Light thriller.

I really recommend this book, especially after the election. No, this book definitely not political thriller. June Kato is neurosurgeon, talented, hard working woman. Recovering from her own near death brain surgery. Surrounded with loving twin sister and parents. While still recovering, called in to do brain surgery, only she can do. It's hard to write a review for this book without giving away the plot, and ending. All I can say, I had a big smile at the end.

This is the first of the June Kato series I’ve read and I can see why the ex-model, fashionista neurosurgeon has developed a following: she’s smart and combative but emotionally fragile with a damp squib of a love life. She’s a busy woman: in previous books, June has dealt with a suicide, a serial stalker, masqueraded as a call girl and stopped an epidemic. In Broken Protocol, fans of hers will find June surviving her own brush with death to use her unique surgical skills to save the United States from a major headache at the hands of terrorists. It’s an innovative story with minimal violence and will appeal to fans of light thrillers.
