I don't think this dude liked Germans very much, lol. Interesting read, but glad we didn't let Kaufman make any decisions.

"Germany Must Perish": This book is as ugly as it can be. Kaufman statements are massively hypocritical today : "But how can you get peace if Germany exists? The only way to win an eternal peace is to make the punishment of waging war more horrible than war itself. Human beings are penalized for murder, aren't they? " considering what is happening to Palestinians now. Who delivers punishment for this ? Today Germans are peaceful nation, but not Israel.
I am not surprised at Germany 1942 reaction at all. This book is hard to get, censored, but Indigo in Canada has copies. Wikipedia provides good details for those looking for facts and content of this book. And indeed Kaufman horrific idea had almost materialized. Only fear of communism and USSR put stop to it. Read : "A Terrible Revenge: The Ethnic Cleansing of the East European Germans", "Orderly and Humane: The Expulsion of the Germans after the Second World War", "Crimes and Mercies: The Fate of German Civilians Under Allied Occupation, 1944-1950", "After the Reich: The Brutal History of the Allied Occupation", "Gruesome Harvest".
