This is one of the most enlightening books I have read so far. I will try to summarize the lessons that I learned from it, this book has many lessons and I need to read it few more times to ingrain it fully. For the first read, this is what I have learned so far:

Rama vs Ravan, is the typical example of Humility vs Hyperinflated Ego.
Hanuman too, a perfect example of humility.

His powers didn't come from the hyperinflated ego of assuming the best. His powers came from humility stemmed from being the best.

Some takeaway points:
1.Accept the reality with courage
2.Put efforts to overcome the reality
3.Do this with undaunted resolve

We often hear that Failure is stepping stone to success, but for hanuman, failure was never the source of his success. He never failed in any undertakings, the essence of Hanuman is he was humble, always accepted the reality, was always grounded yet his heart flew high.

To hanuman, doing his job itself was a reward by itself. Success is in doing the job, by doing it well. The only way to do it well is being involved and immersed in it.

Some-more takeaways:
1.All the challenges are divine-will. When divine wills, he gives you the ability to do so. Be joyful knowing this. Always have a happy mind like Hanumanji.
2.Patience, a calm mind is a success by itself.
3.Courage comes from faith. Faith is required not just for successful life but also for a happy life.
4.Have control over your emotions. Emotional intelligence is an important aspect for attaining success as well as enjoying success.

Hanuman was epitome of emotional intelligence. He was humble, persuasive, diplomatic. He had a foresight. He was able to do anything as he was quick and decisive without giving any time for hesitation. He appears deceptively casual, but he was very alert and responsible.

Hanuman is completely selfless. He is just living a life of meaning. A life of purpose. Meaningful existence. Beauty is not looks, it is how beautiful we lived our life when we do something that benefits the world, that's beauty. We should not lose our identity and our whole existence. Only selfless and committed to the cause is the way to eternal success.

"How can I think of resting before completing the job entrusted to me by God"

The pressure of time and volume of work cannot unsettle Lord Hanuman. He is a work addict. he doesn't get tired and doesn't need prolonged rest.

Don't leave any stones unturned. Do it even if you think it won't work like Hanuman, Krishna always does. Don't shy away. Be emotionally intelligent. Do everything meticulously so nothing is left out.

Reach a state of spiritual intelligence by being tune with your inner self.

"When I am working, let it be me, the one who toils, and when I can do no more, you (God) takeover."

If you focus on money and glory, this is not going to happen. Focus on being the best, doing the best and you could see this happen. Summit is momentary, the journey to the summit is long. Enjoy the journey unhesitantly and without ever deviating from the cause.

There is no job that is small or big. All jobs are one. Every leader should have undivided vision. Any job he does, is not small, as it is part of the whole vision. He always visualizes them as a part of the Bigger Ramkaj.

This is undivided focus and vision that Hanuman had. All our thoughts, efforts, though different are linked as a chain to form the necklace.

Be flexible. Embrace the quality of changing according to the need. The best way to calm a person is politeness. The best way to win an enemy is by being polite. We must also always try to listen before getting angry. We have to react according to the need. Respond your reaction, don't go with your first reaction which is automatic and defensive.

Don't assume. Don't presume. Don't have preconceived notions. Always have an open mind. In our mind we have formed a preconceived notion of everyone, it is only a half-baked statue. You don't know the real person unless you come out of this. Truly, we can meet people with an open heart and mind keeping aside apprehensions of all presumptions and then our mind is capable of embracing every person like he really is.

Hanuman always keeps jumping from one thing to another but he was never irritable or complaining. He does all jobs that were assigned to him wholeheartedly. Doesn't think negatively about the jobs delegated to him. This is called "Acceptance". He didn't work for himself. Even a tiny job he did, he did with his soul as it is part of Ramkaj and Ram to him is the whole universe. He always saw the larger perspective and achieved everything through "acceptance" of all that is given to him, he did it wholeheartedly.

Whom do we really fear? We always thought we fear someone or something outside. Who is the source of the fear? Victory is conquering fear. One who conquered fear has conquered success. Hanuman doesn't have an iota of fear, not because he is powerful but because he doesn't fear defeat, he doesn't fear death. One who conquers fear conquers himself and there is nothing else to conquer.

We all have an ego but don't let it get inflated. Nothing is more dangerous than inflated ego, as soon as you realize this be polite, cautious and alert. True power is to save, not to kill. To become a great master, you have to be a great slave.

Always ask this of God, "O' God fill me with the sense of servant and fortify it each day. Simply do this for me O' lord, and I would do the rest, as you have given me all the implements that I might require."

Hanuman did this and did this always, and succeeded. We can too.

PS: This is my first lenghthy review, I just wanted you to have a glimpse of what the book offers, so I didn't bother to write it coherently. Please forgive me for all the mistakes in this review. Please just take what you like and leave the rest. Thanks.

Author describes qualities of lord hanuman which one should imbibe to be as successful as Hanuman in all our personal as well as professional endeavours. There are lots of examples used by author that refers to hanuman and relates to our life and how we can learn from them. It’s a really interesting and must read for all.

Maybe my bias towards Hanuman is making me call this book awesome but my bigger takeaways are the leadership traits he exhibited with honor and humility despite having the power to change the world himself.

I’m not sure how, but I suddenly felt drawn to Lord Hanuman. Since then, I’ve felt blessed and wonderful, especially as I began praying to him. I used to lack the inner strength to face challenges snd obstacles in life, but now, through my prayers, I feel a renewed sense of possibility and faith. It feels like everything can and will be accomplished; you just need to wait and believe in him.

The greatest quality I've learned from Hanuman is complete surrender. Despite having powers and abilities equivalent to Ram, he remained deeply devoted to him.
