Bella After getting out of the worst relationship, Bella had no interest in dating. At least not until a handsome attorney shows up at her friend's birthday party and offers to help with her divorce. Chase Finding the one wasn't in the cards for him and he'd finally accepted it. After all, his life was full with friends and a successful career. Way too short, so it’s really rushed and I’m sorry but it’s boring.
I was really looking forward to this book as Chase has been mentioned a lot over the series. So it’s very disappointing that it’s only 68 pages! Chase is a good friend and almost a brother to Knox and his brothers. Ava works for him as he’s a lawyer. So when her friend Bella is going through a nasty divorce Ava introduces Bella to Chase, they fall madly in love and that’s about it!
If I had seen how short it was I wouldn’t haven’t bothered. I’m not a fan of short stories and I was looking forward to reading Chase’s book. So this was a major disappointment! We don’t get to find anything out about either of them! Bella’s parents left her a trust fund when they died. How/ when did they die? What did they do? Has she got any other family? Has Chase still got parents, brothers or sisters? I don’t know anything about either of them!!! I don’t even know how old Bella is!!!
TW: ab*se, DV, emotional ab*se, bad marriage/worse divorce, a$$ault
The way I was sooo disappointed to find out this was less than 100 pages.. like why!?? It was so cute and I liked Chase since we met him so I was sad his book was so damn short. I also liked how they built up more and were more sweet together. I know it was short but it was well done. I would’ve liked to get to know Bella more though. She was fun and I would’ve liked to see her get together with the other girls who are in editing and writing and see them work together.
Tropes: touch her and d!e(light), who did this to you, he works for her(not long term), hurt/comfort
Spice: .5 Steam: 🔥 Sweetness: 💗💗💗💗 Cute lawyers who are sweet: 🥰
Despite wishing Chase and Bella's story to be longer, I am quite pleased that I've finally completed this series 🥲 Already looking forward to start the Syndicate Kings series!
- an age play romance! instalove, hurt/comfort, instalove, age gap, daddy k!nk, praise k!nk! - straight into the plot which we loooove - hehehe Ava playing match maker - god her ex husband is just the worst - Chase moves QUICK hot damn - omg the aquarium date was acc the cutest thing in the world, that’s deffo what the original ones were missing, a bit of normal - and he called her his little otter 🦦 🥹 - oo bit of an intense third act conflict!! love that he took care of her afterwards - i WANTED to have the court room scene done properly!! it would of been so good to acc of seen him in action and wiping the floor with the ex husband - that is one thing Miss Oliver doesn’t do that i wish she did was write the action scenes, its so of like fade to black on those - great sex scene!! - i really loved this but wish it had been longer?? like the other books are only 200 pages so why couldn’t this one be?
Back into the Shadow Daddies world I went, only briefly, for a short guaranteed happy ending story.
Chase was a constant during the rest of their stories, being both their lawyer and unofficial brother of the group. And while we didn't get to know him nearly enough (either through the other boys books or this one), I was happy to at least not have him left hanging...especially since Tate got his own story already!
I think my only wish is that Kate had taken the time to make this a full book instead of a novella. I wanted to know more about Chase and Bella, and I honestly think that him falling for a Little that he was helping out of a bad divorce could have made for good full book content.
Sad to be out of this specific world, but I know the Irish Mafia group still have boys without their Littles...so I am thinking I won't be fully done with these boys just yet!
3/5, I've read it, it was good. I don't need to read it again.
Kate Oliver has such a way of sucking you into the story so quickly as so all encompassing. Chase and Bella are so sweet and fierce they so needed each other in their lives. The only down side to this fantastic book would be that it was to short which made me sad as I have been so excitedly waiting and counting down the days to the feel as I truly love the Daddies of the shadows books so much and am sad that they are ending. They did introduce me to all the wonderful books Kate has written and I have read them all. I understand how busy Kate is with all the books she is currently working on and can't wait to call in love all over again with the characters coming to life before me. Thank you and everyone read all of these books there fantastic.
I loved reading about Chase finally finding a Little of his own to love. The fact that his little turns out to be a friend of Ava, his assistant, who is a Little to one of Pop's adopted sons, give Him an big supportive backup of brothers, and Little sisters. Though Chase was never officially adopted by Pop's, he spent years belonging in the family, and was considered one of theirs. Being a successful, and aggressive lawyer, he was perfect to save her Trust fund from her weasel of an ex, and her lawyer who ended up working for her ex. Perfect Ending, with. Daddie gets his perfect Little, and horrible ex, and helper, get what they deserved! Trish. A.
Chase is a short and sweet addition to Kate Oliver's Daddies of the Shadows Series. Bella is doing all she can to finalize the divorce from her abusive husband. When her lawyer does her dirty and started representing her ex, her bff Ava secures her boss Chase to come to Bella's defense. After laying eyes on Bella, Chase vows to get her out of the marriage and into his life. Even though Chase is shorter than Kate's other books in the series, it is still jam packed with action, suspense, and lots of love and fun times.
I really enjoyed this story even though it was shorter than the others in this series. The characters were endearing and I wanted more of them! Chase has been looking for his Little girl but never expected to meet Bella. She’s friends with Ava, who is playing matchmaker of course! The minute these two meet, I just knew they belonged together. Bella is going thru a nasty divorce and Chase is determined to make sure she gets everything she deserves. I loved the storyline and didn’t want it to end!
What a way to end the series. Chase is the final man to find his Little Girl with the help of Ava. Bella is trying to divorce her abusive husband. Somehow he was able to talk her lawyer into helping him instead of her and Bella didn’t know what to do. Thankfully Ava did. She invited both of them to her party on the pretense of him helping Bella. The sparks hit both of them. Now all Bella needs to do is make it to her day in court at the end of the week. Will Chase be able to protect her from her awful ex. I just loved this series.
While this was a shorter story, it had everything I love and expect from a Kate Oliver book. I loved the way Chase took his time with Bella because of her past relationship. He was so sweet but still had that "edge" to him that endeared him to me. Loved seeing all the guys and their girls and how they are all family! Everything this author writes is pure gold and I'm always ready for the next book!
Oh my goodness ! I'm so glad Chase got his little girl. They are so freaking adorable together!!! It was short but I loved seeing Chase show her the love and nurture she deserved. And I loved that we got a little but of all that comes with the DDlg dynamic and the snippets of the other couples . I am so sad this series is over cause I loved it so much, but it ended wonderfully.
Short, sweet, and a little spicy! Chase and Bella make a great Daddy and little girl: he’s protective, loving, and patient. She craves his attention, his touch, and his heart! Kate Oliver knows just the right words to evoke intimacy, emotions, and permanence in their relationship. It’s such a beautiful thing to read as Chase makes her his and Bella becomes his heart!
I first read this story in Dirty Daddies Anthology book. I loved how this story brought in the people from the Daddies of the Shadows series. Chase had made an appearance in that series, and now this story completes that series. It was a quick read that stacked the emotions. They knew at first sight, but they both knew there was so much going on. He waited until those issues were resolved, then sealed the deal.
I’ve been a fan of Kate’s writing for a while now and I’ve loved loved loved her work so much. The Daddies of the Shadows series is my in my top 10 reads. But Chases book felt so rushed and so so short. I mean I get it I guess he doesn’t play a huge part in the series but I guess I was hoping for a little more depth. But never the less I’m still a huge Kate fan. Chase story isn’t my isn’t my favorite but I do look forward to what else Kate has for us in the future.
Chase and Bella… a great story, but far too short.
While the story felt too brief for my taste, it was still a solid and enjoyable read. Chase and Bella complement each other so well—it’s clear they’re absolutely made for each other.
Although I wish the story had been longer, I have to commend Kate for delivering a complete and satisfying tale in just 73 pages. That kind of storytelling skill is truly phenomenal!
This was amazing my only complaint is it was not enough I love chase and Bella they were amazing together their dynamic was sweet and it was instant love which was amazing I wish there was more of their story the plot was amazing and him being the hero was just subpar. I must read and so good
I feel like I've been waiting forever for Chase to find his One and I love the fact that he found her thanks to Ava. I only wish the story was a little longer since the Shadows series is over. Bit wjo know. Maybe we will be lucky and get another book that set in the future for all our favorite people.
As usual, Kate has delivered. This final peek into the world of the Shadow Daddies was just what everyone who loves this series needed! I love that after many books with Chase in them-he finally got his happily ever after! If you haven’t read this series and you love all things Daddy—READ IT. You will not be disappointed.

FANtastic quick read. I feel whole heartedly that Ms. Oliver gave her fans this book as a gift. Though this is more of a Novella length story, it completely rounded out all the previous books similar to Dr. Tate.
I was so pleased to see Chase get his happy ending!
I’m so excited this was released as part of the shadows series. I have always loved Chase and how ruthless he is but soft with the women in his life. We originally met Chase when Ava came to work for him back in Colt’s book. And we now get to see his happily ever after. Great quick read, definitely recommend.
Sweet and short This story is swicy.....sweet and spicy! I love everything about this book. It's an insta romance and Bella is so sweet. She has been hurt and her lawyer switches up on her. But Chase is just what she needs to get her life back and move forward with a happy future. While the story is short, it is not lacking in emotion and plot. It is a good book you will not want to miss.
It feels like an end to an era. This book is so good that I wasn’t prepared for it to end. This entire series sucked me in and didn’t let go. Each story had me laughing out loud, taking notes, crying and wishing for more. Chase is just the right kind of intense and spicy sweet.
Chase is an attorney and he is good at his job. He meets Bella at a birthday party and agrees to help her with her divorce, as well as bury her ex-husband and her ex-attorney in the process. Chase wants to Daddy Bella something fierce but he needs to handle her divorce first so he can keep her safe. I loved this story, this whole series is amazing.
Chase is the last installment of Kate Oliver’s Daddies of the Shadows. It chronicles the romantic journey of Bella and Chase. She is fighting a nasty divorce and needs another attorney. He is an attorney. Their mutual friend, Ava, brought them together. As they work together, their attraction grows; however, Chase remains professional. After the divorce is finalized will Chase make his move? Will they find happiness? To discovr what unfolds, you must read this book. . I enjoyed her skill with creating multi-dimensional leading characters that are strong, determined, confident yet vulnerable. It is captivating to see how she captures their growth as this story progresses, Lastly, I appreciate Ms. Oliver’s skill with descriptive scenes further pull her readers into her captivating tale.
This is a great addition to the Daddies of the Shadows series. It’s nice to have Chase’s story in there! And Bella seems perfect for him. This is one of my favorite series. I definitely think this is one you should add to your library!!
Yay for getting a story from a favorite side character and a visit with some favorite characters from the Daddies of the Shadows series. This story fit the world and the dynamics I've come to expect and enjoy from Kate. A great addition in a snack-sized story.
Great short story about Chase and Bella. Daddy attorney meets a little going through a horrible divorce. Chase does everything to make Bella trust in Love and the true meaning of what a Daddy should be. Bonus we read about the other Shadow Daddies!
