This should not be marketed as a Why Choose book. If anything, it’s two couples with a few kinks that sometimes get together. They do, in fact, choose at the end and only see each other occasionally. That’s not WC.

This is book 2 in the Nature of Love series (Total Eclipse of the Heart is book 1 and I read them backwards, personally I was fine and it didn’t bother me at all!).

Iris is the mayor of quiet Ohio town Foxboro. There’s a storm headed their way and with it, 3 hottie storm chasing meteorologists! 🤓 😃 🤠

With no room at the local inn but plenty of room at Iris’ farm house things are about to get interesting!🌪️

This was a hot, edge of seat, fast paced and sadly over too quick read. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and loved their connections. I wanted to see more about them and hoped they would have more adventures together.

Thank you to the author, Dani Galliaro, and Happily Booked PR, for the opportunity to read this book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I think this is the first novella I’ve ever read that didn’t leave me unfulfilled.

I’m always excited when one of Dani’s advance copies ends up in my inbox and this was no exception. In so few pages she managed to elicit a ton of feelings. This book follows meteorologists who study tornados and… each other. When they meet the mayor of a small Ohio town who insists on riding along with them they can’t help but fall for the girl.

I loved this quick read. And O.M.G. That spice spiced hard someone get me a fan and an ice bath.

It's Raining Men
Novella #2 in Nature of Love
Release Date: 8/27/2024

[4 Stars☺] Wow, y'all, so this was my first MMMF story. I'm not usually one to read stories like this (just a personal preference), but the mood strikes every once in a while. I love Dani Galliaro and her writing, so I took a chance on It's Raining Men, and I ended up really enjoying this fun and spicy novella! YAY ME for stepping out of my comfort zone! Not only did Dani Galliaro write a fast-paced, Twister-inspired story, but she also developed four characters AND a romance in a short amount of time. It's Raining Men is a perfect read for anyone looking to switch things up, or if you watched Twister(s)--new or old--but you want a spicy kick. 😉

+A HUGE thank you to Dani Galliaro and Happily Booked PR for the ARC of It's Raining Men! All thoughts in this review are my own.

I think this is the only why choose book I’ve ever read where I think it would have been a better book without the why choose element…

I read this book in order to scratch the post-Twisters itch and while I do think it achieved that for me, it didn’t do much else. I found myself frustrated at some of the utter ridiculousness of the plot and character actions. I knew going into it I would have to suspend some disbelief… but there’s only so much a girl can do…

The author noted that the book was originally supposed to be just a MF story and you can definitely tell. The other two guys in the story just felt unnecessary and I honestly couldn’t really distinguish them from each other. I mean the book ends with one MM pair and one MF pair. Not a happy ending for MFMM like you expect with most why choose/reverse harem books.

I also had issues with the pacing which is kind of crazy considering it’s a novella with just barely 100 pages. It dragged on for so long and then when I felt like romantic stuff finally started happening, it was like “wham, bam, thank you ma’am” and then we were done. I almost got whip lash from it. I ended up skimming the last 20-30 pages because I was genuinely just bored.

I think this would be a fun one-sitting read, but just don’t expect much from it.

“There goes the man who pissed on my house and ruined my life”

That line really had me lol’ing so I had to share. The book is short, but it has a little bit of everything, and doesn’t feel rushed at all. Iris, Colin, Wyatt, and Garrett are the main characters, and it is multi-POV. I really enjoyed getting to know all the characters, and I loved how well divided the book is between each character, so you’re not left feeling like anybody was less realized or important. The tornado chasing aspect was so fun and a unique twist on romance books I usually see, which definitely helps set it a part. The spice was so hot in this book, but it didn’t overshadow the plot, which I really appreciated. The only negative is that I wish it was longer. I want to know so much more about the characters past, present, and future. Definitely recommend

Summary:

Iris is the mayor of Foxboro, OH. While watching the news, it is announced that a team of storm chasers is headed their way. The storm system is supposed to get bad. She sets out to get everyone in her town to safety. Wyatt, Colin, and Garrett need the data from this storm for their grant.

My thoughts:

This is my third book by Dani Galliaro.

This was not my favorite but I still really enjoyed the book. I do wish it would have been longer. I wanted more of Iris, Wyatt, Colin, and Garrett.

This is a Why choose but done a little differently and I liked it. Wyatt and Iris become a couple and Colin and Garrett are a couple but there are time when all four are together. I really hope @danigalliaroauthor writes more like this.

I continue to love Dani Galliaro’s writing and look forward to future books.

Thank you for allowing me to be on your ARC team

Storm Par, is that you?

In all seriousness, I absolutely loved this short book! I had amazing characters, and it honestly was just such a fun ride.

I found myself smiling and just enjoying the story and honestly felt like I was there with each storm.

The feeling of severe weather like that is thrilling but also so scary for me, so the feelings I got in this book were a real rollercoaster. I loved Iris and her empathetic nature as mayor of the town, and her chemistry with Wyatt was really spectacular.

This is a why choose romance at the start, ending with a HEA!

"I was alone and frustrated.....I didn't feel like I had anything of my own. Now, I have everything I could ever want."

Oh Wyatt, you big old grumpy cutie patootie!

I am a huge fan of Twisters, and I loved the storm chasing in this book! This book almost....ALMOST makes me want to learn more about storm chasing. Lol

I knew I loved Dani Galliaro’s books before but this just added another to my list! It’s Raining Men is a short story with 3 storm chasers and a mayor who cross paths when a severe weather system threatens her town. Tagging along, Iris sees the ins and outs of storm chasing and how important these data points are. On the way, her adventures with Wyatt, Colin, and Garrett get…personal. She ends up being the home base for them when they’re not traveling for storms. Iris and the Boom Brothers are in for a wild ride. Please ensure you read the trigger warnings as there is talk of destruction by natural disaster and I do know that can be a trigger for some. 5/5 story 📚 4/5 spice 🌶️ 5/5 characters 👫🏻 4/5 drama 🎭

Iris is town mayor in midwestern Ohio tasked with ensuring the safety of her community when a large storm is underway. The Boom Brothers, Wyatt, Garrett, and Colin, are also coming into town to record the storm in hopes of continuing to get grant funding and saving many lives in the future with severe storms. As the tornadoes rage through the town, Iris and the men chase after them to get the readings and make sure everyone in town remains safe. Then, as a way to decompress after their storm chasing, the four of them find a consensual way to relax and take care of one another.
This novella has everything! It’s fast paced, straight to the point, and full of my favorite tropes, including why choose, grumpy x sunshine, age gap, and he falls first! Absolutely loved that Mr. Galliaro encouraged Dani to give us what we want 😉 thank you for putting your trust in me with this arc!

5 ⭐️/5… Such a perfect novella!! This why-choose was done so well. All the characters chemistry just meshed perfectly, so authentic and realistic. I loved the dynamics between them. My favorite scene was when they brushed her hair when she was going through it. So adorable, I swooned! Also this made my heart happy because I too grew up watching Twister and being in love with meteorology. All the way back to when I read the magic treehouse book about tornados.

This was a great short why choose romance. It was interesting to see how the storm chasers relax after a storm and how the dynamic worked once she was brought into the mix. Very quick and spicy read.

It's your Why Choose Girlie, telling you that if you're not really into Why Choose or you want to try it out, this is a good one to start with.

I enjoyed the story, I really did. I think I couldn't quite give it 4⭐️ is I felt like the characters were lacking. I wish we could have gotten a little more depth. Maybe it's a me problem and I might struggle with novellas?

I liked how this group of characters meet. It was hilarious. The FMC, Iris, is the mayor and a huge storm is on its way to her small Ohio town. The three yummy storm chasers make their way into town to collect data on the storm, but there's no room at the inn. I love me a meddling character that sends these guys to the mayor's house to stay. She ends up tagging a lot with them on the storm chase. The why choose part was great, and I loved that the story ended in a way I wasn't expecting.

🌶🌶🌶

This book was good… great even. Could’ve been 5 stars… until it wasn’t.
It’s raining men should be renamed it’s raining man because that’s what it is. Sure, she does the nasty with the other couple in this book, but that’s it, that’s is all you get.
I was misled and I’m heartbroken. Multi povs from all the guys, why choose in the title for her to only end up with ONE. Not three… ONE.

Spice Meter 4.5/5

In this 119 page novella, Dani Galliaro brings us the Why Choose we’ve always wanted. MMMF, swords crossing, and (something we don’t get very often in Why Choose), actual human connection. Dani has written these characters that you feel their connections – they truly care and want happiness for each other. It’s refreshing to see this in a Why Choose, when so many of the books in this trope are more about shock value.

Tropes:
Why Choose
He Falls First
MMMF
Trauma (Tornado)
STEM
Age Gap

Characters:
Iris: Mayor of a small town right in Tornado Alley. She cares about her town, and although she was selected as “interim” mayor, she’s now been elected several times. You can tell she wants the best for her town, and going with the Boom Brothers is the best way to accomplish that.

The Boom Brothers: Colin, Garrett, and Wyatt – three scientists living on grant money in an old pickup truck. Garrett and Colin are in love (although neither will admit it to each other), and, after one very scary storm, Wyatt, the older of the three watched while Wyatt and Garrett hooked up. Sometimes he joins in, but not always. Wyatt is the most weathered of the three (if you’ll forgive the pun), being older and more used to storm chasing.

Some Highlights:
- This is the fourth or fifth book I’ve read by Dani Galliaro, who took a chance on me with her Christmas Novella, Glittery, and now I won’t miss a DG release. Her writing is honest, and her characters are some of the most real I’ve ever read. They’re people you know, and people you can relate to. Plus, she’s great at writing spice, (and not afraid to ask her readers questions about it!), so you know she genuinely cares about her books, and making sure they are as accurate as possible.

- My one and only criticism of this book…was that it wasn’t long enough! I would have loved a little more of Iris and Wyatt – and continuing their love story from afar. Having Wyatt pine for her, and perhaps a MMM adult playtime scene where Garrett and Colin tell him to go back and get his girl. This book is perfection as is, let’s be honest, I just like DG’s writing! 😊

- Holy Spice. I’ve only ever been a one-man woman, but…if real life adult playtime with three men was like this…I think I could be convinced to try it.

- Can’t wait for the next book! Thank you for allowing me to be an ARC reader!

Book Description:
A big storm’s brewing and you’ll never guess who’s blowing into town.
Iris Winters is the mayor of a quiet Ohio town, but the peace is about to be disturbed. A massive storm is headed for Foxboro, projected to bring heavy rain, strong winds, hail, and multiple tornadoes.

The storm is also bringing men: three meteorologists chasing the storm, otherwise known as The Boom Brothers. Living on shoddy grant funding, a bag of carrots, and the power of an ancient pickup truck, they blow right into Foxboro with the storm. There’s no room at the inn, but Mayor Iris has extra room at her farmhouse.

Not one to sit on the sidelines, Iris jumps into the action with the Boom Brothers, riding along for their storm-chasing research adventure.

One wild day twists into one wild night, where the feelings are whirling faster than the winds outside.

BWBH Review:

There’s a giant storm headed towards Foxboro and Iris wants to protect her people. Thanks to the arrival of the Book Bros., Colin, Garrett, and Wyatt, Iris knows just how severe this storm could be. She tags along with the storm chasers to get a better grasp on what’s about to hit her town.

It’s Raining Men was such a quick read – I devoured it in one sitting. It’s the perfect palette cleanser after all the dark romance I’ve been reading.

I adore Iris. Her ability to empathize with the people of Foxboro and her love for her hometown runs deep. It amazed me that she was so quick to chase this storm just so she could better protect the town. Now, on to Wyatt.

Wyatt. While he’s grumpy and rugged, he’s actually a big teddy bear when it comes to Iris. No matter how hard he fights it, he can’t hide his love for his “flower girl” for long.

I love that the story doesn’t end with a traditional why choose HEA. All the characters are happily in love and have their own lives separate from the group.

Although I enjoyed the quick read, I would have loved to see this pan out as a full-blown novel. It would give me a chance to better know the characters and watch all the different dynamics grow outside of their professional roles.

It’s Raining Men is perfect for readers who enjoy chasing storms from the safety of their own home, an HBIC FMC, and a cute, but spicy, story about finding love at any age.

Thank you to Dani Galliaro and Happily Booked PR for the ARC.

Wow, y'all, I just finished It's Raining Men by Dani Galliaro, and let me tell you—it was one WILD ride! This was my first MMMF story, which I’ve never been drawn to [tbh, I didn’t realize this was going to be one…], but I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone for this one. This fast-paced, Twister-inspired novella had me hooked from start to finish! The storm-chasing backdrop made for an adrenaline-filled romance, and the spice? 🔥 Let's just say it hit the mark in the best way. If you’re a fan of Twister, Twisters, and some serious spice in your stories, THIS IS A MUST!

Iris, the mayor of Foxboro, OH, is such a relatable, emotional, and strong character. Her dedication to keeping her town safe as tornadoes hit, while juggling her chemistry with Wyatt, Colin, and Garrett (aka the Boom Brothers), made for such a gripping storyline. Wyatt and Iris had that irresistible grumpy-sunshine dynamic, and Garrett and Colin brought their own beautiful relationship to the mix. The blend of individual romances alongside the group dynamic was a fun twist on the "why choose" trope that I didn't expect to enjoy so much!

The only thing I wish? That it was longer, when I started this, I had no idea it was a novella… I WANTED MORE!! The story and characters developed so well that I was left wanting more time with them, especially Iris and Wyatt's love story. It’s not often that a novella packs this much punch in so few pages. The writing makes you feel like you're there with them—experiencing the thrill of the storm, the rush of the chase, and the heartwarming connections between all four characters. Plus, the spicy scenes? Let's just say Dani Galliaro knows how to bring the heat in more ways than one! 🥵

If you're in the mood for something different, action-packed, and oh-so-steamy, I can't recommend It's Raining Men enough! It’s quick, it’s different, you’ll read it in just a short sitting… definitely a palate cleanser and WORTH taking the time to read.🌪️❤️
