Peace, Perfect Peace

Rate this book
“Peace, perfect peace!” What music there is in the words! Our nature sighs for rest, “My peace.” He had the power of passing that peace on to others; Jesus gives His peace to all weary, tired ones. Why not to you?

This is a brief, but beautiful read. Meyer uses tons of Holy Scripture to comfort the soul ridden with any sort of grief or discomfort. Actually I was feeling pretty good when I read this book and I was comforted, so I would recommend for all!

It started promising, got muddied in the middle with weird theology, and ended ok. It was short and easy to read though.

It could be because I have a hard time concentrating and am easily distracted, but it took me a while to read this. The wording was old-fashioned and sort of poetic. The upside is that this book fit well with the devotional I'm reading: Jesus Calling. It's a good read for the Christian scholar.
