When my dad sends me to the biker's annual meetup to replace him as a tattoo artist, the last thing on my mind is to bump into a rough biker who doesn’t take no for an answer and taunts me at every turn. I can’t resist his mysterious demeanor, especially, when he won’t take that helmet off at any cost. F/M spicy romance. Standalone novella within the series Ink Our Hearts. Bikers, MMC motorcycle racer, headstrong and stubborn mc's, banter, angst, spice, strangers to lovers, found family. The book is intended for individuals over 18. Full list of CW in author's socials.

I love to explore different tropes and weave my way through them. I’m a sucker for love stories with all kinds of lust, desire, passion, heartbreak & heartache, darkness & healing.
This book is easily my favorite of the series (so far) ! The chemistry between Blakely & Meadow is off the charts! Blakely is the spitfire that Meadow needs. Both are getting over bad exs. Both need a real connection. Finding out they actually have a past connection was fantastic! While this book is a standalone- if you've read any of the other books in the Ink series, you'll be happy to see a few character crossovers !
If you all haven't noticed by now, I'm a very emotional person. Give me a book, that is this powerful and I'm on the floor gasping for air.
' It doesn't matter where your from, it only matters where you're going. We all deserve a happy ending. '
I have read what feels like millions of biker romances, those that usually have an MC that is dark and dangerous or written in a way that would quite frankly petrify you in real life and whilst I do love those, this one touched me more than you could imagine.
A person I love greatly, left us behind in this world. In his earlier years he was a biker who regularly drove around, went to biker meets on his Triumph Bonneville T120, his leather jacket on, blue jeans and his hair in a quiff. Right up until he left this world, he never lost his love of bikes. God, he was the kindest man that has ever graced this world, he loved his family with everything. I know because of him that bikers are some of the most wholesome people you could ever meet. I know, because my Grandad was one.
This book showed the side of bikers that is rarely shown, a side that deserves to be heard! So thank you Kay for sharing it and for honouring the lost bikers.
Okay, so now I've had a cry. I am ready to roll. The first chapter alone, was incredible. The story, behind the story and the beginning of something special. For a novella, I'm absolutely baffled as to how so much detail could be added without it feeling too much and how although it was a novella, it felt like we hadn't missed anything. I can't go into detail too much as I feel like it may ruin it a little bit and I really need you guys to read this one.
What I will mention though, is one thing. Fruit roll ups. What was that? Sorry, do that again. I don't think I was ready... I probably won't be able to think of them in the same way again.

I absolutely loved this book! You pick up a book about motorcycles and think "sons of anarchy", but no. This book was not that. Blakely and Meadow just have something about them that pulls you in. I absolutely devoured this book. Kay Jensen did phenomenal!! The banter! I adore the banter, and the deep connection the characters give you!
Putting the spice aside, I loved this book for the story. Finding out all the little connections between the characters was nice and super cute. If you’ve read her other books, you’ll get a nice crossover between all the characters reading this one. I liked how private meadow was with his life since that’s not really seen as a normal thing these days. Also how likable all the parents were. It was just a nice read with a group of friends and the main characters who couldn’t stop bickering at each other. There’s nothing I love more than banter between characters and they definitely had it all the way to the end. Now the spice? Meadow has a dirty little mouth but I also love how sweet he can be. They may or may not have needed a new bed and that’s all I’m gonna say on that. They both shared some grief and it was touching to read about them overcoming it together. I loved their fated connection and I hope we get to read more about them and the other characters. The ending was perfection and I wish we had more. I can’t wait to read the next one!
Favorite quotes:
“Is it possible that under all that strong appearance you just want to feel weak in someone else’s arms, even for a moment?”
“You have no idea how fxxxing touch-starved you are.” He licks a line that travels from one nipple to the other. “But don’t worry, I’ll touch that broken memory and turn it into pleasure. You don’t need to do anything, just feel me.”
“Beg for it,” he orders with a wicked grin. “Make me.”
“It doesn’t matter whether she has a boyfriend or not, you don’t touch any woman unless she gives you permission to.” Meadow looks down at him but there’s no anger in his eyes, there’s a warning and lack of respect. “You are to pack your things and leave, we don’t tolerate this kind of behavior here.”
“And you already feel like home, a part of the family, a part of my heart.” I finish, my eyes searching hers for any type of indication. I don’t want to lose her. “In all of my chaos, I found a moment to breathe with you. I became addicted to your smile, your laughter, your fire that never ceases to burn me when I’m around you.” My fingers wrap around her jaw. “Your responsive body that always tells me the truth when you hide it.”
It doesn’t matter where you’re from, it only matters where you’re going. We all deserve a happy ending.
Omg this book was so funny. I couldn't put it down. The way they went back and forth with each other. The Chemistry was off the wall. There were the serious moments. And the sex!!! Woo it was hot...Fruit rollups anyone? The only thing I disliked about it was everyone know dr. pepper is better than Pepsi. LOL.
My heart can’t take it. I swear. I have such a girl crush on Blakely. She is such a firecracker and I love it. The banter between her and Meadow is just…. Top tier. And when the spice hit. OH. MY. HOT. ALERT. 🥵 no jokes there. The things both of them would say…. The things they did. The tattoo scene. It will live rent free in my mind forever. I’m also not sure if I can look at gummy bears the same and I’m not even mad about it. It’s just going to make me smile and shake my head. I love that neither of them were expecting one another. They each have their own past baggage and I just genuinely loved reading their story. I could not put it down once it started. I loved this. It was a summer that changed both of them in ways they couldn’t imagine and it made my heart so happy.
Blakely a tattoo artist meets Meadow a tattooed biker.... this novella is full of spice, tension, banter, found family, strangers to lovers, motorcyle and car racing. And more importantly...inked hands😈
Race Me Wilder by Kay Jensen is a captivating romance novel that will leave you breathless. The intense and passionate relationship between Meadow and Blakely is a highlight of this book, with crazy intense moments that will keep you glued to the pages. Moreover, the sizzling chemistry between Meadow and Blakely is electrifying, making every romantic scene feel incredibly real and captivating. Kay Jensen's skillful writing brings their love story to life in a way that is both intense and intimate.
Be sure to check the trigger warnings before diving into this emotionally charged romance novel. Overall, Race Me Wilder is a must-read for fans of steamy and emotional love stories. With a perfect mix of intense passion and heartfelt depth, this book is a wild ride that you won't want to miss. I give this book five stars!!!
You had me from the moment I knew sports bikes were in this book.
I fell in love with this straight from the dedication, well before Meadow and Blakely's beautiful story began.
This book really has it all. Everything from banter and acting silly to a deep connection between Meadow and Blakely. I loved their relationship, they supported each other and respected each other, they had the humour, they had the romance, and of course, the shared love of bikes!! The way they talk to each other, whether that's their banter, a normal conversation or spicy, my oh my, I loved it!! I'm a sucker for dogs, too, so the way that Meadows dogs took to Blakely straight away just had me. I also don't think that I'll be able to eat gummy bears any time soon with a straight face, hah! Loved it!!
I want to say sooo much more, but I'm afraid I'll let something slip, and we can't have that. You NEED to read this!! It's safe to say that this is now one of my favourite books!!
♡ Thank you so much, Kay, for giving me the opportunity to arc Race Me Wilder ♡
💚 In August 2023 I reached out to Kay Jensen because I wanted to be on her team when I saw her post about book 1 in the Ink Out Hearts series. Well, I had no clue that she would be taking me on the most emotionally heartfelt journey. 🏍️ Race Me Wilder is book 4 in the series and I’m still sobbing over the beautiful emotional carnage. I am unable to do justice to the fantastic creative writing Kay Jensen does too develop her characters and the world that they live in. 💚 Blakely is a firecracker poppin feisty tattoo artist. She is smart, talented, and has a sassy mouth on her. Loyal to a fault battling insecurities from terrible past relationships, she is trying to get a fresh start and renew her spirit. What words are explosive enough to do Meadow justice? Sexy, seductive, confident, alluring, desirable, driven, suave, obsessive, possessive oh and did I mention mouthwatering sexy? His mouth is quite filthy and snarky. While all these adjectives are true, he has mental demons he faces daily from multiple traumatic past experiences. At this point in his life, he is trying to have a moment to reflect, rejuvenate and enjoy time with his family and friends. 🏍️ Meadow and Blakley‘s chemistry is immeasurable and they are two sparks about to cause a fiery inferno emotion. Every time they cross paths, the banter is freaking hilarious and sexually charged. The evolution of their relationship is turbulent but cathartic. Allowing themselves to trust and feel, true emotions is a painful process and deeply felt. So much volatile emotion has you giggling one moment and full on sobbing the next. The appearance of our charismatic, lovable characters from previous books filled my heart with joy. The found family energy is everything my little black heart needs. 💚Race Me Wilder is a must read. The slow burn goodness is worth every anxiety filled moment. While Race Me Wilder is a standalone in the interconnected series, you don’t have to read the other books, but I highly recommend that you do. It totally enhances the reading experience. 😊 PS what PS what book 1 Mine For 24 Hella hours did for fruit we now get a taste of with gummy bears and fruit roll ups iykyk did for fruit we now get a taste of with gummy bears and fruit roll ups
When Blakely is needing a get away after a real crappy break-up with someone who wanted her to be in the background to protect his career, her dad sends her to a yearly bike/car meet where she sets up a tattooing booth. She is the type of person who will put everyone around her first, she wants to see people happy but in the process of doing that she just isn’t happy but she is hoping to find that soon. Upon arrival she is to get a room and go meet her dads best friend, the man who runs the whole event. What she doesn’t expect is to run into [repeatedly] is a cocky, mystery rider who is always in his helmet or in a hat pulled down low. But as the banter, angst and just smexy tension builds so do her feelings, and the thought of leaving at the end of the summer has her stomach in knots.
Meadow has always known he was adopted, but that has never made him feel any less loved. He says he was “born in the wrong place at the right time”, Meadow has been on a bike since he was 3 years old. He has a secret though only his family and close friends know, he has been even more so incognito over the last year since losing his best friend, and his girlfriend who chose to leave him at his lowest point. Coming home is harder this year, but he is looking forward to seeing his family. Taken by surprise when a green haired beauty keeps running into him, he can’t get her out of his system and this spark of protectiveness keeps rearing its head.
Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
As always Kay has crushed yet another book in this series. Watching these two let themselves be THEM, while letting someone else help heal them when they need it most. Both grow so much in just a summer with the help of each other. This series just keeps getting better and better and it was nice to see some old names from the previous books. I love all the characters in this series.
This is probably my favourite in the series. I absolutely loved Blakely & Meadow. They were so fun to follow, the chemistry & banter between them was perfection.
Blakely is filling in for her dad as a tattoo artist at a bike meet, and for her this is her opportunity to find herself again. I loved her journey & her passion for what she loves. She has overcome so much and that fact she still loves as hard as she does just made me so happy. Meadow is back helping his parents at their bar for the summer during the bike meet when he keeps running into a little green hurricane. He can’t seem to stay away from Blakely her green hair, attitude & spunky little personality. He finds comfort in her and a connection he can’t deny.
I absolutely loved the found family these two both found in not only each other but in the bike community. They were constantly pestering one another, it was actually hilarious. His bad boy persona & her I’m independent attitude was fun to watch. As the spend more time together they build this really beautiful relationship with trust, love & loss. They find “HOME” in each other and my heart was happy. The chemistry & spice between these two was so hot, his mouth was delicious. Like damn he know how to get her worked up. Our girl tried to be in control but she always let him end up taking the reins. They were so hot together I was so giddy. They were meant for one another, they just didn’t know it yet & I loved how this was played out in the end.
I honestly loved everything so much about this story, I was so happy to see some of the other characters from Kay’s other books.
Thank you Kay for having me as part of the team. I can’t wait for the other books to come. You kill it each time.

I thought this book was going to be a super cute and fun easy read and it had me thinking about my past in a way I wasn't expecting. The book follows our MMC, Meadow, after the loss of his best friend/brother and another friend and how he's dealing with his grief coming back to the place he used to be the happiest with them. Our FMC, Blakely, is taking the visiting tattoo artist taking over for her father since he is suffering with fibromyalgia. They meet after literally running into each other and the banter immediately starts. Outwardly very light and fun but since you can hear their thoughts and what's on their mind you see they are both trying to find happiness. “Are you happy?” “Yeah, that’s a tough one.” I feel like unless you felt a profound loss you won't understand the answer and if you have then you'll know the feeling. For me, after my mom died, I knew I was showing that I was "happy" outwardly but internally, I was a mess. Reading this I resonated with Meadow so much because every day is hard and trying to fing the balance and not get lost in memories is so hard especially when you go to all the places that have so many happy memories. One a much lighter note, the book does have a HEA and is such a good and funny read. My favorite line? “Now that you know my name don’t accidentally moan it when you masturbate.” I cackled. This couple was so good and such a great depiction of realness. You can easily see yourself in them and even at the parts that hurt I wanted to see them get their HEA.
Although this is a biker romance, it's not an MC club romance; instead, it focuses on a community of people who just love the thrill of bikes, from racing to stunts. The sense of community and the importance of friends and found family really shine through in this story.
Blakely and Meadow have an instantaneous spark, but they don't give in to it. They both have past hurts to deal with, so initially they bicker and banter, but it's fun and playful. I enjoyed watching the two of them let their walls down and let each other in. What started as a promise of one night soon became a promise of much more, and their spicy times were hot. For all his perceived sweetness, Meadow sure had a filthy mouth and, apparently, a great pair of hands.
The way the author wrote this book was wonderful; it was so easy to fall into the book and imagine that I was at the event with all the characters. The author did such a good job of building the world up, and even the rides out on the bike were easy to imagine. The sideline characters were equally important to the story and helped to link Meadow and Blakely even more; even the pets played a big part. There were a couple of moments where others tried to interfere, but I loved the way they worked through everything and stepped up for their relationship even before either of them was able to admit how they felt.
It was a great read, and I'd love to read more of this author's writing.
After seeing all of Kay’s aesthetic reels/edits for this book, I couldn’t wait to read Race Me Wilder. I mean who doesn’t love a mysterious, tattooed masked sports bike rider. Holy hotness! I really enjoyed the whole vibe of this book, it was so carefree, but also so much more. Blakely and Meadow were so great together and discovering their special connection was so satisfying.
Blakely was unapologetically a firecracker, and I was here for it. Not only was she a tattoo artist, but also a sports bike rider, so she stood out being in those roles that are usually male dominated. I loved how she dominated and all the confidence oozing out of her. She was definitely a great match for Meadow.
Meadow Reyes! Uuuufff, this man and his swagger and his cockiness. I couldn’t get enough of him. Every time he was on page, I had high anticipation for what would come out of his mouth, and every time I was giddy with it.
The banter between Meadow and Blakely was top tier, and their chemistry was scorching. There were some serious moments as both Blakely and Meadow both have suffered from a loss, and I loved seeing them open up to each other, so they could move on and be the best version of themselves. Kay outdid herself with the spice. It was absolutely yummy, dirty, and just everything. I’ll never look at gummy bears and fruit rollups the same way again, IYKYK
🏹Tattoo artist x Pro motorcycle racer 🏹F/M biker romance 🏹Strangers to Lovers 🏹Motorcycle racing / stunts (and car racing) 🏹Found Family 🏹Spice, banter, tension, piercings, and more… 🏹Dual POV - 1st person
Race Me Wilder is the fourth book in the Ink Our Hearts Series.
Blakely (MFC) is a spitfire feisty tattoo artist. She is talented, sassy, and extremely smart. She does have a past that haunts and all she wants is a fresh start. Meadow (MMC) is sexy, confident, driven, obsessive, possessive…he is DESIRABLE. He has a filthy mouth, and he too has a traumatic past that he is dealing with also. He is trying to reconnect with his family and friends and reflect about his life. He is taking care of his mental health. Blakely and Meadow have delicious banter every time they cross paths, and reading the evolution of their relationship from the start which is a rough sea until they are moving together like a smooth dance step. They had to learn to trust one another through painful processes in both of their lives. You do get to see some of the characters from the past books. Even though this is a standalone book they are interconnected. I am loving this series.
This may be my favorite one to date by this author. I adore both the FMC and MMC. They both make so much progress through the book. I did not want this to end. I am still thinking about it. The MMCs family is a dream. They made my heart want to explode. The motorcycle family in itself was so heartwarming.
This has some great smut in it but the storyline really stole the show. Of course you have your douchebags make some appearances but what do you expect? The friendships in this story are really life goals. I mean come on though.. motorcycles and tattoos. I’ve never ridden one but the idea sounds exciting. TOPES~ Tattoo artist x Pro motorcycle racer F/M biker romance Strangers to Lovers Motorcycle racing / stunts (and car racing) Found Family Spice, banter, tension, piercings, and more… Dual POV - 1st person
꧁𝓠𝓾𝓸𝓽𝓮𝓼꧂ Maybe she has her reasons, and she’s super sharp, and kind of a badass—which is pretty annoying. ~Meadow
“That’s a bit cold but honest.” He replies. “Then, you get my point.” I dip the needle in the black ink cup. “We crave to be desired and wanted and if that’s not in our cards, we need to shuffle again.” ~Blakely
This was a captivating and entertaining story between two strangers that become so much more. I love the close knit community that is portrayed in Desert Peak! It was amazing to read about the friendships, welcoming community, and protectiveness of each other.
Meadow grew up in Desert Peak and has gone back every chance he gets. He loves being able to escape from his demanding career and go back home where he can just be himself. He is loyal, possessive, protective, attentive, and overall caring about those he cares about. He likes to tease and push Blakely’s buttons to get a ride out of her.
Blakely is in Desert Peak to escape from reality and just learn to be free. She is trying to find herself after being in a farce of a relationship for three years. She is sassy, stubborn, and talented and loves to give Meadow a hard time.
I love the banter between these two and the intense attraction they have for each other is 🥵I love how they build their friendship first and then slowly they start to give in to their desires. It was fun watching them fall when they weren’t planning on it.
I ADORED this book. It was everything, from spicy, so sweet, to even having deep emotions. The characters felt fleshed out, the story was lovely. A tale of two strangers falling in love. Race Me Wilder starts with Blakely being asked by her father to replace him for a biker meet up. Blakely finally agrees, saving her father. She bumps into Meadow, all the time, and literally. He is everywhere. But Blakely doesn’t mind it, but he does get on her nerves. Meadow likes teasing and playing with Blakely. The two have a tattoo session and Blakely finds herself wondering who Meadow is underneath the mask of his helmet. Meadow keeps an eye on Blakely throughout the entire meet-up, maybe even too close of an eye as they have some spicy encounters. The pain Meadow goes through is one many of bikers have had to carry. I loved how raw it felt, and how he wasn’t afraid to show emotion. Meadow and Blakely are ugh, love them. This book was absolutely up my alley, the spice, spicing, phew! Bikers and a found family, check! Protective and hot MMC, that’s here too! A feisty and female tattoo artist, oh we have that too! Absolutely going to read the other books in the series!
Book #4 in our Ink Our Hearts series definitely met my expectations. I can always count on Kay for major spice, swoon worthy MMCs and an emotional storyline. Blakely & Meadow had so much in common they were inevitable. I loved their banter back and forth they really complimented each other personality wise. I enjoyed the storyline with all the bikes and tattoos it's a really fun group of characters. I love how they all play in to each others stories but I do not feel you need to read any of the other books before the other. I don't need to say much more about the spice except that it was pretty hot and I enjoyed the build up. One thing that stood out for me that I was really kind of hoping for more of was Blakely and her social media bike accounts. I was kind of hoping it would get tied into something else in the story to go alone with Meadow's mysteriousness. I loved all the little carrots throughout the story that all came to a head at the end it really added something special to the relationship. All in all keep em coming!! Love being a part of your team!
I love this world and these stories. Blakely and Meadows story is so sweet and lovable and just everything. Blakely is smart mouth, bratty, tattoo artist/biker. She loves her dad and would do anything for him including taking his place at a biker meet up in the desert. She meets Meadow the mysterious biker who gets under her skin and eventually into her heart.
I absolutely loved their banter and how open and vulnerable they were with each other. They have both been hurt by ex’s and are slow to trust. I absolutely LOVED that we got to see all of the other characters from the series and the incredible found family that has developed. This story is sweet, vulnerable, emotional and so beautiful to watch. I absolutely loved everything about this story.
I don’t want to give away too much but the way these characters bond, grow together and fall inlove is beautiful. I cannot wait for more in this world.
Book 4 of the Ink Our Hearts Series. I loved the pro biker vs tattoo artist with a joint secret pasts in this one!! It’s a slow burn for smaller book but by the time you get to around 40% the action starts and only picks up from then! I absolutely loved the chemistry between meadow and Blakely, and throw in some hand necklaces, and a little bratty behaviour and it’s easy to be engrossed in the book!
What can I say about Blakely and Meadow? About Race Me Wilder in general? Their relationship surprised the hell out of them, and I loved that so much! Gummy bears? Can no longer look at them the same way ever again. And I don't know how the hell I'm going to get through my next tattoo without thinking about THAT scene!
The fact that they had a semi-shared past and that they were almost fated to be together was so sweet and lovely. I just couldn't get enough! I zoomed through this book in a day and about an hour because I fell asleep with my Kindle in my hands. Woke up and with coffee in hand, zipped through those final pages.
Their banter was off the charts and I loooooove me some banter! It's what I crave! When the spice hit? I was a goner! What they said to each other? Top tier spicy spice and that slowburn made it all that much more delicious.
Race Me Wilder is another fabulous read in the Ink Our Hearts series. I fell in love with this series from the beginning, and wait for each book with increasing anticipation each time. Race Me Wilder did not disappoint.
It is a wonderful, and intelligently written story in which the MMC is emotionally complex, amusing & endearing all while being a tough, sexy, alpha biker. He is at times standoffish and vulnerable, but never unlikable or un-relatable. Similarly, the MFC is multi faceted and tough, riding in her own right, and yet craves the dominance and push-pull inherent in her interactions with the MMC. Their banter was flawless, sexual tension palpable and finally their chemistry became undeniable. Meadow & Blakely's intimacy was nothing less than hot! Meadow's hands will live in my memory for a long time.
The plot is well developed and detailed. I felt as though I was in a world I have never been before and I was truly sad to finish this book. Race Me Wilder is a great read!
I love this series and i found my favorite, this book is insane, 10 out of 5 stars. Incredible! This book made me smile from ear to ear when it ended, i was giggling, blushing, .... Incredible! I could feel the tension, that attraction, that pull between these two was to die for! OMG! Two people who lost people , who feel broken, found eachother and created this incredible life together to honor their loved ones by living and loving life to the fullest.
The spice, every scene was very intense, some more then others but ugh this guy knows how to make a woman feel on top of the world. The nicknames, the banter, the cute little jabs, the family and friends, everything was so perfect. And the end made me sob in a very good way. I can't wait for the next book but this one will alway hold a very special place in my heart!
This one was my favorite of the series! I absolutely loved every minute of it!
Blakely was the definition of a brat, and brats are my favorite 😍 her spunk and snarkiness won me over the minute she was introduced.
Meadow, oh Meadow the mystery man and his words. 🫠 I'm pretty sure I melted into a complete puddle whenever he spoke! He looses his walls the moment Blakely enters his world, and it is absolutely amazing watching his character unfold and grow!
These two both have pasts that have caused them to have these walls up around themselves, and it takes a lot for those to come down. But they find exactly what they were (or weren't) looking for within each other.
There are twists and turns throughout the story that'll keep you wanting more.
Ohhhh and that epilogue was the sweetest thing I've ever read! 🥹
I was instantly hooked! I devoured this book, I read it in 1 sitting. So freaking good!!!!
Meadow and Blakley! They are a power couple. Blakley finally has a man that appreciates her talent and humor. Meadow finally gets a woman who will respect his privacy and keep his secrets.
This book has it all: Sexy banter, mutual respect, instant attraction (even though they fought it), found family, old friends and new friends, motorcycles, tattoos, piercings and family values.
These two are HOT together. The witty banter and back and forth between them makes for electric foreplay. I now have a new appreciation for gummy bears and fruit rolls up. 🥵🔥🥵🔥
Honorable mention: mad respect for the dedication page!
