Passion and Duty: Leesa Colburn run PAWS - the Pacific Animal Welfare Society - in Coronado, CA. Between duties at the shelter and caring for her younger sister, there isn’t much time for pleasure. Enter Antonio Vega - one hot Navy SEAL who volunteers for the shelter’s annual fund raising photo shoot. Their immediate chemistry is startling yet undeniable, and after one evening, they've fallen hard and fast. But when Antonio is called away on assignment, will these two have their time together or will duty override passion? ~ Desire and Sacrifice: A young widow at thirty-four, Raquela Wright has enough to juggle between raising her daughter and making sure her job as an OR Tech is enough to keep the roof over their head. She doesn't need a complication that comes in the form of a sexy beast who shouldn't awaken her dormant desires. But does. Former Navy SEAL, Mick Collins, doesn't believe in fairy tales when all he's ever seen in life is no bedtime story. But could the alluring beauty next door make him believe dreams can come true? ~ Love and Honor: Jessica thought she was prepared to be married to a soldier, but with each deployment, Danny pulled further and further away until she felt her love hadn't been enough. As if he knew his fate, Danny told his best friend, Anton, to always take care of her. And when he returns home in a casket, Anton carries the anguish of failing to save him. Having always loved Jessica, can Anton honor Danny's request and convince Jessica they can cast aside guilt for their chance at love? ~ I had the privilege of having Love and Honor featured in a limited release anthology in 2020 with 1001 Dark Nights. * Passion and Duty ends with a cliffhanger, but know there is more to their story, releasing in December 2023.

I got this set as part of stuff your kindle day and like the other books I got in the stuff your kindle day sale... it was the same. Writing wasn't great, way too short, not much story. I really liked the theme of military stories but they were just too short and not filled with enough substance.
Want a taste of military romances? These three steamy novellas fit the bill. They're short yet satisfying ~ just enough to make you yearn for more. And more are coming! Be sure to read my story included in the Heroes, Holidays, and Hope (vol 1) anthology releasing 12/6/2023 ~ filled with five amazing romances from me and four fabulous authors. And always stay in the know through my newsletter about upcoming military romances that will feature new (and former) characters in my series. Many thanks to my readers, reviewers, and supporters!
Laura has done it again! I love her short stories, I consistently fall in love with the hero’s at the same time as the mc! In this collection I especially love Antonio’s story and the ending is…well I don’t want to ruin it for you, but it’s very original and surprising! Highly recommend for original heartwarming romance!
This little tree of life short stories Is a book I enjoyed reading
The short stories were ones I could pick up at the last minute and read While waiting in an office for an appointment. The stories were not connected except by the fact of Military military and dogs. Story touched my heart As I have brothers and cousins and uncles who have served. Sadly none with the K9 unit. The last story was the most tender of all of them And touched my heart deeply
I’m so upset with the way Antonio and Leesa’s relationship went and it was left on a cliffhanger and then you can’t read the next book in the series without buying it!!!! Very upset with this!!!!
While this was a GREAT read the reason for the 3 star rating was because it was too short. It felt like there was more to the story than just what was written.
Really loved passion and duty and i can’t wait to get more!! I wish they weren’t short stories because it left me wanting so much more than what was given but I still loved the different stories.
