Four murders, same modus operandi, a beautiful woman, split radial arteries and six alphabets A, B, E, R, S, U, soaked in victim's blood. What do they mean?
The police is not able to find her because S-H-E doesn't exist. A revenge saga dripping with lust, sex, abuse, intrigue, suspense and friendship. A spine chilling thriller that challenges the very concept of crime and punishment.
About the Dr Pradeep Kapoor is a Paediatrician by profession and a writer by passion. He has authored several bestselling books which have been translated into many languages. His book Make Your Child A Winner was translated into six languages. FOSLA (Frustrated One Sided Lovers' Association), a medical college campus comedy, has been much loved by the readers. He is a member of Screen Writers Association and has written three short films. A web series is on the way.
Satendra Singh, an electronics dealer is found dead in a dingy hotel — hands and legs tied up to the bed, body naked and radial arteries slit longitudinally. Six alphabets A, B, E, R, S, U are spread in his blood. When police check his last dialed contacts, they find a number saved as Sexy iPhone, which is no longer reachable. Though the hotel manager confirmed Satendra was accompanied by a good-looking woman, police are not able to find any further clues and the case is pushed into oblivion soon.
Few weeks later, Chetan Chhabra, owner of Olympia gym is found dead in his house — killed in similar way. However, a small-time journalist reaches the victim’s house and reports details of the murder on national TV. There are also few eyewitnesses who noticed a woman near Chetan’s house on the evening of the murder. But police again fail to find clues that would point at the killer.
And then a third murder — Randeep Rathore a real estate tycoon and the modus operand is same as that of Chetan’s murder. While police again struggled to find any leads, the journalist has bigger break-through when he connects the dots and confirms triple murders happened and not just the recent two that have been reported in media.
Anika, a young woman befriended these three men and using her sex appeal and oomph factor tricked them into alone time and killed them. As Anika found her fourth target Aakash Arya, owner of a fleet of taxis, the newly appointed police officer Kunal Khanna is given the responsibility to catch the serial killer. Will Kunal be able to catch Anika before she gets to her next target, forms the rest of the story.
S-H-E is story of a woman serial-killer who befriended men and using her glam trapped them into getting intimate with her and smartly murdered them without leaving any clues. The story begins in an interesting manner showcasing Anika’s confidence to execute well planned murders. When circumstances take an unexpected turn, she still holds her ground. The reason for her choosing certain men and executing them is also well explained by author at the end.
The story however loses pace after two murders, as police do not make any progress in gathering clues about the murderer. The proceedings feel one sided with Anika having the upper hand, till Kunal Khanna takes over the case. The police investigation should have been tauter as latest technology and forensic evidence means it is difficult for a murderer to be invisible, like Anika.
Even in climax Kunal finding the suspect happens by chance and not through strong investigation. He trying to catch the suspect alone without having any support from his team also feels forced into the narrative and unrealistic. The topic of child sexual abuse that author wanted to highlight comes only after the climax and while it is handled in sensible way, the other shortcomings of the story overshadow the intended message.
The story has a good pace in the first half but the second half especially towards the climax could have been better executed. The story of a serial killer with a motto, S-H-E thrills in parts; if you are fan of thrillers, it will make for a good one time read.
This book is a gripping novel about Anika, a clever serial killer who plans and executes murders with precision. In each case, the crime scene reveals the letters A, B, E, R, S, U, creating a mystery for investigators. The story begins with the murder of Satendra Singh in a seedy hotel room, followed by Chetan Chhabra and Randeep Rathore in similarly gruesome ways. The police struggle to find leads until Officer Kunal Khanna joins the investigation, determined to solve the case.
The author skillfully builds tension and suspense in the first half as more killings occur. However, the pace slows down as the police hit dead ends, picking up again when Kunal's character is introduced. The story gains depth as a journalist uncovers details about the triple murders.
Anika's character shines through her confidence and meticulous planning. Her backstory, revealed towards the end, unveils her motives tied to themes of vengeance and sheds light on issues of child abuse.
One criticism is that the police struggle to decipher the codes left at crime scenes, which seems unrealistic given their simplicity. Also, Kunal's decision to confront Anika alone feels implausible and stretches credibility.
Despite these flaws, the novel delivers an unexpected twist that keeps readers engaged. It's well-executed and leaves a lasting impact, making readers rethink the entire plot.
Overall, S-H-E is an exciting read with strong characters and an intriguing plot, though it occasionally loses momentum. It's recommended for thriller enthusiasts who enjoy suspenseful twists and turns. If you enjoy stories where the ending surprises you, S-H-E is definitely worth reading.

The story starts with Anika who rents an independent house along with a basement on the outskirts of the city. Soon after that a series of murder in different areas rock the entire city. All the murders follow the same pattern leaving behind block letters arranged as A.B.E.R S.U. Is it a serial killer or a gang roaming freely in the the city killing people randomly or Are they pre-planned murders ??
The police and public are shocked to witness the murders one after another but they can't track down the murderer as she hardly leaves any traces behind her. Thus the chase between the cat and mouse begins.
The media and press goes ballistic after the serial killer and are referred as agitated bees from a disturbed hive which are ready to sting. Anchors from News Danadan and KalTak have already declared the policemen of the country corrupt and incompetent and demanded the case to be transferred to CBI.
The name and the cover of the book arises a sense of suspense. But the real mystery lies within the book title. It will leave you unsettling untill you get your hands on the murderer. The purpose of the murder will leave you flabbergasted.

"A, B, E, R, S, U" I was trying to make sense of this word since the start of the book but miserably failed each time. Let me tell you guys one thing it's not a tough word, it's a word we all have heard and hate. The book offered a intriguing and captivating murder thriller while at the same time it focused on a really important topic. It was a revenge saga and just one trigger warning that please hold your jaw tightly because the ending will leave your jaw hanging and your mouth open with shock. Even though the storyline after 1st murder was very obvious but it was interesting to read about the intricacies of the investigation and this case and how Anicka was dealing with it. Disclaimer: Please don't try it at home it's a fiction and you'll get caught. It's a short and fast-paced book that keeps you on a edge every time you see the police coming closer the the case. The writing was really engaging and easy to understand. The book is written beautifully and author has made sure to show every minute detail which made the read more in-depth and captivating. If you're a beginner who wants to read a murder mystery or a thriller this book is for you. Or you're someone who loves murder mystery or thriller books you need to give this book a try. It has a mind boggling plot twist and entertaining writing style.
OMFG!!! I just finished the book and can't stop myself from writing about it.
In the beginning, the book is interesting, then after the first killing, it feels flat because you know what's going to happen, but then in the end, there comes the twist, a totally unexpected twist that caught me off guard. I'm speechless.
While reading the book, you'll think that you know everything, and it was pretty easy to guess why S-H-E was killing those men, but, my friend, trust me, you don't know everything. I was going to give this book 3.5⭐, but the ending made me give it 4.5⭐.
The writing is good and understandable. It's my first book by the author, and I can connect to the author's writing. The issue I found in the books is that it was way easier to understand what ABERSU means, but the police weren't able to understand it. Now, that seemed dumb to me.
Other than that, everything was good.I'll definitely recommend you read this book, just for the shocking revelation at the end.
S-H-E by Pradeep Kapoor is a captivating murder thriller that will have you at the edge of your seat. A bold and beautiful woman has committed the murders of four men, with a strikingly similar pattern and the presence of the same six letters at each crime scene. Despite the efforts of the police department no definitive clues have been found, leaving the question of whether the murderer will be apprehended or if an unexpected twist awaits. The book offers a compelling portrayal of a perfect murder, with a keen focus on the intricacies of the police investigation. Every minute detail is authentically presented, providing a thoroughly engaging reading experience. Who is S-H-E, and what ulterior motives drive these actions? I found the book to be thoroughly enjoyable. If you share a passion for this genre, I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a read.
Satendra singh owns an electronics shop. He met a woman named Anika, who came to buy an iPhone in his shop. She befriended him and later killed him. He was found dead in the hotel but no one knew where she went, how she looked or anything about her.
While the investigation is still going on, another murder has happened. This time it is a gym owner named Chetan Chhabra. As it happened in the same way of how satendra singh killed, it was to be considered as a serial killings. Though a few people spotted her, they couldn't leave any information that could lead to the killer, Anika.
Third murder was Randeep, a builder who owned a construction company. This time also it was done by the same woman but police couldn't find any leads as to how and why these murders are happening nor the motive of the crime or who will be the next person and when will these serial killings stop.
Kunal Khanna started investigating the case from a different angle. He couldn't connect the dots and was thinking what he was missing. Later, at one point, he realised that all of the victims were from his school seniors who were actively involved in ragging. And then he knew that it is Aakash Arya who is going to be the fourth victim.
Will Kunal Khanna save Aakash Arya? Will he find the killer? is in the rest of the pages.
I finished this book within a few hours. It was a very gripping story yet I find it lagging after the second murder. Even if the killer seems to be very smart and planned everything perfectly, she must have left some clues without her knowing. They could have done their job well without leaving room for the next murder to happen. It was the only thing I couldn't accept. Other than that, it is a perfect mystery and thriller fiction to pick.
