I longed for magic. Now I have it. Powerful magic. It has caused chaos in the supernatural world like never seen before.
It’s not only my magic that’s the problem—it’s also a spell I cast that changed everything. To save my friend, I reversed vampirism, earning me the top spot on the magical elite’s most wanted list. They want me stripped of my magic or dead. Preferably the latter.
Their fears are justified. If I can reverse vampirism, what other life-changing things can I do with my magic?
I've made more enemies than I can count, putting my life, my friends, and Mephisto, the man I love, at risk.
Now I have to depend on the help of enemies-turned-temporary allies. How can I deal with the danger ahead of me, when I have to watch for the threats at my back?
Spellcast is the thrilling conclusion of the Raven Cursed Series.
McKenzie Hunter is the author of urban fantasy, dark fantasy, and paranormal romance books. She discovered early that new adventures were just a page-turn away; all she had to do was read a book. She’s had her share of escapades from hanging out with vamps, joining the chaos of shifter packs, creating spells with witches, and avoiding deals with the fae.
When she isn't working on her next book, she’s reading, binge-watching TV, or disappearing into her own world during nature walks (probably on the lookout for magical beings—or maybe not).

I absolutely loved this ending to this series! I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every book, but didn't really have a clue how the whole story would be wrapped up. I do love being surprised by the final book in a series as it's always so much better than what I could imagine happening!
In this one, an elf is new to the scene - an elf with some very determined and close-minded views. She is incredibly powerful, maybe more so than Erin herself, but her plans go against everything that Erin and Mephisto want. Add on top of that the revelation that Erin was able to reverse the vampirism from a newly turned vampire, everyone and anyone seems to be after her blood! Erin is definitely getting attacked from all factions and on all sides.
Luckily for Erin, she has many allies on her side and even those who are not strictly allies are willing to help in certain ways if it will bring about peace. There's many tough decisions to be made, lots of deals to be dealt and trust to gain!
I love Erin - she is a great character to read, willing to do whatever she can to right the wrongs of the world, some of which were her own doing. She is powerful, but without being pretentious and arrogant about it. Mephisto is a great partner for her and I love how he challenges her at the same time as supporting her - their relationship seems like a great balance!
If you are looking for an amazing urban fantasy series, with great characters and world-building, with strong, unexpected at times, plots. then this series is for you. Just start at the beginning!
I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this series because it had ALL the elements I so dearly love: intriguing characters who evolved in a believable fashion; mystery/suspense/thriller aspects in EACH of the seven books; romance; and consistency in world-building (the author remained faithful to the mythos she had created).
What I detested in the finale of this series were the technical errors. Those errors were mainly of the incorrect word variety (“unbalance” instead of “imbalance,” “in reverence of” instead of “in deference to”) and verb tense errors (“had showed” instead of “had shown,” “had got” instead of “had gotten”) – but in defense of the author, NO ONE younger than age 50 seems to have been taught how irregular verb past participles are conjugated. There were also the occasional pronoun errors and several typos. Weirdly, the first few novels didn’t have as many errors as the later novels…
Anyway, long story short – this series is a MUST READ for fans of a slow-burn, fantasy, romance, thriller genre. I really think McKenzie Hunter has cornered the market on this vein of supernatural romance novels (“vein” – vampires – get it???)!
This is the final book of this series and it does not disappoint. Erin is now confronted with a young elf who is bound and determined to close the veil and send the Huntsmen back, except there is a tiny problem; they don't want to go back and Mephisto especially since he is in love with Erin. But this young elf has a tool that could destroy anyone who is close by. And she wants to write wrongs committed by those who came thru the veil regardless if they have done nothing since arriving on this side. Erin saves Dr Sumner from becoming a vampire and now she has to confront if what she did was right even though she saved him from a life he never wanted. I think everyone showed up in this book and like I said it does not disappoint. Obviously you need to start with Book 1, but it is worth the adventure.
I love how this book kept me enthralled until the very end. At 80%, I honestly thought there was so much still to be resolved that it would need another book, but Mckensie not only managed, but succeed in bringing it to a satisfying close. Highly recommended for anyone who has read the other books in the series, who appreciates a strong female lead with the right amount of snark, and a peek into the world of vampires, shifters, elves, Gods, and how they all might interact in a crisis.
I loved this series. It was fast-paced, action filled, witty, and filled with love and romance. All the things I like. The main character, Erin, was strong, powerful, and just an all-around good egg, but the relationships she had in books were pinnacle to my enjoyment. Her friendship group, her friend of the pack status, her zainy extended family, Mrs Harp, and the ones with the gods and her true love. Coupled with intriguing new storyline on each book...it was fabulous. McKenzie Hunter has a new fan in me.
Overall this is a good series with lots of action and mystery. The romance wasnt rushed and there was really never a triangle in it. Erin and M were made for each other. How it all came together in the end was amazing. I never read so many books in a series. I usually get bored of the characters. Although this series is sometimes frustrating and there are some descriptive passages that wasnt necessary I enjoyed reading all seven books. There is sexual content which doesnt fill the pages thankfully. Highly recommended
What a fantastic book to end the Raven Cursed series! I am going to miss these characters and not only the main ones either. The authors storytelling gets you invested in what is happening with the MC’s family, friends and enemies to the point that you want spin-off books about them. I won’t add any spoilers, so grab the series and read it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed 😁 Enjoy and happy reading
Spellcast had me absolutely riveted to each and every page! Pure magic oh how I wish this was not the end but what a magnificent end it is! I absolutely adore Mephisto and Erin and that ending so perfect! This is a truly a must read series if you want a unique and compelling magic system. Enemy to lovers slow burn hot romance and characters to die for! I highly recommend not only this book but the series!
The Raven Cursed series is my favorite yet! From the start, Erin's trials and tribulations grabs us all. Her ability to be vulnerable, her trying to fix what isn't always broken, her fierce love and protection of her family and friends had me ensnared at Mephisto. The path was a bit wild, but she won the man and the acceptance of the magical world.
This is a definite must read series for anyone who loves magic, suspense, romance, etc. etc. I'm actually really not happy that I finished this series as its going to be so incredibly hard to find another book as brilliantly written as this...McKenzie Hunter please please find a way to continue this series... Spoiler alert..maybe Erin pregnant? Thank you so much!!!
I absolutely loved how everything was brought to a close. It was touch and go for a while, I wasn’t so sure Erin and the gods were going to survive. But leave it to Erin to come up with a plan, even if it wasn’t well thought of by several. I am sorry to see Erin and Mephisto’s story come to an end. I have grown rather fond of them. Great job with the finale Ms. Hunter!,
This series was different from what I have been reading. When I first started it, I wasn't sure I would finish it. I had a hard time really getting into the 1st book for some reason. I'm glad I didn't give up and continued reading because I really enjoyed the series!
Hunters work on these books was remarkable and the world building and characters were too. I absolutely loved the ending so so much!! I'm going to miss Erin,Mephesto,Madison all the huntsman,Asher, Alex and Corey I'm sure I'm leaving sum out. If u love fae, shifters, elves and gods with personality out of this world plz do yourself a favor a read the whole series 💓
I absolutely love McKenzie Hunter books and I may have her up on a pedestal after the last few series but I was kind of sad for this ending. I wanted more for these characters and the other 6 books were out of this world good!!! I am glad to have an ending but I just wanted more. I will be happier if there is a spinoff book for this series. 4.5 ⭐️
I have loved reading this whole series and I McKenzie Hunter is a wonderful story teller. I will read anything that she writes, and she must have some very good proof readers because there are never any miss spelled words or unfinished sentences. Just an all round wonderful read.
The conclusion to another fantastic series from McKenzie. Great heroine, wonderful intricate characters and relationships. I loved Erin and her complicated life. The dangers she faced seemed unsurmountable but somehow she always prevailed. The ending was a perfect conclusion for all the main characters and Erin remained undeniably Erin. Plus, I was always Team Mephisto

I am sorry to have Erin's story end but it is a satisfying conclusion. There is always one more hurdle for Erin to overcome and her life is always complicated and chaotic. Now she has to deal with the elf Damia who has a powerful artifact which trumps even the gods power. Erin struggles to find a compromise everyone can live with.
I really enjoyed this whole series. The characters are real and enchanting. Erin and her friends, family, and lovers get into the most horrible, complicated problems, it is always amazing when they figure out how to fix it. Spellcast is a great conclusion, leaving Erin and Mephisto with a true mates love forever!
I thoroughly enjoyed every book, especially all the parts with the raven and the Huntsman. The the books were riveting. I enjoyed them so much. I sort of rushed through them so hopefully I will read them all again one day thank you so much McKenzie Hunter for an enjoyable read.
It is a very well written series. The long-awaited conclusion was worth the wait! Always action-packed, and then add in some spice, sassy humor, and creative and exceptionally well developed characters and relationships.
I have truly enjoyed this series and can't believe it's over! Can we get the wedding of Erin and Mephisto, Kai's and Simeon's stories and just an update on Damia and the Doctor...Thank you for allowing us to see this world. Looking forward to your other reads.
I really enjoyed at 7 books. The characters are well developed and you can connect with them as the books continue. Now that all the books are available you won't have to wait to finish them all. Happy reading!
This first book was a bit hard for me to get into. The main character personality and mores made it hard for me. I almost gave up. But I got really engrossed in the story and needed to read to the end. The ending was a surprise but it worked.
I love this story. I think in many ways we all are like Erin and just trying our best to be. I must admit it took me longer to read this last book knowing her story was coming to an end where she no longer had to fight for her place.
Fast paced read that tied up the relationship in a nice bow. I liked that the Horsemen are integrated with all aspects of Erin’s life & family. Satisfying and fast paced read.
