After successfully exiling herself from her home kingdom, Mizarie continues her leisurely road trip. Alongside her beloved cat, Ohagi, and her party member-turned-adventuring coach, Raoul, her travels are full of delicious food and exciting experiences. Mizarie’s next destination is a dungeon where she hopes to find an elixir, a legendary healing item that can restore Raoul’s arm to full strength. As a rookie adventurer who previously spent her life as an aristocrat, Mizarie has a lot to learn—from taking down monsters all the way to exploring her first real dungeon! Follow Mizarie and her friends as they dungeon crawl and prepare mouthwatering meals along the way!
After having dealt with the goblins in volume 1, the MC decides to do some dungeon exploration with the goal of finding an elixer to cure friend. The most promising candidate for such exploration is a dungeon rumored to contain a spirit at its lowest floor. What follows is the light-hearted slow paced camping story we also got in volume 1, but with more people. It is all in all a fairly typical story within the genre, entertaining enough, but nothing special (and relatively short). The one thing that might set it apart somewhat is that kind of has a plot. The MC wants to achieve something beyond getting stronger, and sets out to achieve it. So, a decent read, entertaining enough for what it is.
A food change of pace from battling birds of rotted flesh on the moon. An interesting story about a villaniss tired of being the bad guy. To use a motor home as the vehicle (pardon the pun) is a good idea. I don't know how it is where you live, but the Boomers here have all retired and bought 35 ft. Travel trailers and new monster trucks to pull them and are happily clogging every trailer site within 30 miles of any spot of interest as well as filling stations, fast food restaurants, and tourist trap. So trailers are popular, (as well as "Class C" motor homes. ) as well as the target of ire for those trapped behind the behemoths on the roads. So pack your bags, grab your cat and come along!
I really enjoyed this second volume and I’m already anxious for the third to come out. It was so enjoyable, reading how Mizarie and Raoul rode around, leveling up, doing lots more cooking, exploring dungeons, and generally relaxing in front of a blazing fire. Yes, run-on sentence there, but it was so good I just had to finish it before I went to sleep. ;)
It reminded me a bit of “Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skills” and “The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent”, two of my favorite series. I hope volume 3 isn’t too far in the future.
Another fun adventure! I actually enjoyed this volume more than the first.
This series reminds me of “Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear” & “Campfire Cooking in Another World With My Absurd Skill” both of which I really enjoy. If you like either of those, I’d recommend this series. Conversely, if you enjoy “RVing My Way Into Exile With My Beloved Cat” I highly recommend those series while you wait for the next volume - there’s certainly a lot of volumes!!
This volume was much more interesting than the first one but not by much. I couldn't help but think that the FL is stupid for using a dagger instead of learning how to use a proper weapon.
As the party becomes stronger, so does the RV. It's pretty damn amusing, and in this instance, we get more people who get added to the party and they decide to take on a dungeon crawl (which, as it turns out, is immensely helped by a RV, lol). Fun read that also focuses on "camp cooking" while we're at it.
