Beverley spent 8 years teaching English as a Foreign Language to International Military Students in Britannia Royal Naval College, the Royal Navy’s premier officer training establishment in the UK. She says that in the whole 8 years there was never a dull moment and many of her wonderful experiences at the College were not only memorable but were most definitely 'the stuff of fiction.' Her debut novel An Officer And A Gentleman Wanted is very loosely based on her adventures at the College.
Beverley particularly enjoys writing books that make people laugh and currently she has two series of Romantic Comedies, both contemporary and historical, as well as a humorous cosy mystery series under her belt.
She lives with her husband in an apartment overlooking the sea on the beautiful English Riviera. Between them they have 3 adult children and two gorgeous grandchildren plus a menagerie of animals including 5 dogs - 3 Romanian rescues of indeterminate breed called Florence, Trixie, and Lizzie, a neurotic 'Chorkie' named Pepé and a 'Chichon" named Dotty who was the inspiration for Dotty in The Dartmouth Diaries.
Hilarious closing of Victory's life. Th escapades, in all these books has had me loudly chuckling, crying and sorry that the tales have finished. Yet again, the Admiral can't help his self, sticks his nose into family affairs, causing havoc for the rest of the clan, while poor Jimmy, his oldest friend and colleague, is roped into the shenanigans, even their wife get pulled in. The whole Family, and their dogs, a treat to enjoy. Now to await till the next series of greatly amusing tales. Thank you Beverley you've widened my genre to include Historical Comedy!
Life has changed for Teddy but in a good way as she lets herself think to what might be in her future except after 30 years her mother suddenly makes an appearance via a newspaper article. No fear, the Admiral and Jimmy are on the case and the rest of her newly found family offer more appropriate support. Light hearted romp through Dartmouth and a visit to a Scottish castle.
It had been a little while since I’d read book 6 and once I had remembered who everyone was, it didn’t take long before I was hooked into the story once again. I particularly like the twist at the end and surely there must be more… Another great read, I’m already looking forward to your next book.
Now I thought that I couldn’t love anyone like the original crew but Teddy is brilliant and I’ve loved the links to the original Sinclair and Shackleford families
What a wonderful way to finish this series. This book has a great storyline and is well written. All the usual characters are involved in the story in some way or other with plenty of laughs. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all seven books
Final Victory is a fun, romantic, feel good mystery. Having read, like a manic, everything Beverley Watts has written, I can honestly say, just pick a book and be prepared to love it!!!!!!
Say it ain’t so. They are hysterical. We need more of this family! Keep the chaos coming. Maybe add the Noon family. Let’s go to Australia. There’s got to be more! I love these chaotic nosy bodies.
Having read all the Shackleford Diaries .to say I enjoyed everyone is an understatement . Brilliantly written .definitely worth reading Thankyou for many happy hours reading your Books .
The last of the series made me laugh, has all our favourite characters plus surprising new ones. Teddy gets her hea and the epilogue made me choke on my tea!
