My new wife.

Give me an age-gap, mafia, enemies to lovers book and I will read it EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Pearl did an incredible job writing My Bratva Vows. I loved the dual-POV aspect of Marina and Andrey’s story. It really gave perspective to the storyline from both sides. This story had so many plot twists, secrets & betrayals that made for a thrilling read! I could not put this book down to save my life! Andrey and Marina had an instant connection, insane chemistry and really went through a lot in a short time frame of being together. The storyline itself was really good & I loved that Pearl had many side characters that really added substance & depth to the book! The spice was a 4/5. There were some really good scenes *Queue Beyoncé’s “Partition” song (if you know, you know). Marina and Andrey really made this story for me, he treated her like a queen and she did an amazing job bringing him back from the darkness.

“I want to tease her. To corrupt her. To show her my world of darkness. She might be my light, but I’m sure I can make her sink with me”.

eh

The main character was marina but there were times she was called Miranda. Also she said she was a lawyer and then later the male lead was surprised she was a lawyer…

I had high hopes for this book and they didn’t quite materialize for me. It’s what I would call “Mafia lite,” as it wasn’t really dark and there was not much violence (and it wasn’t graphic). I enjoy Mafia lite and dark Mafia books, and I settled in to enjoy this story.

It had a promising start, but as I got deeper into the book, issues started piling up. For instance, Andrey’s perspective did not reflect his age. I’ve never heard a 50-ish man say things like “this is really great” when talking about marriage. His thoughts were more simplistic than I expected, especially for a man in his position. There was also a lot of repetition. Instead of one or two sentences describing an emotion, there was a whole page of saying the same thing with different words.

(Spoiler)

Marina took him back WAY too quickly. The man should’ve been seriously groveling after the way he treated her. He really hurt her, not only emotionally but physically (sexually). He never apologized for that. Marina was right to leave him. His sudden turnaround was completely unbelievable … after months of darkness, Marina shows up telling him not to kill some of his men and BOOM, he snaps out of it and that’s just it. He’s back to normal and they’re back together, and somehow despite the dark pool of depression, anger and disassociation from his pregnant wife that he’s been stuck in for months, he also put together a nursery? That’s a hard no from me.

When I picked up Pearl Rosetta's book "My Bratva Vows", I was excited to dive into another thrilling mafia story. Mafia-themed books have always been close to my heart, even if sometimes the big age gap between the main characters is not always my favourite. However, that doesn't stop me from enjoying well-written plots full of suspense and excitement. Unfortunately, this time the book did not live up to my hopes and I ended up rather disappointed.

One of the biggest flaws of the book for me was the amount of repetitions. In many cases, I found passages that could have been explained in a sentence or two, or even a paragraph, but instead were explained over pages. Not only did this make reading boring, but there was also a lot of repeating words, which detracted from the reading experience.

The logical errors could not go unnoticed. I found it especially disturbing when Marina told Andrey on two separate occasions that she was a lawyer, and then in a later scene he was surprised by this information. These small but annoying mistakes detracted a lot from the continuity and credibility of the story.

The lack of communication between the characters was also a big problem for me. Instead of discussing their worries and solving their problems, they seemed to sweep everything under the carpet. This was especially frustrating because a well-constructed conflict and its resolution could have contributed greatly to the dynamics of the story.

Although the story did contain unexpected twists and turns, the characters' thought processes and behaviour were just as unpredictable and unclear. This made it difficult for me to really connect with them, and unfortunately I could not grow fond of any of the main characters. Marina initially came across as a strong, independent woman who fights for what she believes in, but it later became clear that she had allowed herself to be led for years.

The character of the male protagonist was particularly frustrating for me, as one moment he was gentle and loving, and the next he was rude and violent. The parts written from Andrey's point of view did not reflect his age and maturity. His behaviour and his thoughts, especially his attitude to marriage, were not suited to a man in his 50s, especially a mafia boss. This lack of credibility alienated me from the character and it was difficult to take his actions seriously. The only positive thing I can mention about Andrey's character was the change in his attitude to fatherhood, but unfortunately even that was not enough to make me really like him.

All in all, although Pearl Rosetta's book "My Bratva Vows" contained some interesting and exciting elements, I was disappointed by the numerous repetitions, logical errors and the lack of credibility of the characters. I hope that the author will come up with better-developed characters and a more coherent plot in the future, because it certainly had the potential to be a memorable story.

Hold onto your hearts because this steamy romance will leave you breathless! In the third installment of the Fateful Alliances series, Pearl Rosetta delivers another captivating tale filled with passion, danger, and unexpected twists.

Marina Rossi finds herself drawn into the dark world of the Bratva when she crosses paths with a man who's as dangerous as he is irresistible. As the daughter of a deceased mob Don, Marina knows she should stay away, but there's something about him that she can't resist.

Enter the Russian Alpha Grump, a man steeped in shadows with a heart yearning for love. When Marina becomes his bride, their worlds collide in a whirlwind of desire and danger. But amidst the chaos, their love blossoms, defying all odds.

Rosetta masterfully weaves together elements of age gap romance, enemies-to-lovers, and steamy BDSM to create a story that will leave you hooked from start to finish. The chemistry between Marina and her grumpy alpha is electric, and their journey towards love is both heart-wrenching and heartwarming.

But it's not just passion that drives this story forward; it's the unwavering strength of Marina as she fights for her new family and her future. With twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat, My Bratva Vows is a must-read for fans of intense romance and irresistible alpha males.

While being an amateur writer myself I always try to be very very fair in my ratings.

However, the dialogue between the characters was what stood out to me especially. Specifically with the male lead, when he found Marina hurt or crying he’d say: “who do I need to kill/hurt?” Which while essentially gets the point across he’s out for blood the moment he sees his woman’s tears, it could have been delivered a bit better in my own opinion anyway.

Then while it was very obvious who was behind the misfortunes they encountered as the story prolonged, it got progressively worse when the male lead proceeded to SA the female lead.
Each time they are intimate he holds back but the moment he’s upset, after freezing her out for weeks- knowing she’s pregnant- is aggressive with her on the floor only to NEVER apologize. She abruptly shows up at his warehouse after it’s revealed she’s at her brother’s house to stop him from killing ONLY - for this man to say in front of the men he’s tortured. “No one was going to get hurt/die here.” I don’t know how he expects any loyalty from his men.

And finally I think what really did it for me what during the Male lead’s perspective, his inner thoughts were insufferable, and the usage of words like “awesome” and “cool” while these are perfectly fine descriptive words- I’d much rather read a mafia male lead with a much diverse vocabulary than he provided.

Wow, This book was absolutely amazing to read I was pulled into the story as soon as the first page, this whole series has actually been like it. Marina has stepped up to help with a family problem after both her parents were killed, the uncle has set up an alliance between Andrey a Russian Bratva Pakan and the Italian Rossi Mafia, Marina knows Andrey as her ex-partners father. Andrey is to marry his sons ex-girlfriend, to keep her protected for an alliance. When they touched it was like an electric shock, they didn't expect to grow feelings, when secrets come out will things remain the same.

Two different families; two different age groups, the spark is undeniable. Can this work? Even arranged marriages do, don’t they? Andrey and Marina are just that, total opposites. From the very first meeting they both could feel it, of course they would go their separate ways. A devious plan from one relative reunites them by an arranging their marriage to one another. How long will it last? This book grabs you from the start and keeps you wanting more even on the last page. Author Pearl Rosetta has a way of walking you through family turmoils that leave you wondering what will happen next.

My Bratva Vows (Book 3 of Fateful Alliances) by Pearl Rosetta. There is a lot going on in the background drama of this story, but the main focus is on Marina and Andrey and their explosive chemistry. They end up in an arranged marriage (which is his idea to get her close to him), while navigating the dark and dangerous mafia world, and exploring their newfound life as husband and wife. What had me shaking my head among all of it was the reference to her ex even though they only had 1 date. Otherwise, I enjoyed this story and would recommend to others. Tragedy and Sparks

Sparks are ignited as tragedy befalls Andrey and Marina. An arrangement is made and the only people who can heal each other are brought together. The chemistry is intense and the mystery of what is happening in the Bratva needs to be solved. I could not put this one down and needed to get to the end for answers.

I gave this book about 10 chapters and had to bow out...It's written from both M and F perspective, but they sound exactly the same and there's no way a 25yo virign and a 40-something bratva boss would sound the same. Also "Andrey" is the least Bratva-y character I've ever read. The dialogue was super cringy and the lack of plot was disappointing. With a long list of books TBR, this was DNF for me.

4.5 stars of Bratva reading awesomeness

The author has done a fantastic job writing Andrey & Marina's rollercoaster ride of a story. The connection between them is intense right from the start. She's Italian & he's the Russian Alpha who rescued her from a crap date with his son. Does their relationship have a chance when there is trouble swirling. Who can be trusted?.

The story is a bit hard to read and confusing on what is happening at times. The plot seems solid and it appears to have a HEA that is very conclusive, but it still feels like something is missing. It could be because the way it's formatted makes reading it hard.
