I got a copy of Jack and Jill and The Blue Light Killer by Christopher Greyson from Book Funnel, though Christopher’s newsletter. I would classify it as a mystery and drop the suspense/thriller description, because it read more like a police procedural and I thought it lacked the heart pounding moments and the nitty gritty that I love so much. But, that’s okay. The book does what a good mystery should…kept me guessing.

I love Lady. I’d love to have her at my side too.

Jack gets shot at a lot, so think twice about becoming his partner. Sure, he’s a cop and you can expect some dangerous situations to arise every once in a while, but Jack has a slew of books to share his escapades with you.

I love dialogue and storylines that combine the fun with the serious, and Christopher Greyson does that easily.

If you are looking for a series with a recurring character and a story that allows each book to stand alone, never fear, Jack Stratton is here.

Detective Jack Stratton is a good guy wrapped in a bad boy bod. He’s hot, impetuous, thrill-seeking, and presses all the right (or wrong) buttons. He’s also the devoted new husband of his partner in life, Alice, and determined to right the wrongs against his victims and their families.

While Alice has stepped into Jack’s former role of bounty hunter with their giant dog, Lady, Jack has his job back as a detective in the Sherriff’s office. When a body is dumped in the garbage behind his apartment, Jack is forced into a joint investigation with the police, partnered with Detective Jill Reyes. While their names amuse all they come into contact with, nothing is funny about Jack and Jill hunting down a serial killer. It soon becomes evident that Jack can’t trust anyone.

I really enjoyed this instalment in the Jack Stratton series, all of which I’ve read via Kindle Unlimited. It’s breathed new life into a great set of characters while introducing new faces into the mix. You don’t need to have read the series to enjoy this book, but it’s worth doing so. Another great page-turner from Christopher Greyson!

In a town where it appears everyone seems to know everyone else, Jack is paired with police detective Jill to figure out who might be impersonating a cop and committing murders. Or is it an actual policeman? At the same time, Alice is trying to prove she can be an effective bounty hunter despite being so petit. And the newlyweds are both dealing with Alice's fugitive grandfather staying with them. There's excitement on every page! Well worth the read!

I received a review copy of this book. Having read the series from the beginning, I was really looking forward to this story.

The characters have evolved in a natural way from the first book. Jack and Alice are fallible and honest, which endears them to me.

The Blue Light Killer is an intriguing story with twists and turns worthy of a squad car. As with the rest of the series, I devoured it and am now longing for the next book.

No, the series has evolved in a natural way and is better than ever! I enjoyed this book, seeing the evolution of Alice’s family as well as her relationship with Jack. JACK REMINDS ME OF A KNIGHT, HE IS TRULY A GREAT PERSON. I THINK ITS KINDA SAD HE WAS BORN PAST HIS TIME WHEN PEOPLE WERE MORE LIKE HIM. BACK IN THE DAY WHEN PEOPLE WOULD MEET HIM HALFWAY. Engaging and highly entertaining. I absolutely love Jack, Alice and Lady. Action packed from the first page. Jack collaborates with a new partner on a murder at his apartment complex and Alice is her usual badass self and is earning her own place in the investigative world.
Suspenseful, intriguing and plot twists. Everything you want in a murder mystery. Can’t wait for more.

Great story as usual

I love the Jack Straton 😍 series. His character is smart, clever, and exciting. I love that the story was so tightly woven that I wavered back and forth as to who the killer was. I guessed but near the end when it became obvious. Great detective storyline as usual.

Well worth the wait!

Like coming home to familiar characters and knowing we are in for a few surprises. Meeting new players helps round out this story. Some red herrings, humor and suspense continue to make the Jack, Alice, Lady and now Jill tales wonderful reads.

Love Lady. What a dog. She’s as smart as her human parents. While to a large part the actual culprit was easily identified, interesting police work. Looking forward to more cases. Good ending with plausible results.
