a pling, a girl and her family will build a playground. How fun it is to learn the steps of building something with rhyme and fun illustrations. Kids will feel motivated. And parents be ready, they might ask you to build something. But with a bing and a bang and the backmatter including all the tools, you can do it. It will be wonderful. Read, laugh, learn, and build.

In this fun, rhyming romp, a little girl learns what it takes to assemble a building project. She listens closely as each tool makes it's own sound, and learns what each is used for. Her parents teach her how to use the tools and welcome her to take part as they build something special together. All the tools are pictured at the end which kids will love reviewing. Bing Bang Pling is the perfect book for little ones who are curious about tools. Or parents who want to teach children names and functions of different tools. Deb Adamson's steady rhythm and rhyme are easy to read and Candace's artwork is delightful. A book that will debunk a few stereotypes and empower children and families to pick up the tools and engage together in building things around your home.

I was lucky to read an advance copy of this darling book. With catchy, sing-song rhyme, we join a girl and her family who "thwack" with a hammer and "click clack" a rachet until a swing set is constructed. Then it's time to play! I love that the end pages show a picture glossary of all the tools used in the book. Little builders will love this one!

A charming bevvy of rhyming and the sounds the equipment makes as a family builds a playset in their backyard. The child is happily engaged by the parents and they share quality time and the fun play that comes after. A brilliant introduction to DIY and putting in time to reap the rewards. Cute illustrations and I truly believe the tabby is supervising.

The delightful rhyme and playful art are sure to make Bing, Bang, Pling one we return to again and again. A great gift to pair with a kids toolset or builder dress up clothes!
