This is technically a sequel to "My Vagina Smells Like Sulfur" but the books can be read as stand-alones. I highly recommend reading the first one first!

I absolutely LOVED this story better! Dark web, violent, vile, incest, bloody, disgusting and almost every other word you can think of!

I was sent an ARC of Zoo of People by Sea Caummisar, and I first have to say thank you so much for a crack at this read.
I absolutely loved this book, the story is fantastic and it's pretty bloody gruesome as one should expects from a sea caummisar book, on the scale of things this book was a messed up but fun little read. There was some characters that made an appearance from some of her other books, my personal favourites character features in this book and that is the wonderfully dense madame midnight, who I just adore. Totally a 5/5 for this one. I loved it.

New book by Sea Caummisar!!! This sick and twisted tale could be considered a continuation of My Vajj smells like Sulfur, or as a stand-alone, since it included a few characters from other stories. As someone who read the first part though, I want to mention that I enjoyed this book much more, and found it very creative!
Let’s also give a round of applause for a slight LGBTQ+ community involvement by the end of the book.

My only complaint would be that the book felt slightly rushed, and I wish there was more!!!!

Sea Caummisar’s Zoo of People was another amazing addition to the author’s repertoire that you “love” & “enjoy” but also don’t at the same time. Her journey into a literal zoo of people offers us a glimpse into a detached world that seems not too dissimilar from our own and not too distant in the future. Which opens up a whole new kind or terror for us to think about. 🫠

Quick Synopsis: Not much to summarize here, it’s a legit zoo of people. It’s a look into the facility from the eyes of its creator along with great detail on how subjects are psychologically broken down and devolved into beastial versions of their former selves. Faces are surgically stripped and put back together, senses are deprived and deadened and humans are turned into animals. Just when you think they wouldn’t go there…they do. It was as fascinating as it was disturbing. As usual, Caumissar’s talented, vivid prose takes your mind there whether it wants to be there or not.

Unbeknownst to be, this book is tied into the My Vagina Smells like Sulfur universe. Including memorable characters that readers will remember “lovingly.” There are ties to the deep web series and themes of “exhibition” throughout. It’s an experience you have to witness on your own, but be warned, it will take you down some of the darker avenues of the human mind. Would I choose to be a willing patron to this Zoo of People? I think if you can get to the end of this book unfazed, we kind of have our answer. Recommend this to all who can stomach it, and there’s a LOT to stomach.

In this story we follow the previous happenings of “My Vagina Smells like Sulfur”, the boss has new plans and a new way he wants to make money on his shows. Of course Midnites show was going a different and better direction and making money, but the boss knew Midnites face for his new “Zoo of People”, would be a successful move.

I loved this one a lot more than how i liked the original book, it built off the characters we met from the first book beautifully. This story also works great as a stand alone, great read :)!

Sea Caummisar always, ALWAYS manages to surprise me with her stories. Why? Because...
1. My mind is pretty messed up and I can think of same nasty stuff but she goes hard, above and beyond. This is what I love to read. EXTREME is my fave.
2. I always love her characters.
3. She makes me cringe hard (FYI - I want to feel that way when I am reading about unspeakable things humans do to each other).
4. Most of her stuff I've read so far are about kinks.. way, way out there kinks. If that is also your thing, read her book Emetophilia and/or Acrotomophilia).

Ok, so obviously I loved this one and the sheer idea of it. Some already known characters show up again, including my new favorite Midnite (from my Vagina smells like sulfur).. I have the feeling we get either a sequel to this one with Midnite. It deserves one for sure!

Imagine a zoo. A zoo but instead with animals its showcasing humans. Humans that were, in preparation for this zoo, deprived of their voices, their identities, and are reduced to primal beings. There are nothing but animals now. For that special customer that can afford it and who's kinks let them there. The boss is making sure his customers are getting what they are paying for but that isn't all he wants, he wants to enter the regular TV market, he wants to became famous. He may be web famous but he strives for more. So he partners up with Miranda, who shares his "exclusive" tastes.

The only thing I disliked about this story was that I would've loved a longer and more detailed intro on what was done to all of the humans, as they were "changed" for the zoo. I need more of this zoo, that is for sure!

"The Zoo" by Sea Caummisar

Set in a dystopian future, Dr. Roberts, the enigmatic mastermind behind the zoo, the narrative raises questions about identity, power, and the choices individuals make in the face of oppression.

The inclusion of violence adds depth and realism, shedding light on the destructive nature of oppression and the lengths individuals may go to reclaim their freedom.

The transformation individuals experience before being put on display at the zoo is nothing short of horrific and makes me cringe. The Zoo is live streamed on the dark web for any and everyone to see. The idea is inhumane and cruel but I would not be surprised if the elite had something similar going on.

Ok. Everything I could say about this is precariously balanced on the spoiler fence. So, instead:

1. The ONLY thing better than a new instalment in the Bossverse? Major crossover event! (with promises of more to come!!!)

2. For the love of all things indie horror, Sea needs to go wide and hop on over to The Good Place, because more eyes need to be on her work (and the reignforest is quickly becoming more and more anti indie extreme)

If you’re a fan of sardonic transgressive fiction, Sea Caummisar is a must read author!

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone else, even a sicko. Dumb boring storyline. Horribly written. Hoping it would get better but did not.

Intense from page 1

We almost NEVER hear women authors writing about alternative lifestyles (that means “not vanilla.” If you know, you know). and having her female characters take and enjoy power in such a fashion as what we see most women (and very few men) subjected to in extreme horror. Don’t get me wrong, there’s women who don’t get exactly happy endings (yes that’s a pun), but they are far from the main focus and I LOVE it. I LOVE not seeing only women subjected to such gratuitous violence. Especially Love having female extreme splatter authors. However, Sea’s books can certainly be read and adored by all genders, and cis men in particular who like a bit of pain should be fully entertained by putting themselves in Trick’s world.

Also, does this author have some kind of thesaurus made up to describe genitalia (particularly male)??!! I laughed at all the different ways. I think it was nice not to have to read the same descriptions over and over again.

Something I’d love to see from this author is female Boss. I kind of feel that she plays it a tiny bit safe both with her stories, and with herself as an author, by making the person responsible for all the brilliant, ingenious atrocities a male Boss. This would be phenomenal taken from Miranda as a Boss. She’s part of another story, and brings in a total of 5 characters from the same universe but different characters and exhibits. A splatter Marvel universe..a splatterverse, if you will.

Sea’s author note once again sees her be almost apologetic (and that kind of breaks my heart a little) for the story we just immersed ourselves in, although not as much as what I’ve read previously). There’s a lot of second guessing herself and her writing, because people who don’t like extreme horror attack her and say such awful things to her. I’m here to tell her to STOP all that. (Not here to sugarcoat!) The author’s work and her as a person in real life are repeatedly attacked for the extreme content and I hope she starts taking that as proof of a well written horror book, even though she says at least twice that she does NOT CONDONE IRL VIOLENCE.

Sea is one of the most imaginative extreme horror authors, a genre that gets old fast due to the fact that once you’ve really dug into it, you start realizing there is never going to be anything more imaginative or extreme as what you’ve already read. It becomes boring in other words. Sea’s writing has brought me so much more entertainment, and reignited my love for the genre, squeezing every last drop of terror from her victims, all for our viewing pleasure. Anyone NOT into very extreme horror, or not sure what that means, are going to be incredibly offended by the story, and probably try to attack the author’s words, her mental state, probably any spouses and children, etc. People need to experience fear in a safe setting. It has all kinds of life affirmation, moral lessons (virgin lives, promiscuity dies in the only true body count that matters), gets our adrenaline pumping and lets us feel a shred a of fear but also gratitude for what we have. In other words, scary stories are just plain good for you.

well that was .. something 😳😅 A literal zoo of people for the sick minded people that like to roam the dark web (and of course sick people like me who would read about it 🤣) I wasn't sure what to expect but I was interested in what the mind of The Boss was like. I wouldn't say it's the most disgusting thing I've read but it definitely done its job in making me feel uncomfortable. This is the first I've read from Caummisar, so I didn't realise all the characters in this story have there own books too. It would maybe be interesting to see what they've been up to in the other ones but with titles like My Vagina Smells Like Sulfur, I might not pick them up right away 😅 The characters were interesting in their own way, I can't say I had a favourite one but I absolutely hated Trick. It was a fun ending and overall an easy, at times gross, quick read.

⚠️ Trigger Warning 💥 TW: Gore, Abuse 🔪 TW: Violence 🕷️ TW: Disturbing Content
Do you like the Zoo?? If you said YES, then you will like this novel ALMOST as much as you enjoy the Circus. 😊
The Boss was looking for a new interesting idea for his dark web series and came up with the Zoo. People are animals deep down, and he found a way to break human beings and strip them down to their bare animalistic form.
We watch as Madam Midnight, a sexy but not so smart employee of the Boss tours the zoo for promo material. What she witnesses has her bouncing for joy.
🩸 Nymphomaniacs
🩸 Watching a beast of a woman during feeding time
🩸 An adult size hamster wheel
⚠️ Lots of bodily fluids
This was a fun read, short but packed with new things on every chapter. Not to mention the Gross factor in this one is GOOD.

Don't you just love going to the zoo and seeing all of the animals. Well, if you do then you might enjoy Sea's new novel about a zoo full of absolute horror and disgust! This is not any ordinary zoo either, this zoo is full of people who are held in captivity and each of them are put into their own "habitat" and made to do unthinkable things. Also if you are a fan of Sea and have read some of her other work then I think you will enjoy the use of characters from her previous work. I know I was very excited to see a few of my favorites had returned. Thank you to Sea for providing me a copy to review!

unfortunately after how hard i hard to look to find any of her books. she is NOT a good writer :/

its juvenile, poorly written and boring.

i love splatterpunk and gross out horror and this was just. cringe? edgy for the sake of it?

youd think a female author would have deeper knowledge and therefore portrayal of sexism/misogyny but its just some "women are stupid" "women=whore" jokes which aren't insightful or funny

i guess ive come to expect a lot more of the genre other than just "look how yucky i can be" and this definitely doesnt provide. (read carlton mellick III or aron beauregard for that)

Zoo of People by Sea Caummisar

This is the third installment in the "My Vagina Smells like Sulfur" series.

I really wanted to love this book, but for some reason, this one just didn't do it for me.

I don't know exactly what I was expecting, but it wasn't this.

Typically, I really enjoy Sea Caummisar's work, and I'm sure I will again.

The characters were one dimensional, and the whole thing felt rushed. I could have done with twice the length to give readers more story and to allow for greater character development.

I love midnite a lot ! From “my vagina smells like sulfur “
Why do I love reading these messed up books. The author is just too good and sick and twisted. Should I feel bad for not being able to stop reading. Possibly
But oh well
This story is very creative and very disturbing I love it.
I also loved the gay scene in this book!! Hoping for a part 2

Another great read by Sea Caummisar! I really enjoy reading her work and seeing what kind of crazy things that she can come up with. I love that she added characters from a couple of her other stories. I haven’t had a chance to read My Vagina Smells Like Sulfer yet, but I’m definitely bumping it up on my list!

I loved this book. It was interesting and entertaining and oh so dark. I want to read more about the zoo.

I enjoyed seeing more of Madam Midnite. She is a surprisingly loveable character.

Seeing Blake turn up was a surprise too.

Out of the 3 books by Sea I've read, this was by far my favourite. The writing style seemed smoother with this one too which allowed me to enjoy it more I think.

i read the first one which was okay i guess, but this one felt very incomplete and didnt make sense at all. which i guess i shouldnt have expected much. Midnite is my most liked char, idk i guess cuz she is claimed as innocent and dumb, or the boss. overall i could have skipped this and only finished it because its on my challenge list for Z.

This story is wild! Some really nasty and I mean NASTY! 100% original and a ton of fun! If you haven’t read any of Caummisar’s filth, you are really missing out. Be careful out there, the internet is a dangerous place.

A book that requires very little thought to read - an exploration of human depravity and sick entertainment. Reminiscent of the Saw movies. I’d love to hear more of the zoo’s exhibits.
