Just finished "Alpha Stray" by Johanna Rae, and wow, what a ride! This book throws you into a world where vampires, and tigers are all vying for their place in the pack. Chase Honeychurch and his crew—Riordan, Nathan, Avi, and Thurman—are just trying to figure out their lives when betrayal strikes from those they least expect. It's a rollercoaster of emotions, action, and a whole lot of supernatural drama.
Riordan, Chase's younger brother, totally stole my heart. He's mature beyond his years but battling some serious inner demons. Watching him navigate through his struggles while still being a rock for his brother and friends was something else. He's the kind of character that sticks with you long after you’ve turned the last page.
The mix of supernatural elements with the everyday issues of trust and betrayal makes for a compelling read. The pack dynamics are on point, and the addition of vampires and tigers adds an extra layer of intrigue. Rae's writing keeps you hooked, blending high-stakes action with moments that tug at your heartstrings.
