I want to give it a 4 but I can’t because some of the stuff was just a little chaotic for me. But overall I really loved this book. Elijah and Elisia were amazing and the dynamic of their relationship was beautifully done. I think the way they both went through something with him and his attempt and her and her relationship with Noel and feelings of being a glass child really allowed them to grow and bond together. I think it honestly could have been a longer book but for what it is it was well written. Elijah was amazing literally designing his house for her, buying her the pottery center (paintbrush scene…) and just overall being there for her and willing to wait despite the reason they didn’t get together being so stupid and ellie really overreacted. Really happy with the ending and exciting to read Duchies story!

This is a sport romance that is not set in the actual atmosphere of the sport, since the MMC is in recovery. This makes the book very different from any other sport romance book that I’ve read before!

Elijah is such a sweetheart. His heart is made of pure gold. I really loved the chemistry between the leads.

The book includes tropes such as: slow burn, second chance, friends to lovers, forced proximity and “who did this to you?” 😮‍💨

I was lucky enough to be a part of the beta team, so I’ve provided some of my favorite comments from when I edited the book🤭

I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves sport romance novels and especially if you loved the dirty air series by Lauren Asher.
