This book was rough. I have read Rebel Bloom books before, and this one was quite possibly the one in the worst shape, for me.
First, starting with editing/grammatical issues.
At 28% in, the word know was used rather than now.
At 37%, there was an instance where it seemed as though the author forgot whose POV we were in for a moment.
At 65%, the word school used instead of score
At 67% the word Hello looks like it has a zero rather than the letter o
Any one of these things is enough to throw me off, and normally wouldn't bother me. However when there are simply this many, that tells me that the editor isn't paying enough attention.
Story-wise, there seemed to be a disconnect. After their one night together, suddenly it was 2 months later, and all 3 just suddenly wanted to get back with her even after no contact. If they were so hung up on her, why didn't they try reaching out sooner? And at the beginning when they first got back together, if she was so upset over losing 2 of them once paternity came back, why didn't she reach out sooner?
The MMCs jobs/backgrounds felt like an afterthought. Just something for them to garner attention, but then wasn't really a factor in anything other than they were rich.
I did like the beginning with the retreat. I would have liked more in-depth of that time together, and take out some of the droning on later in the book. At about 65%, I started to wonder where things were going. It just seemed aimless.
I will not read this book again, and I probably won't recommend it to others. There are many other, better RH books out there.
