I like the way the author's instructions are clear and simple. The goals are simple. She provides sequential steps and has a clear understanding of the ADHD mind. The first chapter is really useful with personalised goal setting.
The next two chapters are really helpful in understanding the condition and ways in which to help/support symptoms. The exercises are really useful to help you understand your own individual difficulties.
And the decluttering list takes on another level of support.... lovely one. Time management 101 Loved Kai's examples of our experience. As a female with undiagnosed ADHD but with fabulous avoidant techniques, I can honestly say the doom piles in every room, the avoidant tactics that I utilise and now will be employing the blitz clutter method.
I had never heard of body doubling so that's one I will be looking into. At work I diarise things or use postits but at home the level of overwhelm has increased post children so... the specificity of the first chapter has helped me focus no end. Loved the bullet points in the take aways as even if I've forgotten bits the writer has revisited it.
Parenting teens with ADHD. This has some personal experiences of ADHD and additional research referred to throughout. The different strategies the author uses are brilliant and simplistic for even the most argumentative teen to engage with. Loved the layout and the bullet point summaries. Recommended read.
