I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. It’s annoying when a series turns away from the original characters to a kind of spinoff. Plus I didn’t really care for Terrin, but he actually grew on me. I’m still sad there’s no more Cleo n Hakota. I get bits n pieces, but…. It was still a really good book. Now I’m reading about Sitka…
I forced myself to finish this 3rd book and I can't go on to the last 3 of 6. The relationships are so harsh and dysfunctional and bullshit. You can't get past yourself until you kill your mate? Too violent and unreal, even in a fantasy world. I like some of the written relational interactions, but these relationships would not survive and they disgust me.
Terrin and Syn’s story Terrin had to learn to grow up and Syn had to learn how to take his walls down. Very cute MM story, not spicy, just learning how to be what the other needs.
