Shielded is part of the Rugged Mountain Security series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, fake dating, curvy girl gets her hunk romance. Siren needs a date to her mother's wedding. Ox, who is dating her sister Jo from the prior book, runs a security firm with his brothers. Siren bribes him into getting her a date with his brother, Perry. He is a hunky, inked, ex-military, alpha male. The two are insanely attracted to each other. Will they realize they want more than a fake date? Their chemistry was so hot, and the ending was super happy. I loved it!.

This new series of Rugged Mountain Security is packed with goodies.

Siren is a wild child who doesn't let much hold her down. That being said, her Momma knows how to corner her faster than she can move. She's talked her brief ex, and now partner to her older sister Jo into getting her a fake date for her Mom's wedding. Ox was having none of it, but he knows Siren is desperate, and he knows he owns siren for bringing Jo into his life.

Perry is a brother of Ox's, working with him in their security firm. He has no time for drama, or small talk. He isn't really excited about having to do this job....well until he meets Siren.

These two give as well as they get. Its heat, sass, lust, and a whole lotta chemistry. You can always feel the pages singe from the heat the two are putting off. Its been impossible to tame Siren, but Daddy vibes Perry is ready to make that happen. Even though its intense, it feels forever. Perry can handle her mother, and all her bold questions, and Siren can give up the control she holds to so strongly.

This is white gold hot, and worth every page you are gonna turn to read it!!

It’s okay-ish…

This is an okay story. A short one. I didn’t love it for several reasons but … it’s just ok.
This is why. I found contradicting thoughts in Perry. He says he doesn’t need sex or want a woman because it’s distracting for work and it messes with hormones and fogs the mind. So, I thought he was a virgin. Job was lore important right? But then he says a woman got naked and grabbed his p, and asked for info. And goes saying that sadly he knows it’s an effective technique. So, I guess he went with it. Also, he says he saw half naked women. And adds: A LOT. Ugh. Not my type of H. Theres a lot of spanking. Almost all the book is about spanking. Also, from not wanting a woman to saying if we have sx you are mine. Oh, well.

Siren is facing going to her mother's wedding single and found out her ex will be there. She doesn't want to get back together so she formulates a plan to take a fake boyfriend.
Perry, former military and hot as sin also her brother in law's brother is picked for this assignment. Good thing he has hostage negotiating experience.
I loved this book and would recommend.
Quick read, military, alpha male, small town, steamy, spanking, OTT HEA.

Shielded is a spicy hot insta-lust sassy novella! Perry and Siren are so much fun—from their sassy banter, her defiant mouth, and his need to protect and cherish her no matter what. Perry is a hard man to break—retired military man who has never truly opened up to a woman. Siren is his opposite in every way—and he calls it out beautifully when the opportunity arises. They are oil and water doused with gasoline and lit up like the Fourth of July. I loved every moment of this fast-paced love story. Yes! Yes! Yes!

This story was steamy and quick, but was fulfilling. It has that instalove to a taboo relationship, but it all starts with a fake date that quickly becomes a real date. The story, save for the epilogue, is one day but a lot seems to happen in that single day, thereby setting firmly this couple's future. I also loved that the epilogue addressed the age gap situation for their future years as this is the first time I've read that in a book. It's something that's often glanced over and I appreciate the author for putting that into the story.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Siren and Perry. Siren needs a date for a wedding coming up so that she will have protection from her ex. So she begs her ex/brother-in-law to get her one. Little did she know he would set her up with his brother Perry. Perry has sworn off women since she who shall not be named. He agrees to go as Siren's date for his brother but isn't looking for a girlfriend. What happens though when both develop feelings? Will it be a HEA or will they both run for the hills?

Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I loved Shielded. Siren needs a date and not many people can handler. She has lots of opinions and is picky. Perry is doing a favor for his brother by going with Siren to a wedding but it turns out he’s a sucker for a disobedient Siren. When something fake takes a realistic turn, will they see where it goes or stop before anything can happen? I loved the story and the characters. I can’t wait to read Dot’s story. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Siren needs a date for her mother's wedding because an annoying ex will be there, and she badgers her new BIL Ox to get one of his guys to help her out. Ox reluctantly sends one of his men Perry, whom he knows would be able to handle Siren, who is herself a handful.

I enjoyed this short story that was a great continuation from the first book about Siren's sister Jo and Ox, and Siren's bestie Dot was hilarious in this book, I can't wait to see what she gets up to in the next book in the series.

Ranger has never been affected by a woman until he meets Siren. She is mouthy and needs a firm hand that he is more than willing to provide.

Siren is sassy and mouthy, who claims she does not need a bossy or dominant man.
Perry works with his brother Ox( they own a security company). She agrees to fake date siren. Perry is dominant, bossy, and ex-military plus he's a hottie.
They clash in the most interesting way 😋. I love the banter. The chemistry is off the charts hot!!

I really enjoyed this book, but then I’ve enjoyed and loved every book I’ve read by Khloe, it did however take me a bit to warm up to Siren. At first I thought she was snarky and entitled, but I ended up loving her! Her and Perry were excellent together, and the spice was HOT! I loved how Perry was so dominating with her and quick to spank her!!
Looking forward to Dot’s book next!

This short story was great.
Siren needed a date for her mother's wedding , but what she got was way more then she could have ever expected.
Perry is an ex military who is not a push over. He can not deny the attraction he feels for Siren. She pushes his buttons, but nothing but a good spanking will fix that right up.

Siren dated Ox a big man from Mountain Security but they did not get along. Then Sirens sister falls in Love and Marries Ox.
Siren needs a fake date for her Mothers wedding, so Ox asks his brother and co-worker if he would take Siren to the wedding. Who would have guessed that Perry knows exactly how to negotiate !!

Siren and Perry are the age gap couple who star in this 2nd book of the series.
Whew! Instant chemistry and spicy times with these 2. A tiny bit of drama but nothing serious. Super sweet epilogue!!!!
