The tropes pulled me in for this one and I was not disappointed!! TK Leigh is a new-to-me author and I’m kicking myself for not reading sooner. This was a great start to this new series. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

The time has come to start the Saint trilogy,since i have all 3 books in my library.
I’ve been waiting for that to happen,so i wouldn’t have to suffer a bookhangover caused by nasty cliffhangers…..and Cruel Saint proved me right.
It starts off strong,with Gideon/Samuel ready to start his carefully planned revenge on those that were the cause of his torture for the past 5 years.
And part of that plan is taking his former girlfriend Imogene away from his former best friend turned enemy Liam.
The extensive reconstructive surgery he’d had made him a different man,allowing him to build a new relationship with her as his way in.
Only problem is,that he finds out she still mourns Samuel,and thinks he’s Gideon…..a stranger that helped her when she was attacked.
Finding out his assumptions about her were wrong,he can’t help,but fall for her….again.
But at the same time,he’s not ready to give up his plans…not just for himself,but for the boy they framed for his murder,and who ended up dead.
So,he’s facing a dilemma….revenge,or love?
Cruel Saint ended where part of his plans went as expected,but it sounds like there’s going to be some sort of collateral damage….and i’m not sure what will happen next.

Cruel Saint by T.K. Leigh is the First book in the The Saint Trilogy. This starts the story of Imogene Prescott and Gideon Saint. We first meet Imogene in the Temptation series but this book starts her own story. Imogene lost her fiancé about 5 years ago after a shooting. Now she has moved away and has started trying to move forward when she meets Gideon. Gideon is out for revenge for those that left him for dead. I can't wait to read more from this author and series.

I was pulled to this book primarily because of the Suspense and Revenge context it promised but I have to say THIS ONE BY FAR EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS AND
GAVE ME SO MUCH MORE.😻
There's this aura of Suspense right from the start. A woman who's unable to forget her man even after he's gone for five years now and a man who's heck bent on taking revenge on all the people who wronged him especially when they were his very own trusted friends.
I was more than intrigued and as we went deeper into the story, more questions arise but there's also this seductive vibe as we meet Gideon Saint, the enigma about whom not much is known.
Imogene, is trying to pick up the pieces even after all these years and now this mysterious stranger with the blue eyes is making her feel things she's not felt in years.
I had no idea as to what actually happened all those years ago and even though we get glimpses, when Gideon is thinking about his painful past and betrayals bitterly yet I still was clueless as to what and why things happened all those years ago.
There are many things that are happening but more so the people who are making me feel suspicious, not knowing whom to trust. Like Liam, the unassuming and controlling friend of Imogene and other people who trapped Samuel Tate all those years ago.
I really felt so deeply for both Imogene and Gideon for all that had happened and my heart was singing as the distance between them kept on blurring.
Yet, I'm so freaked out to see what will happen when all cards will be revealed and all secrets will be out, whether this bond will survive everything that's bound to happen or will break everything irreparably? Eeep.... So freaked out yet impatient to find out what happens next.
But my goodness, the way this one is written and the story especially the characters FREAKING MAKE THIS AN ADDICTIVE RIDE WHERE YOU WILL KEEP ON TURNING THE PAGES AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.😍
I WAS FALLING HARD FOR GIDEON SAINT JUST LIKE IMOGENE WAS AND COULD FEEL THE GOOSEBUMPS INDUCING CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THEM THAT HAD ME BREATHLESS FROM ALL THE PASSION AND INTENSITY... OH MY🔥
Especially the moments between them both where they speak through their hearts and share their most intimate details not knowing that the other person is the same one they are yearning for, had my heart.
Don't even get me started on their 𝗌𝖾𝗑𝗒 times which were so raw and electrifying that I was seriously melting with their on fire times.🔥🥵🌶️
This first book itself has me so amped up and excited for the upcoming books that I wish I could go in the future and have the next book in my hand already. Ahhhh.... It will be so difficult to wait but I know, totally worth the wait till the next book is out. Loved abso-freaking-lutely loved this one. 5+ 🌟. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

All the jaw dropping stars! Ms. Leigh packs a serious punch with Cruel Saint and makes no excuses for the cliffhanger (and why should she…she’s the cliffhanger Queen)! This heart racing story brings all the spice and heat. Suspensefully hot, Gideon Saint commands your attention and will not be ignored.

This right here is the Count of Monte Cristo modern retelling I've been searching for! The first in a Trilogy, this ends on the perfect cliffhanger!
Samuel is thought murdered and left for dead after his close friend (Liam) (and circle of "friends") conspire against him since he won't sell his co-owned company. His principles are good hearted whereas they want a pay out.
Amidst this, Samuel is having a secret love affair with Imogene (whom Liam crushes on). Sam and Imogene are the sweetest and most genuine couple (I do wish there were a few more flashback scenes but those may be in the next book).
But everyone thinks Sam is shot dead for 5 years, whereas in truth he was saved but forced to work in fights to the death and brutally abused. Like Dantes, he reinvents himself (having needed facial reconstruction from his massive beatings) and creates a new Identity and intricate plan to take vengeance on those that tried to kill him.
I absolutely loved being in his brain to hear how he fought to maintain his cool Billionaire persona but that he'd have moments slip when he was with Imogene. I actually would've liked one of "letting his guard down" scenes to have happened later, but it still works and their fireworks as a couple are intoxicating.
Angst like this, where she keeps questioning his little moments of familiarity to Sam, are what I live for! It's 5 years later, and she still loves Sam's memory, whereas he thought she moved on from him.
Meanwhile, he has a darkness in him along with his capacity to want to love again. He is capable of great passion but also violence and that's so compelling and seductive with him. And it also made my heart break for him because he selling parts of his soul knowing he may lose her forever, and she doesn't even know who he is...yet.
I'm obsessed! This sets up to book 2 perfectly and I was in rapture every page. I read this in one day... on to the next! Highest reccomend!

Recommend you read this book first. VERY important because T.K Leigh has build up sooo much tense in book 1 that you can't went for it to explode in the following books.
From betrayal of greed, money & lust for his girl Gideon is taking revenge to the traitors and revenge for the innocences that were pulled in his murder. Samuel Tate has risen from the dead and he coming for them...no spoilers
" Confucius once said, “Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.” "
Gideon/ Samuel & Imogene love story is just MWAH! Their love is true love because Imogene remembers every touch and emotions that only Samuel created. Now she feels that for Gideon but he doesn't look like Samuel but them blue eyes and electricity she feels. That how much they are aware of each other and past & present...no spoilers
Get ready for lies but a simple touch & kiss can ruin the revenge plan and hidden identity. I can not wait for the revenge to be complete & hope they get their happy ending after all this death & scars from underground fight that Samuel was taken to...no spoilers
I hope in book 2 Tempting Devil we see what happened to Samual. Learn more about the scars & who the "good samaritan" more the devil that took him & sold him for underground fights. Is it link to his former friends that killed him 5 years ago? OR is there a bigger picture that we are just slowly learning OR a random devil just looking for a soul to destroy. And it was Samuel that paid the price...
Suspense. Action. LOVE that can brighten the darkest of memories BUT can they protect each other until the end of this Trilogy?

This is the first book in a new trilogy by T.K. Leigh. This book is dark and twisted. A story of revenge and deceit. This trilogy does connect to another of T.K. Leigh’s series. Gideon Saint is a millionaire. He saves Imogene when she attacked in an alley. The two, keep running into each other. Imogene is trying to move on with her life. Several years ago, she lost the love of her life. She hasn’t felt anything for a man since then until Gideon. Gideon was betrayed by a friend and then a stranger. Now he is back to get his revenge. He has a plan and Imogene is part of that plan. But the more time he spends around her the more he begins to think he may need to tweak his plan. Maybe she didn’t know about what happened to him. The more time Imogene spends around Gideon the harder it is to resist him. Some of the things he does remind her of her ex so much but they are two different men, or are they? Imogene his her love before to protect someone else but she isn’t going to do that a second time. Her friend will just have to deal with the way that makes him feel. This book is a wild ride. Gideon and Imogene are more connected than Imogene knows. I was hooked right from the start. It took me a minute to realize that the series was connected to another one. Once I figured out that is was and which one I liked the book even more. I can’t wait to read what happens next. I have a feeling it will go a bit sideways but hopefully in the end it will have a happy ending. Fantastic job T.K. Leigh.

Freaking fantastic!! Nobody writes a suspense like T.K. Leigh or evokes the love and anger feelings towards a character like she does. And let’s not forget the 🌶️🌶️🌶️!!Gah… I need the rest!!! Give me more Gideon!!

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.
So I was on vacation, relaxing by the pool when I thought "Ooh now is a good time to start Cruel Saint" and cut to a couple hours later and I had FINISHED THE BOOK! It's SO GOOD.
Like a lot of the author's books, it finishes on a cliffhanger, so reader beware.
Remember Imogene from the author's Temptation series? Well she is all grown up and getting her own story! 5 years ago her boyfriend was murdered and just as she is about to start her life over again, a mysterious man enters her life and turns it upside down.
The author really knows how to write a suspenseful romance book and I always look forward to whatever she gives us readers. This book is no different and I look forward to reading the final two books in this trilogy.
So I was on vacation, relaxing by the pool when I thought "Ooh now is a good time to start Cruel Saint" and cut to a couple hours later and I had FINISHED THE BOOK! It's SO GOOD.
Like a lot of the author's books, it finishes on a cliffhanger, so reader beware.
Remember Imogene from the author's Temptation series? Well she is all grown up and getting her own story! 5 years ago her boyfriend was murdered and just as she is about to start her life over again, a mysterious man enters her life and turns it upside down.
The author really knows how to write a suspenseful romance book and I always look forward to whatever she gives us readers. This book is no different and I look forward to reading the final two books in this trilogy.

Imogene Prescott has never gotten over losing the love of her life 5 years ago but occasionally has taken comfort in Liam Pierce but she has stopped after he began getting extremely possessive over her. Her father was a serial killer who killed Liam’s mother and that bonded the two but lately she has been receiving necklaces, mimicking what her father did.
Gideon had planned on getting his revenge on Imogene but will he discover that she was innocent in his “death”. Will Gideon be able to bring down those who wronged him before the truth comes out?
This was such a great book and I loved it. I can’t wait for this series to continue!
Gideon is ready for revenge after people tried to kill him and understandably he is ready for payback. He is brilliant and very calculated in what he wants to achieve and has everything planned out. I really feel bad for him with everything he went through and the fact that he was gotten rid of due to his business and not wanting to sell out.
I loved Imogene’s relationship with her best friend Melanie who went through a lot with her and also saw a different possessive side to Liam. With Melanie I loved the link to her parents, Alexander and Olivia Burnham as their books were the first books I read from this author. Imogene’s mom Julia and step-father Lachlan also had their own books so I loved how all of this tied in together. Imogene is strong due to everything she has gone through in her past but she also seems to be overly trusting of Liam due to their past.
There was an immediate connection between Gideon and Imogene and even though he has had cosmetic surgery done due to injuries she sees something in his eyes that gives her a sense of peace. I feel like he is beginning to see that she knew nothing about what happened to him and I am hoping she is not caught in the cross-fire with what is likely to go down.
The book has you immersed right from the start and immediately you are hooked and don’t want to put it down. This author has an incredible world of characters and I love how everything is connected.

From the beginning of this book I was taken on a heartbreaking, stomach dropping, fist-pumping roller coaster of a ride. I enjoyed the storyline it was original and page turning. The characters were complex and had instant chemistry. This book had me all up in my feels. This is the first book in this series it’s a dark contemporary romance with some crazy twists and turns. This book ends on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see what happens next!! 4.5 stars- By Brooke

He is most definitely an anti-hero, but honestly I get where he is coming from and loved him. Yes, he is still working through things of his own, but I did love him! I didn't always like some of his actions towards Imogene, but I did get it. I can't wait to see where the next installment takes us in their story!!

This is the 1st book in the Saint Trilogy featuring the riveting deliciously dark age-gap, hidden identity, morally grey hero,revenge romance between Gideon and Imogene that is full of incredible twists and turns that lead to the cliffhanger that this book ends on. This book is absolutely riveting it grabs your attention from the very first page until the last page. Gideon has only thought about one thing for the last 5yrs REVENGE!! After being betrayed by the people he mistakenly trusted when they shot him and left him for dead. He didn't think that things could get worse however they do when he's saved then brought to an even worse hell. That's when Gideon made the vow that he would make them all pay and make them suffer as much as he did if not more. In order to exact his revenge he needs one thing Imogene but he has to be careful that she doesn't recognize the man he was despite the disguise. After everything that she's been through in the past 5yrs Imogene is ready for a fresh start so she moves to Southern California to try to leave the past behind her. Then she's attacked and nearly killed in a dark alley she would have been if not for the intervention of the dangerous and mysterious Gideon. Her mystery man's eyes look just like another man's haunting blue eyes the man she was going to marry. There's no way that can be possible Imogene lost Samuel Tate he's dead isn't he? I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this riveting deliciously dark, age-gap, hidden identity, morally grey hero,revenge romance full of betrayal, enemies, intrigue, suspense,and twists &turns that keep you turning the pages to see what's going to happen. I definitely recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this riveting series to see where we go from here.

This is book one in The Saint Trilogy and it is Gideon and Imogene’s story and omg what a great start to this trilogy. Imogene and Samuel used to be in love years ago and eventually was looking forward to a future together only for Samuel to be killed by the people who he trusted the most but nobody knew that he was found in time and his life saved but now five years later and he is back for his revenge with a new name and identity. When Gideon was killed Imogene decided to change her name to Ginny and move to California and she still grieves for the loss of Samuel but trying desperately to move forward with her life but now five year’s later while out with her best friend she is attacked and nearly lost her and it was only because Gideon saved her but he feels so familiar and his eyes are just like the man she loved and lost. Gideon is back and in California but he is not the same carefree man that he used to be after everything that he had gone through at the hands of the monsters who he thought had saved but they hadn’t and now he is preparing to move forward with his plans for revenge. When Gideon sees Imogene being attacked he can’t stand by and do nothing but he will have to be very careful so that he doesn’t give away his identity before he had completed his plan and revenge. Gideon and Imogene still have the same strong attraction and chemistry and they end up starting to spend time together she doesn’t know that Gideon is out for revenge and now his plan has been set in motion he still can’t deny that he wants her. The explosive cliffhanger ending will have you needing the next book as soon as possible to see what will happen next. There are twists and turns along with action, plot twists, betrayal, suspense, danger and situations that will have you turning the pages and unable to put this book down and I can’t wait to read the next book in this trilogy.

Now having read Temptions books about Julia and her daughter Imogene Prescott or Ginny now .. Imogene is all grown up this is her story and what a story it is. You know who her dad was and how evil he was and what he did. She moved to California to start a new life after her fiance died 5 years ago,..But now someone is copycatting what her dad use to do and one night at the club someone hands her a necklas and runs into Gideon Saint

His Ex gf Imogene, his ex best friend Liam & friends have no idea Gideon is or was Sam. What comes to mind when you think of revenge? How does one measure success when initiated, and does one care about collaterals that may come along? With Cruel Saint, TK Leigh takes us on a journey into the” what if’s” and the “how comes”. But our author also gives us insight into the answer to those two questions.
Gideon may be the wealthy stranger, new to the scene, for most. Yet, each step he takes is calculated and planned. Revenge done right, deserves planning. As he sets his traps for those that have wronged him, we get to discover what once was and what once could have been. But betrayal took all that away. And with this story, we see the start of that reconciliation…or lack of.
Imogene can only be described as the strong hero people seldom get to meet. Outgoing when needed but reserved when it is warranted. She has also discovered that life gives no golden eggs. Sadness has cost her plenty and her new start was just what was needed. But it seems some instances are destined to bring new light into her tormented life. Sometimes that light really is a “train at the end of the tunnel.”
T.K. Leigh has been one of my favorite authors for some time. She brings depth, detail, suspense, humor, hotness and the intrigue that keeps me turning the pages quickly. Oh, and she also brings those dang cliffhangers. haha. Considering this is book one, I should have known there might be one, but when it pops up, wow.
Cruel Saint will definitely have any reader engrossed in the adventure, and also restlessly waiting for part 2 in this series. Well done T’K’ Leigh and I am one of those waiting. All the stars lady!

I'm finally getting to read Imogene's story and am eager for Melanie's. It's about Imogene Prescott and Gideon Saint, also known as Samuel Tate. Samuel was believed to be dead, his demise orchestrated by a friend and concealed by others. Liam, James, Alton, and the late Sam were all friends who, along with Liam Pierce, once considered a brother, were in foster care together. Sam, who created an app with Liam, is shot, but his body is never found, and then Gideon Saint emerges. Gideon, or Sam, seeks vengeance on the friends who 'killed' him for not wanting to sell their app. Sam's intention was to use the app's profits to aid young men like himself and his foster brothers, to spare them the hardships of the foster care system. Gideon and Imogene find themselves in California, with her fleeing Atlanta and the memories tied to it, where she and Sam, or Gideon, fell in love, prompting her move to Southern California. Ginny, or Imogene, is assaulted in an alley after pursuing a man who gave her a necklace, part of a series she's been receiving, to discover its origin. Gideon's eyes resemble Sam's, but his identity remains hidden due to numerous surgeries after being rescued by someone who forced him to fight for survival. Once free, he altered his appearance through surgery to enact his revenge on those who conspired to kill him. The familiar eyes and odd occurrences since Gideon's arrival arouse Liam's suspicions, as he grapples with the consequences set in motion against him. This story ended in a cliffhanger and so I do have the next book in the series so I am actually glad I waited a little while before reading it, because I would be anxious about the next story.

Well, totally not surprised that T.K. Leaves us yet again on the edge of our seat with one of her cliffhangers. She’s a little mean that way, but can blame her since it leaves you bitting your nails for more.
Imogene is the cutest daughter Julia could have in the Temptations series, such a great read if you want to know her background and why going out of your comfort zone would be difficult for her. Love that she still bakes when upset and looks forward to her mom’s goodies. A great series you should read but back to Cruel Saint…
Fast forward 5 years and enter Gideon Saint, out for revenge after being left for dead by those he trusted most. Getting close to Imogene is all part of the plan but the feelings it stirs probably not so much. Imogene and Gideon have a chemistry that has them both feeling things they haven’t let themselves feel in a very long time.
Gideon even second guessing his delicately placed plans after reconnecting with Imogene as Gideon but still moving forward... If you love T.K. You know this is only going to add some of those crazy twist and turn and at least one more unexpected cliffhanger after book two. And I for one can’t way for more.
Also, can I just say how happy I am to have “Mr. Burnham” and Olivia back around (even in small moments), and Melanie all grown up. Love that T.K. Merged their stories a little by Mel and Imogene being best friends. A Beautiful Mess Series and its companion books are what made me fall love with T.K.

Also, can I just say how happy I am to have “Mr. Burnham” and Olivia back around (even in small moments), and Melanie all grown up. Love that T.K. Merged their stories a little by Mel and Imogene being best friends. A Beautiful Mess Series and its companion books are what made me fall love with T.K.
Loved every page and can’t wait to see how their story plays out.

Wow! There's nothing quite like a good revenge story. The sense of justice being served after a long period of suffering and injustice is a satisfying feeling. And when it's loosely based on a classic like The Count of Monte Cristo, it's even better.
Told from Gideon and Imogene's points of view, the story slowly unfolds as Gideon seeks vengeance against those who left him for dead.
Gideon's story is a tragic one. After narrowly escaping death five years ago, he's forced to make a choice between love and revenge. His face has been reconstructed, and he's no longer the man he once was, both physically and emotionally. As he stalks his enemies, there's a sense of unease that permeates the story. But Imogene is not afraid of him - she feels a deep connection with him that she can't explain.
One of the strengths of this book is the complexity of the characters. Gideon is an anti-hero. He's a flawed, damaged man who's consumed by living in the past. Imogene, on the other hand, is a strong, independent woman who is ready to move on from the past. My heart bleeds for the shitshow Imogene is about to uncover and, of course, the interesting cliffhanger in this trilogy has me eager to find out what other retributions Gideon has up his sleeve.
If you enjoy romantic suspense with complex characters and a gripping plot, this book is definitely worth a read. Book 2 here I come!

Gideon was betrayed by those he thought he could trust, but after several years, he's finally back to get the revenge against those who thought they could take him out. Imogene has a brutal past that she needs to get away from, not to mention, losing the man she loved Samuel so she's moved to California for a fresh start. She never thought she would be able to move on, but there's something about Gideon that she's drawn to despite any guilt she may feel about moving on from Samuel. They have a ton of chemistry which didn't take too long to ignite into seriously spicy sexy times, but it's still a tad complicated for both of them. On top of this, there's danger to Gideon if those who betrayed them figure out he's after them, and danger to Imogene as well since their lives are definitely intertwined. It made for the genius twists that this author is known for, and I still have so many questions about so many things & how it's all going to shake out since this is only the first book in the Saint Trilogy. T.K. Leigh is also diabolical when it comes to brutal cliffhanger endings so here I sit dying inside as things are really taking off, and the next book cannot come quickly enough! So, don't just take my word for it, experience all this suspenseful goodness for yourselves as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Imogene Prescott, who we first met in the Temptation series, Imogene is all grown up. She has moved to California to work on her career. She meets with Gideon Saint, a man who reminds her of her fiancé, Sam, who she tragically lost five years ago. Memories began rushing back.
Gideon isn't who he says he is but he has a good reason for his subterfuge. He is broken and pieced back together from the man he once was. He knows enough about his brutal near death and painful recovery to devise a plan of revenge and it starts with Imogene.
Well written with well built characters and plot, this author is a master story teller with a talent for writing suspense and drama while weaving in passion, chemistry, and romance hot enough to sizzle the metaphorical pages. You won't want to miss this series but beware, there are possible triggers, morally gray characters, and it does end on a bloody cliffhanger. If not for that, I would have given it five stars.
If you are looking for twisty suspense and sizzling romance you cannot go wrong with this book. It's a great start to a new series.

The loss of her fiance has really affected her and it has been five years. The time has family come for her to stop mourning and get on with her life and move away and start over. When she meets Gideon he is a man out for revenge since he had been left for dead. Not only was he betrayed but betrayed by those he trusted the most in the entire world. His plan is to get close to Imogene but sometimes fate has other plans for all of us. These two have some amazing chemistry. You can feel it bleeding off the pages of this book. There are twists and turns and moments that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved that both of these characters are feeling things that neither of them have felt for a very long time. It isn't a surprise, but if anyone has seen my reading habits or reviews, you will know I LOVE T.K Leigh. She is a master at what she does. I was excited to read this book once it was announced. Mrs. Leigh has once more brought me to the point that I could not put the book down because I HAD to know what would happen next, add in the cliffhanger in her mom's book. Oh My GOD!
So, let's begin talking about this book. It was everything and more! Gideon is an intelligent, sexy, and wealthy man out for revenge. (It totally gave me Count of Monte Cristo vibes, and I am here for it.) His backstory is rough, and I just wanted to hold him. Then there is Imogene, the daughter of a prolific serial killer. She has been through a bunch, too, including the horrific things her father did to his victims, her mother, and herself. Then, the death of the love of her life. (But did he die?) This story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I loved it so much. I was able to see the fall for each other again and I am ready for Gideon to get his revenge and his happily ever after. But will it happen?
