Shit was ass.
The first book was beautifully written and captivating as opposed to this wattpad bs.
Recap:
Before starting a fight scene the fmc goes "Alrighty then I guess we're doing this" then proceeds to take on 5 guys at once while talking about the rage she feels.
Then her and her mate have the cringiest sex.

The whole story was rushed and was a hard read. Skimmed through the end of it once i hit 60%.

La relación de Mai y Ryan sigue sin gustarme lo suficiente, incluso me interesa más la de Derek y Sofía o Mason y Shya

Por otro lado, esperaba que se le diera importancia a la muerte de Jem, pero parecía que a nadie la importaba. Y el final de que supuestamente está vivo ???

I've been really enjoying this series and I've actually binged books 2, 3, and 4 back to back so and 3 reviews will be coming back to back grouped together with a bunch of other reviews.

Renegade Mate is the second book in the Rescued Mate series, and I have fallen in love with not only this series but also with Kira Nightengale and her writing.

I was really looking forward to reading this book after I finished reading Runaway Mate which was the first book in the series and with that cliffhanger I was really glad that I didn't have a long wait as the 2nd and 3rd books were already out and I could just jump right in and binge them back to back. Thankfully, this book picks up right where the first book left off, so I knew right away that I was in for another crazy ride.

And I was right, hoy boy, was this an insanly crazy ride. Thankfully there was less angst in this book then the first book but that does not stop it from still having the same action that the first book has and believe me, you are not going to be able to let alone want to put this book down. I loved the mystery element that it has and how the sub-plots from the first book are drawn over into this book.

I do like the tension and chemistry between Mai and Ryan and their relationship and how it feels real with the angst. I also enjoyed seeing them as the Alpha couple as this new renegade pack. They don't have a perfect relationship, and they do clash, which is to be expected, but I loved reading about their makeup sessions.

I also loved seeing the development of the other new relationshops in this book and into the series. Declan and Sofia give me all the feels. I recommend that you read the novella before the books so it all makes more sense to you. Sign up for Kira's newsletter, and you'll get it for free.

I really liked this book and this series. I really look forward to reading book 3.

If you haven't started the series yet, why not? If you've only read book 1, start book 2 like yesterday. If you haven't started book 3, get on it. This is such a fun series. I just loved it.

Wow this book was so good 🤩 This is the sequel in the Shifters of the Three Rivers and I absolutely loved it!

I was highly anticipating this book after reading the Runaway Mate (book 1) last month - that cliffhanger ending was intense! Fortunately, this book picks up immediately after and holy crap what a crazy ride!!

While this book has less angst than book 1 - it is action packed!! You won’t be able to put it down for a second. It had a mystery element to it which I really enjoyed and I liked how subplots from book 1 were developed more in this book.

Although I liked the angst in book 1 surrounding Mai and Ryan turbulent relationship - I enjoyed seeing Mia and Ryan try to navigate in their new roles in their renegade pack as a mated couple. They are by no means perfect and still have their clashing moments, which were so fun to read - especially the making up part 😉

I also liked seeing the development of relationships that will feature in this series. Declan and Sofia for one gave me literal goosebumps. I recommend to read their novella before reading this book so certain events make more sense 😅 you can get it by signing up to the authors newsletter 🙂

Overall I really enjoyed this book and I cannot wait to see what’s in store in book 3!

If you loved book 1, you are going to love this book!! Like I said it’s a little different but just as addictive! And if you haven’t read this series I highly recommend to start it!

Claws, teeth, and fur.

This book was amazing, action-packed, and full of emotion!

I was fortunate enough to be an ARC reader for this book and I feel so lucky. Kira Nightingale has a way of weaving together a storyline that makes you feel both the characters' hope and trepidation.

It was hard to write a review about how much I enjoyed this book because I could say so much. This book had everything you could ask for from a book centered on shifters. Mai is still unsure of her newly formed bond and her capabilities after everything that went down in the last book. Ryan is trying to take things slow with Mai, letting her get accustomed to being fated mates and letting her come to him more even though he is driving himself crazy sometimes with wanting to be overprotective.

My favorite parts in this book were for sure the romance between Mai and Ryan and the fighting scenes. The fight scenes in this book were everything we could ask for and more. Each fight, each step, each interaction helped to build the foundation of the story and kept you engaged.

I felt the spice was decent in this book too. It wasn't over the top and it fit and showed to build the firm relationship you see between Ryan and Mai.

Also....THAT ENDING?!?! WHAT! I have to know what happens in the next book! It's a must!

This was a great read after the first book. It was a little slow in the begininng chapters but it soon picked up, without any signs the characters were being thrown into dangers you never expected leaving you gob smacked! :)

Must read to see how Ryan and Mai adapted to their new roles and responibilites and witness their growth together in trust, power and as 'ALPHAS'.

Wow! I found this author by chance on Amazon and I read the first book in hours and then had to wait for this second book to come out and what a wait it was!!

From the moment I picked up this book I couldn’t stop reading! It was fantastic. A great start to the second book showing us how Mai and Ryan had to grow up quickly whilst taking over as Alphas and having the rest of their pack look to them to lead as well as learning about themselves and their new found roles, all the time still grieving their losses.

It drew me in all the way through the book and the excitement in some parts from the fights to building new relationships with strangers.

Their love story was what drew me in from the start but it’s become a fast favourite of mine because of their friendships and loyalty and I can’t wait to see what book 3 brings! I just wish I hadn’t read it so quick!

The only thing I wish was there was a bit more romance but fingers crossed for book 3!

If you haven’t tried reading these books then all I would say is what are you waiting for!!!

I read 4 books straight after each other and therefor it is a bit difficult to remember where which book end and the next started so I am doing a review on the entire story.
Please read the trigger warnings as there is on and off page abuse happening.

This is once gain a story with a very strong FMC and for every strong FMC you need a strong MMC. And this is true for all these books. Each tell their own story with new main characters but all the characters stays there throughout the books and creates a story line, so it is not recommended to read them as standalone.

This is a great shifters romance about family and friends but also about loyalty and trust. Sacrifices are made for the greater good of the packs. I had quite a few different emotions during this story but I was always kept interested and on edge. The timeline I ran through these 4 books should indicate that I couldn't stop reading.

Book 2 is not any better. You can skip book 1 The Runaway Mate and just read this one as there is a lot of catching up from book 1 in here. So you will not be lost in this story.

Once again why was the FMC a victim of Domestic Abuse when she is shown to be a formidable opponent?. I mean she single handed took down(I think) 5 werewolves.

I also did not like how the MMC always had to get her permission to do anything. FMC was always complaining about not being given a chance to make decisions and MMC always protecting her but then she goes and does something so STUPID that she really did need a keeper. Idiot girl

Anyway I don't think that this series needed 3 books about this couple, 1 book would have covered everything.

I COULDN’T PUT IT DOWN!!!

5⭐️ Across the board and I would give it more if I could! The growth of bonds and connections was wonderful, and even more self growth for Mai, loved it so much for her. The struggles she suffered broke my heart for this FMC, but in flies Ryan, the MMC Book Husband that we love! Their bond is ever growing, it’s magical.

I don’t want to give anything away, all I will say is that the revenge in is so SWEET! I hope it gets even sweeter in Book 3.

If you haven’t started this series, DO IT! Kira doesn’t disappoint. It is a connected series, so start with Book 1.

I’m beyond pumped to see how Mai and Ryan handle it next.

This is the second book of this series and I absolutely enjoyed it. I was able to read it all in just a couple days and thoroughly enjoyed every twist and turn of this fantastic story.

The characters were everything I needed. The strength and struggles of Mai, the FMC was amazing. And Ryan was everything I needed in a MMC. Their love was almost magical and made the twists of this story just a little sweeter.

Do yourself a favor and start this series now so you’re ready when the next book comes out!!

I loved this book.

This book was filled with the angst and action we saw in the first book. It was amazing getting to see the characters back and joining them again on their journey. I loved how we got to see more of Mai and Ryan and their bond, but also more of the Shaw brothers. The relationship between Derek and Sofia is exciting and I cannot wait to read more about them in book 3. Of course this book wouldn’t be like book 1 without a twist for an ending. It was amazing and cannot wait to read more in book 3.

this one was more plot driven which i really liked as it lacked in the first book. we got a more indepth feel to the characters and what happens in alpha households.

i’m excited for the third book to wrap up mai and ryan’s story. and i really hope they sort out everything that was sort of a sub plot, although still a major issue in this book.

and i can’t wait for more derek+sofia and mason+shya crumbs!

Kira nightingale has done it again.

Second books frequently are a let down but this one??! This one kept me flipping through the pages and I finished in what felt like only moments.

The characters developed further and didn’t feel like only one trick ponies. She keeps you on your toes throughout the book and rooting for the good guys.

I’m just going to be impatiently waiting for book 3 now.

Wow! Such a great book!

Wow! Could hardly put this book down! I was selected to read this as a ARC and absolutely LOVED it! The growth of this couples bond and connections was wonderful and Mai's personal growth in this book is great. After all the hurt and suffering that Mai has gone through the revenge that Mai and Ryan give is so great, I don't want to give anything away but I hope there is more in book 3. But man that cliffhanger! When does book 3 come out?

Kira has done it again! Book 2 was an amazing whirlwind and I cannot wait for Book 3 to come out at the end of July. Was a part of this incredible author's ARC team and I am so thankful for it. This book continues the story of the two fated mates and makes the reader fall on love with them all over. It does end on a cliffhanger, BUT don't worry.. Book 3 comes out VERY soon! A must read for any reader, especially those who love fated mates.

I love this series so far. I absolutely LOVED the first book, and I enjoyed this one. I feel like something was missing in this book that was in the first book, but I enjoyed it so much! I loved seeing Mai come into her own. Her role as the half of the alpha pair with Ryan came so naturally. I loved Ryan of course and the rest of the Shaw brothers. I loved their renegade pack and their love and loyalty they had for one another. I loved seeing Mai and Ryan progress in their mate bond and encourage each other towards fighting to be the alpha pair. I also really enjoyed all the action scenes. I wasn’t really expecting the cliffhanger… I’m hoping it’s true because I felt cheated after the first book lmao. Also really excited for the rest of the series (Mason and Shya, Derek and Sofia, and whoever Sam ends up with lol).

Mai and Ryan are the alpha pair selected. They are trying to claim back their pack by traitors. They are going up against Hayley (who took out Mai's brother) and Brock. But while dealing with this, they are dealing with other things going on. The growth and connections we see, and the self growth for Mai. A good read!
