*Contemporary Romance BWWM Interracial Italian Mafia Novella HEA*
The characters I write will not be perfect. None of us are. They will make mistakes. All of the hero's will have redeeming qualities, but on the outset, you may not be their biggest fan. My heroine's will be the kind of women you want to hang out with. They're the women next door, down the street and around the corner. They are the ladies you would want to spend time with on a Saturday night drinking a martini.
I have been an avid reader of romance novels since the age of 14 and know what appeals to me as reader. My goal is, and will always be, to provide that same experience for the women and men who read my novellas and short stories.
I’m a former Marine and served for 8 years, so strong military men will always be a favorite topic of mine. I will continue to write stories with military heroes’ front and center. I’m also a fan of Alpha-males and strong women who love with everything they have.
The repetitive thoughts were enough to make me chuck my kindle across the room as well as it was like the author forgot things she had said just a few pages earlier. Definitely could of been better.
**Tangled Deception** centers around the complex relationships of its characters, particularly focusing on Shandra and Leo. The story takes an intriguing turn with Leo, who has been pining for Shandra for years and desires to love both her and her daughter, Amina.
Shandra's patience is tested when Leo brings another woman to Tristian and Camille’s house, escalating tensions to the brink of conflict. This pivotal moment could potentially spark a war but also offers Leo a chance to achieve his long-held desires.
Shandra’s character, unfortunately, didn't resonate with me; she often came across as immature. The world-building was satisfactory, though not exceptional, and the romance felt weak. However, little Amina's presence was a delightful highlight, bringing charm and depth to the narrative.
While **Tangled Deception** isn't one of the author’s finest works, in my opinion, it still has its merits. There were a few noticeable errors, including a significant mix-up of characters' names, which disrupted the story's flow. Despite these issues, the book is worth a read, especially for those who enjoy intricate interpersonal drama. My experience included reading an advance review copy and revisiting the story through Kindle Unlimited.
I received an advance reader copy of this book from the author. This review is purely from my perspective, and all opinions are my own. I am under no obligation to review the book.
After a life altering situation everything changes for Shandra and after a period of healing, the only thing she's focused on is providing a safe and good life for her daughter and herself. Nowhere in her plan does a dangerous but sexy man fit.
Leonardo has felt from the moment that he met her that Shandra was his. Her precious bay girl Amina, is just a added bonus. Shandra may not believe she has room in her life for him, but Leo will prove to her that in his arms is where she and Amina belongs.
If you are a fan of the Web of Secrets series from author Reana Malori then I know you have been waiting on book 2 and it's finally here. Shanda and Leo make a pretty bad a$$ team in the streets and hot sexy couple in the sheets. I love how these two compliment each other which made for a quick and easy read that was passionate with a little bit of action involved. If you love Mrs. Malori's writing then I think you'll enjoy this story.
Tangled Deception by author Reana Malori was a fantastic and captivating read! I loved Leo and Shandra’s journey! The chemistry, dialogue and plot was outstanding! Leo and Shandra set my tablet on fire!! I loved every single minute of this book! It was excellently written and the storytelling was amazing! The star of the book for me was Amina! She was a joy and loved her some “Leo The Lion” something fierce! Leo is book boyfriend material…he was simply yummy!! Looking forward to reading Toni’s story!
Having read Tangled Lies a number of years ago this book was like revisiting a trusted family. Shandra is a single parent who is best friends with the “Donna” of the Lucarelli family. As such, she is not like family, she is family. She and Amina, her daughter, are claimed and protected by Leo. It is in this protection that their lives take another turn and the bada** mommas must strike again. I loved this story.
Leo and Shandra's story was worth the wait. Leo finally had enough of Shandra dragging her feet and had to tell her how things were going to be. Shandra was nobody's push over in any way and had all the layers to her character, including a straight bad a$$ woman. Great read.
The supporting cast helped make the book, especially eavesdropping little Ms. Amina. (LOL)
For starters I want to say I loved this book!!! Shandra hurt and anger almost lost her man because she did not know Leo felt the same way with his own demons. Camille the ride or die friend of Shandra and Tristan the Don to Leo. This book had me when I opened it. Shandra was the boom mom who knocked out Andrea for calling her daughter a Mutt. Then Leo had shown Shandra, he wanted her to be in his life. Then there is little Miss. Amina who hears everything she going to grow up and be a spy.
Will there be a story for Toni the bodyguard, I hope so. Shandra & Camellia are bada$$ I know I agree. That’s how I feel about my children and grandchildren you better step correctly to me about them. I have 3 that is on the spectrum so you really don’t want to piss me off when it comes to them. I pray I find a man like Leo, Shandra has it made that he loves her so much.
This book explained a lot of unanswered questions from Tangled Lies. Shawndra at first pissed me off, what woman is going to act as selfish as she did with a man like Leo. Granted she's been through a lot, it was uncalled for. Her baby has a man who loves her unconditionally, like a true father. I'm glad she came to her senses before the racist got her hooks in him.

Leo and Sandra's book did not disappoint!! Everything about this book was on point from the storyline to the hotness. Let's say it was definitely worth the wait. Leo made it a point to get his WOMAN! I highly recommend this read.
Leo and Sandra's book definitely kept my pages simmering and then burning at the RIGHT spots! Loved the supporting cast making their appearances throughout the book. This book was definitely worth the wait. Leo GOT HIS WOMAN! I highly recommend this book!!
I love the character of Shandra being a bad ass. She does not play about her and her kid. Leo and her together was hot as fish grease. Get this book. I can't wait for ebook for Toni the killer nanny.
If you read book 1, you will understand book 2. It was worth the read especially when it involved the little princess, Amina. The gems that came out of this five year old mouth …. “ I can’t help that I’m a good listener.” 😂😂😂
