A cute story of lobsters in a blended family

A young lobster kid introduces his dad, mom and stepdad, they live in separate houses but they all do nice things together like playing at the beach, watching movies, making tasty snacks, reading bedtime stories and making crafts.

I previously read the author’s stepmommy book before this one, and I am just as satisfied with stepdaddy.

I felt that the kid listed more activities with the stepdad than the dad, but overall this is a cute early introduction for kids that have divorced parents raising their families from separate homes, with the addition of a stepfather. I would recommend this book to parents, teachers and family counselors to help children learn about this aspect of living in a blended family. Recommended to young readers between the ages of three and eight.

The illustrations are cute and the style is very similar to a collage of paper cut outs.
