A lovely read you won't be able to put down, with engaging characters in a charming town.
Grumpy sunshine, bright and moody, rose quartz and lapis lazuli , she's bright and always looking for the positive side, he's moody and cynical... And they totally complement each other.
Sabrina and Aiden were teenage friends once upon a time. After faising the dark side of fame, each decide (or where "encouraged" by their publiscist) to lay low and went to the first place that comes to mind when trying to think of a home, Mermaid Shores (in which I want to live too!).
They both are surprised to find each other there after years without contact. They reconect (Aiden a bit reluctantly because he dosn't want to tarnish her) and Sabrina has the idea of fake dating him for PR purposes. Aiden (who has a zero lies policy) reluctantly agreed.
And so their new adventure together begins. A bit bumby road with him trying to pull away afraid to getting to close, and her fighting to bring back the boy buried inside him. There's some conflict, but thanks to their undeniable connection, boldly statements, a wise woman and an awesome great gesture their manage their fated HEA.
This is a lovely charming book that I couldn't put down. It's about going back to your roots, to analyze when was the last time you were happy doing what you do and when did you get out of track. All awesomely developed, with engaging characters and a magical town you'll wish you could be there too.
This is my first book of the author and I'll definitely look for more. She traps you with her engaging writing and makes this an easy going read.

I enjoyed this cute brother’s childhood best friend/celebrity story. It was a fun and sweet story and a quick and easy read. The romance was lovely. The characters main characters were great and the secondary characters too. Mermaid Cove made a wonderful setting with some fun people. Aiden, a rock star, escaped to his family’s old summer home in small-town Mermaid Cove to let a damaging rumour die down. At the same time his childhood best friend’s sister, Sabrina had retreated to the town after her travel blogging career was derailed by a scandal. “How do you show people that you aren’t a bad person when they aren’t interested in believing you?” After the two reconnected, Sabrina convinced Aiden that fake dating would help combat his difficulties. But real feelings sat beneath the facade. “‘If you loved someone when you were just a kid, does that love go anywhere after they leave? Or does it stay behind and wait for the opportunity to come alive again?’” Some characters from other books made appearances in the story but this book reads as a standalone. There are elements included in the story of parental abandonment and a murder trial. This is a closed door romance with one instance of mild harsh language.

Sabrina and Aiden are both hiding out in Mermaid Shores to lay low after intense PR troubles. They're also friends from teenage summer holidays together in Mermaid Shores, and both are hiding certain truths from each other.
This is a really sweet story of two people having to deal with fame, who find each other and realise that they love each other. I love the town of Mermaid Shores, and love how Miss Maisie gets involved.
Aiden's grand gesture is just SUPER cute, and I adore their HEA.
A really fun and quick read that actually makes you think a bit about how you view things happening to you and to people around you.

I love all things Andrea Ocean, and this does not disappoint!! Sabrina and Aiden knew each other as kids, spending their summers at Mermaid Shores. Sabrina is a travel blogger, going from one beautiful place to another. Due to one mistimed review, she gets canceled. She has know home to go to; so she goes to Mermaid Shores. Aiden is a "Rockstar" who also goes to Mermaid Shores; after a troubling photo. Even though they are both in hiding, the paparazzi is there. They reconnect and develop a plan to help each other out. What starts out as a lie, turns out to be real. Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Ocean!!

The last person she expected to see is her brother's friend, Aiden in the small town. He too got caught up in a scandal unknowingly. What happens when they are caught by paparazzi together? Will they rekindle their friendship or will it become more? How does her brother react when he finds out? Can the magic of the town work again?.

Another great story. Sabrina is a travel blogger who gets cancelled after a mistimed review. Aiden is a rock star running from a scandal. They both grew up spending summers in Mermaid shores and find themselves running to this magical place to hide from public scrutiny. When they reconnect and develop a plan to help each. What starts out as a lie soon becomes the truth. Mermaid Shores magic strikes again. I loved this book. I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a lovely story about reconnecting with childhood friends/loves. The author does a great job creating a setting that makes the reader feel at home. The characters are well developed, and the story is one of hope and happy endings. I really enjoyed this book.

reconnecting
I loved the positive vibe this review copy transmitted: after setbacks both Aiden and Sabrina retreat to a place they have positive memories of and reconnect with their memories, with each other and with themselves so that in the end something negative turns into something wonderful.

Oh this is. Good one! Loved the connection of the two families. I could almost smell the water from the ocean. When you are a teenager your ideas are dreams. When you are more mature. The dreams. A come remittances. Dry cleaver and rich experiences

Not gonna lie, if this series weren't available on audiobook I wouldn't keep going with it. As I go further it gets more difficult not to cringe with the clichés and the lack of development. They make a nice distraction while I'm at work though.

This was a good read. Both Aiden and Sabrina are in hiding. They knew each other growing up. However, they are now fake dating. Of course, they fall in love, and get their happy ending.

If you are familiar with Andrea's writing, you have already fallen in love with Mermaid Shores. Well, we get to return to the quaint, small, sea side, town; where everyone watches out for their neighbor, doesn't take kindly to people disrupting their way of life, and is home to a mystic who seems to always show up at just the right moment.
Sabrina and Aiden are both in need of laying low, in order to fix their reputations. Even though neither of them ruined them on purpose. They both find their way to Mermaid Shores where they run into each other after not seeing other for many, many years. So much has changed for both of them. Sabrina, ever the optimistic, offers to help Aiden out of his mess and he can be her adventure buddy as she goes back to her roots of why she loves traveling. As they spend time together, childhood feelings flair up, and the question being asked is this....How do you end a fake relationship, when you don't want to?
Andrea always writes short and sweet books that have you smiling and feeling giddy. We get to revisit all our favorite places in Mermaid Shores and even get to catch up with Nick and Caroline.
