But, the treaty between her kind and his is Loe must board his spaceship so he can take her to Commander Siriniel of the Swirling Horn Clan. The law is the law. Even if it means Nitiel must keep his hands off the most captivating female he has ever encountered.

Marian is an avid fan of fantasy, science fiction, and horror books.

She started writing (in secret) novels in those genres when she was nine, and began adding a pinch of romance to her creations when the need for a Prince Charming hit her eventually.

Nowadays, her literary muse bugs her in the wee hours with steamy romance ideas combined with a hearty dose of humor. Armed with a glass of her favorite crème de menthe, Marian enjoys writing (no longer in secret) about sassy heroines and cinnamon roll heroes who discover new worlds – and love – together.

I really wanted to love this book, but it just didn’t hit right for me. Chloe and Nitiel had some chemistry and were funny in their own way. I didn’t love the excessive trope use, as it took away from a genuine connection.
I did like that Chloe had a mind of her own and goals she didn’t want to give up on for the promise of a fated mate. Nitiel was stoic AF and came out of his shell a bit with Chloe’s help.
I still plan on trying other books by this author, as I think they have talent - I just didn’t connect to this particular one as much.

Spice: 3.5/5

Triggers: semi cheating (involuntarily engaged to someone else), mention of parental death and abandonment, animal attack (no harm to animals), wounds, space battle, short hospital stay

I immediately knew I wanted to read this when I saw the cover. It's absolutely gorgeous. And when the author gave me the opportunity to read it early I jumped at the chance! One thing that had me giggling throughout the whole book was the chapter names. They’re hilarious and goofy and felt perfect for the humor of the book!

Nitiel is so swoony and such a gentleman. He reminded me of some lord in a historical romance. And I can't say I'm not interested in that fancy peen situation he has going on. 😏 The number of tropes packed in sort of made the romance between Nitiel and Chloe feel forced and rushed. So to me it didn't feel as genuine but it was still a nice read. Once you get to the ending you realize why there were to many tropes and situations that happened to them but it did feel like a lot by the time I was finished. I would have enjoyed some chill moments between the two of them where they could develop their relationship a bit more instead of back to back "we're in a possibly deadly situation".

I was very invested in knowing what was going on with the AI matching system and why it seemed like Chloe's fated mate wanted nothing to do with her. I had some suspicions about halfway through. But there was just enough mystery to keep me unsure and wanting to get to the end so I could know!

I'm glad Chloe still got to pursue her dream and didn't give it up after she was matched. 🩷

Overall, this was a good sci fi romance and I will definitely have to go and check out the other books by the author!

Silly, cute and out of this world. Nitel and Chloe's love story is a good one! I thought this was a fun quick paced read with drama, plot twists and of course pining and heat. Nitel is tasked to deliver Chloe to her mate match but will he be able to control this feisty human? Chloe is determined she's no ones match and needs to get back to Earth ASAP. There's fluffy drain creatures, alien horses with wings, technicolor worlds and so much more. I really enjoyed this read and the ending had me grinning from ear to ear!

This was so cute! Well paced, relatively low conflict and just a feel good vibe. If you like a real cinnamon roll MMC, a sassy FMC and tropes such as: forced proximity, fated mates, only one bed, forbidden love, piercings, non human love interest…this one is for you. Delightfully playful and self aware!

✨ARC Review! I received an early copy of this book and this is my honest review.✨

“This Terran is mine, Commander. Mine to love with both my hearts. Mine to cherish every single planetary cycle. Mine to call niela until the last molecule of oxygen leaves my lungs. No matter what the ASI says.”

Right on Time by was SO MUCH FUN! This book was silly, fluffy, full of hijinks, but also angsty and spicy! It’s a perfect palette cleanser. I give this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Poor Chloe and Nitiel… they’re the personification of Murphy’s Law when together. It’s a roller coaster of chaos watching these two interact and fall in love. They were not supposed to end up together, but fate works in “mysterious ways.” 😂

Their banter was hilarious and I loved how Nitiel was constantly flustered. This poor alien is just trying to do his job. Their bickering gets them into some angsty predicaments which leads to spice. This alien may be a virgin but omggggg does he have a dirty mouth! 🥵

I really loved the regency type setting on the main station! It’s so cool to see lavish balls, gowns, and even how these aliens embrace the old world ways of society while surrounded by super advanced technology.

I absolutely adore Marian’s writing and I think this book just shows how much range she has! This is her third book and it’s so fluffy and fun compared to her last book which was a little darker. I can’t wait to see what she does next!

Marian is quickly becoming my new favourite author. Here's why:
This book effortlessly combines humour and clever references, especially the witty nods to Game of Thrones that caught me off guard. Marian's FC, Chloe, embodies rawness and authenticity, her confidence shining through alongside her unfiltered charm. Trixie, another character, is an absolute wildcard 🤣- bless her heart, and she adds an unpredictable layer that kept me thoroughly engaged.

I have a soft spot for stories with dual points of view, and this book didn't disappoint. While I appreciate Chloe's perspective, it's Nitiel's point of view that truly captivated me. Getting a glimpse into his thoughts felt like unwrapping a present on Christmas morning; I live to read the inner battle and resolve Nitiel was trying to control. Bless him, he did best to control his desire for Lady Loe.🤭

Marian has masterfully crafted Chloe as a multifaceted character – bold yet kind, soft yet fiercely determined, and she'll bite when needed. Nitiel, on the other hand, exudes traits of protectiveness and loyalty without tipping into oppressive territory. The chemistry between them leaps off the pages, even amidst danger and uncertainty. The teasing, the banter, the hoooot scenes. My Lord, I'm here for it. 😉

I had a suspicion that the Commander was somehow involved in these matchmaking shenanigans, but I didn't realize the extent of this elaborate web of schemes. The underlying reason behind these antics gives off a Hallmark vibe🫠

So yeah, this book will be one of my go-to for a heartwarming and hilarious alien romance. It seamlessly weaves together heartfelt moments, adventure, laugh-out-loud humour, and unexpected plot twists, making it one of my most enjoyable reads.

Being late sucks, being ripped from the life you've known and the dreams you've been chasing for years sucks even more...

But when the handsome Subcommander Nitiel insists, that Chloe has been matched by a computer program and needs to be taken to her fated mate, there's not much she can do about her situation.

Nitiel is a male of honor. Doing his best to keep his hands off the infuriating Terran, he feels drawn to, despite her being a pain in his a$$. But when incidents pile up, throwing Chloe and Nitiel closer and closer together, how long will they be able to resist?

This book has literally everything: humour, tension, swoon, action, adorable alien animals, a virgin MMC who turns out to be hot as heck, a sassy FMC with a strong will and a caring heart, a bunch of hilarious side characters and a plot twist you might not expect.
I was captured by Chloe's and Nitiel's story from page one and if you like hot af purple, winged aliens and sassy, determined humans, you should abso-freaking-lutely put "Right on Time" on your TBR!!

”I called for a spare uniform, but it is yet to arrive, just like your dress. It should not be taking so long.” It sounded like the universe was on Chloe’s perv-y side.

Rating: 4/5
Spice: 1/5

This was such a fun, great read!

Chloe has no time for silly things like being matched with an alien by an AI system. She has to meet with a potential investor for her small business to take off but the universe definitely has other plans when 3 Gaenthians ring her doorbell. Her fated mate, an important commander, has been found and the aliens are there to escort her to him. Her protests fall on deaf ears and she is whisked away. She, however, won’t complain about the hunk that is her guard, subcommander Nitiel.

The banter between Chloe and Nitiel made me cackle so many times! The humour was great and our poor MMC tried so hard to remain a gentleman. And why did mishaps keep happening to them? Were they really that unlucky or something else was at play?

I loved the fact that his species’ culture was like the alien version of the regency era— the original, even 🌝 Hide your ankles and belly buttons!

Peek this adorable and funny passage:

Thank you, Nitiel. You’re a sweetheart.”
That caught him by surprise. Him? Sweet? No. He had known no sweetness in his life. Until her. “I cannot be a sweetheart, Loe.”
“Yes, you can–”
“Because I have two hearts.”
Loe gaped. Then laughed. “Okay, I stay corrected: you’re a sweethearts.”

I received an ARC from the author, thank you!

**

I absolutely adored the story of Chloe and Nitiel. The twist on the mail order bride / marriage of convenience trope is so well done and I found myself giggling over the antics of these two lovers as they both tried to fight their attraction to one another. And I’m so happy Chloe was determined to prove the AI wrong on all counts. And the mishaps that kept happening to them were fantastic done and kept me well entertained. I kept waiting for the next thing to happen because I wanted more.

I also didn’t see the final twist coming but actually looking back, I love that the hints were there. Mmm, love me a wonderful little surprise like that! And the HEA was perfect ❤️

What a wonderful story indeed.

I loooooooove a good slow burn and this book hits the spot. I devoured it because I kept screaming “when will it happen!?” in my head. And when the spice rolled in - completely WORTH IT. Is there a micro-trope for MMCs that have to restrain themselves due to the honor code but their internal struggle is slowly succumbing to their desire and need for the FMC? YES? Because this is it.

Also, Loe’s teasing of Nitiel, calling him Lord because etiquette demands he call her Lady, is PERFECT. The way she gently pokes at his protocol and makes small innuendos, I’m a sucker for cute banter!!

And shoutout to Trixie for doing the necessary work. Putting all of those sci-fi romance novels to good use. (IYKYK)

When that fated mates program comes to Earth, sign me up!

This was such a cute, quick, light and fluffy read! If you're looking for a good in-between read or a palette cleanser, look no further! It has a little bit of everything from steamy spice to a cute romance. The worldbuilding and whole underlying plot was also really well done in this book. The big reveal towards the end was hinted at through the book, but I loved how it came about. Overall, this was just such a cute alien romance and it makes me really want to read more books by this author!

What you'll find in this book:
-Fated Mates with HEA
-Gentlemanly MMC
-Main Characters who have instant attraction but MMC tries to resist. (forbidden romance trope)
-One Bed Trope
-Humor sprinkled in with some fun banter.
-A hint of some historical romance vibes.
-Quick paced Standalone.

I want to thank the author for the opportunity to read this ARC! I really enjoyed Right On Time! My thoughts and opinions are my own in this review.

Let me start by saying, Marian is one of my automatic buy authors! Her story's give me all of the romance and spicy that's been lacking in my favorite sci-fi series!
Now, on to Nitiel and Loe. I'm so very in love with these characters. Watching them attempt (and fail in the most steamy ways) to keep their hands off each other was both hilarious and sexy!
This story not only has forbidden love, a super hot protective MMC, but a feisty, knows what she wants FMC.It also has some fun antics and great friendships! I highly recommend this book!
P.S. I'm madly in love with Nitiel! <3

Who doesn’t love a dashing, winged, alien, cinnamon roll as an MMC!?

Our FMC Chloe is selected by an alien artificial intelligence as the fated mate of an alien commander. When Nietel comes to collect her and bring her to her future mate everything that could happen to push THEM together does. It’s an alien romcom and we’re along for the ride! I loved how fun this one was so many good romance tropes are represented along the way.

I thought the premise of this book was super cute, and the cover sold me (I love great book covers!)

Chloe and Nitiel were sweet. I like how hard Nitiel tried to stick to his duty and push Chloe away. It was cute watching him struggle. I loved Chloe not letting some AI decide for her and how much she was willing to fight for her right to choose her future. She worked hard for her business dream, and I like that she never gave up on it just because she supposedly had a mate.

I wasn't sure where the plot was going with the AI Mates and the Commander, but I started suspecting, lol. It was a little surprise, but the MCs nearly died in all the stuff happening, and I would have been way more upset had I been in their shoes.

IDK how I felt about the expected modesty that the aliens had for the Earth women. I feel like everyone should have a choice, but I wouldn't say I liked that they acted like her walking around in a dress that went to her knees was scandalous.

Trixie was a side character, but I found her to be hard to love; she felt very childish, always yelling about her sexual escapades and calling her mate cutesy nicknames. She got into a friendship with Chloe like they'd known each other for decades, and maybe that threw me a bit. She wasn't mean or anything and genuinely was there to be Chloe's friend. I just didn't love her. I liked Trixies mate, who seemed normal and who was trying to do his best.

We don't get to see the alien planet, but the space station seemed SO cool, and I wanted to hear more about the cute, weird animals and funky-colored flora. I would really pink grass on my lawn.
I'd love to know about the earlier mates' setup or maybe even the story of Nitiels' parents. The world was set so that this could be made into a series! I think this was a cute story, and I'm looking forward to seeing other stuff from the author.

Content Notes: (These are neither tropes nor warnings.) None.
Content/Trigger Warnings/Enticements: See beginning of book.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book, and this is my voluntary, honest review.

“I am no Terran. A Gaenthian cannot leave his belly button on display when a lady is present. It is scandalous.”

Chloe gets an intergalactic match, and Nitiel must take her back so she can have her match with Commander Siriniel. Things do not go as planned. At all.

This book made me giggle so much. It was fun and light hearted, and the spice was spicy. I loved the supporting characters and how everything unfolded, even though I had a suspicion!

I really enjoyed this and can’t wait to read more from this author.

Cute, fun and sexy. I highly recommend!

Nitiel is a true man (or shall I say alien) of honor, who is having a hard time sticking to the rules once our heroine comes into his life :D. His internal struggle was so fun to read. I am a sucker for a male protagonists who are helplessly pining over the female lead. So I am more than content XD.

As for Chloe, she is an independent (and rather stubborn) young woman who won't allow her fate to be decided for her. (Go girl!) She gets herself into trouble more than once, but no trouble is too big, when you have your sexy alien to come to the rescue ;)

The two of them are forced together by a factors outside of their control, but the longer they stay in each other's company, the harder it gets to keep them apart.

I especially enjoyed exploring the space station where they went; I wish we could have roomed those corridors for longer.

I loved Marian's previous stories and this one didn't disappoint. The main couple has great chemistry ( bonus point for deliciously fun banter) and even the supporting characters are quirky and entertaining.

I am already excited for Marian next novel. I hope we will get to read more of her soon.

Right on Time by Marian Pattechat
Genre: Alien Romance 🛸
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️

TW: Past trauma from being ostracized by family/society, substantial injury from animal attack. See book for full list.

Right on Time by Marian Pattechat is a sweet and silly alien romance that takes place not too far from home.
It was the perfect read for me in between some of my more heavy fantasy reads. I loved how both (Ch)Loe and Nitiel each had their reasons to not want love, but they ended up finding just what they needed in each other. It was a unique approach to the fated mates trope that had me second guessing throughout the story.
Pattechat’s world building was also really enjoyable. A lot of alien romances take place on distant alien planets; Right on Time takes places within our own solar system right next to Jupiter. It was refreshing to read about a first contact that broadened the horizons of humanity through a mutually beneficial relationship.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a sweet alien romance. Be sure to check it out and Marian’s other books too. Thanks again to @marianpattechat for allowing me to be an ARC reader for her book. 💜

Funny, weird, not super spicy

So this story was adorable, it was funny, it had a lovely HEA (even though my favorite endings are with a baby) and was a joy to read... so long as you aren't reading it for the spice. I felt like there wasn't enough description, there was no size differences, things ended too quickly, and the dirty talk was kinda corny. (And the belly button being an erogenous zone? Not my favorite, but I guess some people would enjoy that.) Its a little better the second time but, eh. Regardless, the rest of the story was a joy. I wasn't overly fond of the fact that they made it sound like children become warriors, though. Like, 8 to 12 years old is what it sounded like. Its better than another book I read, though where the child didn't even get to live with its parents and immediately went to school like a year after its born and only visits the parents on the weekends and holidays. I know some countries do that to kids pretty young, but I think being a soldier at that age is a bit too far.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️.5

Oooooh this sweet little bby of a book was so fun, so cute, all the best tropes, and a cinnamon roll of an MMC with an FMC who felt so relatable to me especially when it came to physical appearance! Chloe is willowy and tall and some of the comments ex-partners made about her physical appearance are things I’ve heard a thousand times. Seeing our sweet MMC love her mind, body, and soul felt like such a warm healing kind of love ☺️ I had such a good time with this story, I especially loved the one pilot chair and cuddling for warmth scene 😋 I’ve read all of @marianpattechat books and everyone of them give this kind of fun and cute vibe with all our favorite tropes, adorable space pets, and spice that really hits! Pick up this baby today! 💜💙

Right on Time is the third book by @marianpattechat and absolute must read if you love aliens, arranged marriage, bookdrama and wings. Honestly just look at this gorgeous cover, that alone should be plenty of reason to want to read it!

I can only recommend it with everything that I have. I loved the MCs and how they tried to fight their feelings for each other, only to be pushed together on almost every occasion. There is a bit too much unnecessary drama for me and quite active side characters, but that doesn't deter from the cute story in the center of it.

I can't wait to read the rest of Marians book as I feel like she is an amazing author just starting out and there is so much more to come. I love being in the same indie space as her!

I read his name wrong nearly entire book.

You're telling me this man's name NITIEL and not NIKIEL??? I was halfway through this book and I swear I had reread an entire CHAPTER, realizing in fact that yes... I had been reading his name wrong. Am I dyslexic? No. Have I thought about checking if I am after this? Definitely. Other than my own stupidity and inability to READ, I liked this book and loved the sloooooow burn and "accidents" that kept pulling the main characters closer together 💜
