This book dredges up memories of bell bottoms, phone booths, LSD, Woodstock, hippie vans, VW beetles and headbands. Flight was a well-written and thought-provoking mystery.

Great read. I think it should be rated at least 3 1/2 stars.I liked the story,and all the different "secrets".A young woman(18) falls off a cliff,in view of 3 other persons,she should have died,only broke her legs.She stays in a coma for 20 years,in a terrific hospital,at a cost of $250,0000. Who paid for this upkeep? A friend from childhood is now a newspaper writer gets involved,and now the story begins. I really enjoyed this book,and I will get the author's first book" A reasonable Madness".

After twenty years in a catatonic trance, Lana awakens remembering nothing about the day she plunged from the 200-foot cliff, or the sensational trial in which her boyfriend was convicted of her attempted murder. As the doctors ponder her miraculous recovery, her former boyfriend escapes and makes his way toward her.

I've read this book, then read it again, then read it until the last few pages were falling out. It's well written, and the characters are so personable that you care what happens to them. I fell in love with this book, the mystery, the story, and couldn't recommend it any more - they won't let us give 6 stars. Definitely my favourite book.
