A super-steamy arranged marriage mafia standalone romance with a grumpy, broken hero and a sunny-and-strong heroine from bestselling author B. B. Hamel.I accidentally stripped at my arranged fiancee’s club.It lasted ten seconds before he dragged me off stage. But his possessive jealousy woke something in me…I wasn’t born into the mafia and I’m still trying to find my place in the world. Too bad my stepfather is forcing me to marry Carlo Rossi, the gorgeous and vicious son of the powerful Rossi Famiglia. Carlo is handsome in a way that makes my brain do stupid things, but I never wanted this life for myself. Everyone thinks Carlo is some smiling, happy guy, except I’ve seen the ugly darkness hiding under his surface. And he doesn't seem interested in letting me escape now that he's gotten his first taste. I just might escape this nightmare of a marriage in one piece if I can resist his toxic control and intense touch. But all Carlo really wants is me.
Agh!!! I had higher expectations for this one since I loved Carlo in the previous books 🥺
For the first 40-50%, I was sure this was going to be a maximum 3 stars read for me. But I absolutely adored Alana! Also, their relationship got so much better in the second part of the book, hence the final rating.
What to expect - age gap (21 h / 36 H) - no V, which is great, but he did give manhoho-ish vibes; but in the end, that was fine because he truly never loved anyone else; they really did fit together 🥰 // no other people drama at all - arranged marriage turned into love, duh 🥰 - even though they tried to "hate" each other at the beginning, it was clear it was insta lust between them, that nicely transformed into never-ending love 🥰 they really were adorable, and he was so understanding and protective with her 🥰 - no 3rd act breakup, nothing like that, which was great actually, pfiu
Some of my thoughts - I wanted more closure around Alana and her family; especially when it came to the relationship between her and her stepfather - The mafia war part was fine, wrapped up interesting, and left some open doors for the upcoming book, because Stefania will definitely have a book and I'm so curious about it from that short glimpse we had at the end of this book! I'm a little annoyed that once again, it's an arranged marriage, I hope it comes with some sort of a twist 😂 we shall see - Some things were repetitive, like his obsession at the start with her age, and her over-repeating in her head the story of her mom, grandmother, how she met her stepfather, etc etc etc - I was disappointed with Saul in this read, and he was actually my favorite. Nevertheless, despite him not being fair a few times with Carlo in the current book, Saul's story still remains my favorite from this series - I actually loved that for once, they decided to wait a few years until having kids; healthy decision for this couple, it suited their story, and I'm all in for it 😅🩶
I will definitely read Stefania's book. Can't wait!! 👀
. . Favorite quote "I’m ready to listen when you want to talk, and ready to talk when you can’t find anything to say. You’re my wife, Alana, and I will never, ever let something like what happened to you today, ever happen again. I swear it to you on my life, on everything that I am, on my family and my honor as a man. I’ll never let you down.”
- so much sweetness 🥹🥰🥰

This series has been harder than expected for me to get through. I've read all the Rossi brothers stories leading up to this one and have found that as each brother's story was told I had mixed feelings. I initially like Renzo's but have watched his character devolve into a hardened Don that expects everyone in his family to "pay up" for their great lives, aka crime family; by forcing them into arranged marriages to secure alliances. I felt like this series was caught in a "time warp". I didn't feel that it was a storyline that would resonate in 2024. I have read books whereas the "arranged marriage" trope is more suited for the current decade or has a "got ya" or something to make the story a page turner. This one didn't provide that.
Carlo and Alana story had its moments, but Alana was very immature. Too indecisive and too impulsive for her age. She's 21, not 2. Carlo's character did show growth in this story vs., the previous ones. I didn't connect with Alana's character because she was so wishy-washy about her future, and what she wanted to be when she grew up. Her stepfather was a complete douchebag and her mother's character was worthless, but yet Alana just kept giving her slack. She never confronted her actions or demanded why she did what she did including marrying into a crime family. Mummy dearest blamed everyone else for the poor decisions she made and fixated on herself. She should have fought for Alana when she was forced into an arranged marriage but was nothing but a coward. She knew exactly what she was marrying into and exposing her daughter too but couldn't wait to move on up in the criminal underworld. Even knocked out another kid to seal the deal, which she spent little time with.
Carlos was trying to find his purpose in the family during his story but had issues with Renzo. Renzo's character had changed so much since his story that I couldn't stand him by books' end. Carlos and Alana enter into the marriage (both being forced) initially putting a possible end date to it, when the "War" is over. This family is always at war or in some kind of turmoil.
They were a cute couple, but the story like so many arranged marriage tropes was pretty textbook. No big "wows" or revelations or even a bit of originality was in this book.
The ending sucked. I won't be reading any more books attached to this series. Very repetitive storyline.
Okay so the main female character was childish, immature, and quite self-centered. However all of this does also make a bit of sense because she was only 21 years old. I find even when the immaturity and everything makes sense because of how young the character is I still find it unbelievably annoying. I think I've gotten to that age where I just can't read books with extremely young characters anymore. I actually really liked the main male character and thought that he was portrayed fairly well if a bit overly sexual/horny but I felt like the author thought that's how he needed to be, cuz I felt very put on or fake. Overall it wasn't a horrible book but I wasn't that great. I'm undecided on if I will read something else by this author again. I am interested in one of the other brothers stories and if they're both of similar age then maybe I won't find the personality of the characters to be that annoying.
Age is Just A Number - Alana thought she could manipulate her way out of getting married to Carlo, but he turned the tables on her. Even though Carlo wasn’t happy about having to marry Alana because of the age difference, he felt an intense protectiveness towards her from the moment he saw her dismal attempt at being a stripper. Alana may not have wanted the arranged marriage, but she found herself slowly attracted to Carlo the more time they spent together.
Unfortunately, their time getting to know each other and growing their relationship, had to contend with the interruptions so they could deal with family business, which ultimately led to a situation where Alana found herself in danger. Luckily, Carlo was able to rescue her in time, which made them finally acknowledge their true feelings for each other and also gave them the chance to work towards the life of happiness they didn’t know they wanted.
This book was a fascinating read, that kept my attention from the beginning until the end. The characters were interesting and engaging, but the twists in the story made it difficult for me to take a break after I started reading it. I am now looking forward to reading Stefania’s story.

This is my favorite book of the Rossi series. Age gap and arranged marriage. Carlo is the youngest and the last single Rossi brother, so he is to marry Alana, the stepdaughter of Orsino Milano, to seal another alliance. Neither wants to marry the other but have no choice. Carlo is in lust with her and can't wait to have her. He is a very considerate lover though and Alana warms up to him. I loved both characters. Both had miserable childhoods and find they have more in common than they thought. The plot is complex but so interesting. All in all a wonderful read!
This was a good and steamy read. It made me laugh and cheer for Alana and later on for Carlo. They both have a difficult relationship with their families, but make the best of it. They fight, irritate, tease, laugh, and finally love each other. When they are together they give each other the incentive to be themselves and to try new things and to be successful in their own way, because that brings them happiness.
3 /5 A story that's well-written and hilarious from the get-go, but the characters lack depth, making it hard to connect with them. The female character comes across as very immature, and I felt like the main male character behaved similarly. Despite these shortcomings, it remains an easy-to-read, light-hearted story
Satin Empire by B. B. Hamel is book 4 in the Rossi Crime Family Series. This is the story of Carlo and Alana. This book was good. This was a interconnecting series so it does add to your enjoyment if you have read those books.
This was an entertaining and interesting couple to read about. I enjoyed still seeing bits and pieces of the other three brothers and their new families. Good read, good series. Onto the next adventure.
Another Great Story!! Loved reading Satin Empire. This book was a total binge read for me and I couldn’t put it down. Loved the part where Carlo first meet Alana and I loved the rest of their story.
I tore through this one, desperate to find out more about the underlying storyline of the series. Alliances between the strong Italian families have been forged through marriages already, but this time, Carlo needs to step up and marry someone he doesn't know. The intended bride doesn't want this union anymore than he does, but that doesn't matter.
Alana is a sheltered young woman who is, unfortunately, not in control of her life. In a few days from finding out her fate, she becomes Carlo's wife. This is both good and bad, something she will figure out.
This has everything we want and need from a good Mafia read... Drama, bloody conflicts and other issues, steamy chemistry, brotherhood support, strong, smart women, and the retaliation for lives lost.
Once you've finished the the other Rossi couple's HEA journeys, (Renzo and Maddie, Gian and Allegra, and Saul and Molly) this resolution should be satisfying. Carlo and Alana have a good connection and I enjoyed their relationship. But, in a cruel twist, there's more to come for the Rossi family.
I was fortunate to receive a complimentary copy of this book from the author (thank you ❤) and happily leave my review. I suggest reading this series in order for the best experience. I can not WAIT for the next one!
Finally we get Carlo’s story, the last brother in the Rossi family! I had a feeling after book 3 Carlo would be marrying Alana. These two started out a little rocky, but ended up perfectly. There were moments in the beginning Alana got on my nerves w/her bossiness, but I really enjoyed her feistiness! She gave as good as she got, & wasn’t afraid to put Carlo in his place. I really loved Carlo. He was very supportive of supporting Alana in whatever she wanted to do & tried his hardest to make things easier for her. He gave her the one thing she never had- freedom to choose. Next up, & lastly is Stefania & I’m very excited for her story!

Orsino treats her like a prisoner killing her dreams of going to college, devoid her of her friends and when she leaves the house she's always accompanied by one of his men. Alana is twenty-one years old, she beautiful, sassy, defiant and challenging. Because of the way how she was treated Alana has a dislike for the mafia and believes that all mafia men are like her stepfather who controls their women life. Orsino could not wait for the opportunity to arise to get Alana out of his house so that he no longer has to deal with her. So when Don Renzo brought the opportunity to him to form an alliance through marriage, he was all to happy to join forces with the Rossi, the most powerful Don in Philly. Carlo was enjoying watching the goofy girl on stage who lively up his club but as he got closer he saw that it was person who he was about to married, and she was about to take off her top for all the perverts in his club. He instantly became possessive about her. He rushed on the stage and snatched her off. He thought that he was only doing his duty that his brother demanded of him but as his hands touch her breast as he escorted her off the stage he couldn't get his mind off of her. She tried convinced him to have Renzo calling it off because she didn't want to do it but that only backfired on her when Renzo push the wedding up. Carlo thought that she was too young for him plus he didn't typically went out with younger woman. The two constantly budded heads but underneath the jab they were attracted to each other. They succumb to their desires and soon they couldn't keep their hands off each. Alana soon realized that being married to Carlo was a gift because he gave her the freedom that she was denied for years. Satin Empire tells the story of Carlo, the last brother of the powerful Rossi family. It's a Mafia romance of arranged marriage with an age difference between Alana and Carlo that at first bothers the latter a lot. The relationship between them is a little bumpy at first, but the sizzling attraction between these two is there from the start. I loved Carlo as a character, but I loved Alana even more. Each book in the series is a complete standalone featuring a different couple, but for maximum enjoyment, I recommend reading the previous books for a better understanding of mafia war and also to get to know each brother's backstory.

SATIN EMPIRE is the fourth instlament in BB Hamel’s contemporary, adult ROSSI CRIME FAMILY erotic, Mafia romance series. This is thirty-six year old capo Carlo Rossi, and twenty-one year old Alana Milano’s story line. SATIN EMPIRE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary .
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Carlo and Alana) SATIN EMPIRE follows in the wake of the arranged marriage between our story line couple. Alana’s step-father has ‘sold’ Alana it the Rossi Crime Family in return for a merger and mutual support but Alana refuses to be her step-father’s pawn, and goes in search of the man to whom she will be betrothed. Carlo Rossi is a capo in the Rossi Crime Family but a man whose skills are only used to take down and clean up anyone who targets the Famiglia. An arranged marriage was never in the cards but meeting Alana Milano meant a chance at a future with family and love but as Carlo continues to be the family enforcer, our hero is hoping for something more. A war with the Russians threatens the safety of everyone concerned but our heroine will be caught in the cross-fire when she steps out on her own.
The world building focuses on the building romance and relationship between our story line couple as Carlo struggles with his place in the family. Hoping for something more, something to call his own, Carlo is looking to strike out on his own but the Russians are about to interfere with Carlo’s plans for the future.
The relationship between Carlo and Alana is an arranged Mafia marriage , a marriage of which neither Carlo nor Alana are looking forward. There is no major conflict between our story couple although our heroine’s lack of maturity may be her downfall. As the relationship grows, Alana steps up to support the man with whom she is falling in love. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.
The energetic secondary and supporting characters include Carlo’s siblings, their spouses and growing families, as well as Alana’s step father Orsino Milano, her brother Niccola, and her cousin Noah. The requisite evil has many faces.
SATIN EMPIRE is a story of power and control, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dramatic, intriguing and captivating ; the romance is seductive and fated; the characters are determined and dynamic.
Loved it! This is a story about two people, who for very different reasons, felt unseen by those who were supposed to love them, care for them; as if they were only good for one thing and their desires, dreams didn't matter. But they will come to 'see' each other, and together, their dreams will be fulfilled.
At 36 Carlo Rossi is the youngest in his mafia family. His oldest brother, Renzo is the don; Carlo is the muscle, the one they call when someone needs a lesson or when enemies need to be found and questioned or 'unalived'. He loves his family and will do anything for them, but he has some deep seated issues with how they see him.
Stepdaughter to Orsino, another mafia don in their town, twenty-one year old Alana has no idea who she is or what she wants. Orsino's old school and the older she got, the tighter the reigns...not allowed friends, never allowed to go anywhere alone, no college; she was lucky to graduate high school. Chief caretaker and babysitter for her half brother since she was twelve, it was the only use Orsino had for a stepdaughter he never wanted...until now; she's been ordered to marry Carlo to form an alliance with the Rossi mafia family.
Mama's no help because she's always forced her to do Orsino's bidding for fear of losing her liifestyle. She sneaks out of the house and goes to Carlo's strip club hoping to meet him and get his helpnin getting out of this arrangement. But things don't go as planned when his club manager mistakes her for a new stripper. Sometimes Alana can be impetous and what ensues is too funny.
Carlo doesn't want this marriage either. He thinks she's beautiful and is intrigued, but with 15 years between them, he thinks she's too young. He takes pity on her and agrees to talk to his brother, though he knows it will do no good...he is the only brother unmarried and this alliance is needed and in the end, he will do what's needed.
I love how Carlo understands her, how he's so patient with her and does his best to make things easier for her. I love how she begins to realize there's so much more to him than she originally thought; how she goes from wanting out of the marriage to realizing maybe the freedom she's always sought is right there, with him. I love the teasing and the banter between them and how they supported each other and made themselves better people for it. 5 stars.
Satin Empire is an age-gap, arranged mafia marriage. This is Book 4 in The Rossi Crime Family Series. Carlo Rossi is the youngest brother in the Rossi Family. The oldest brother is Don Renzo Rossi and everyone follows his orders. Carlo's rank is a soldier in the family and has only been given low-level businesses to manage. He now manages the Pretty Kitty and Carlo wants better businesses to manage. Carlo mentions it to Don Renzo about a better business and his brother turns him down. Carlo hasn't been given the chance to prove himself. Alana's step-father Orsion Milano has arranged a marriage with Don Renzo Rossi. Alana (21) is to marry Carlo Rossi (36) and neither wants to. Alana's step-father didn't let her attend college and only lets her work a few hours a week. Carlo thinks there is too big of an age difference (15) years between Alana and himself. Alana wants to meet Carlo before they marry, so she goes to Pretty Kitty looking for him. Alana is thought to be a new dancer, so she is put on stage to entertain. Alana is almost finished, when Carlo gets on stage and stops her from finishing. ALMOST ! It seems Carlo and Alana will have to make the best of their marriage.

This is the first book I’ve read in the Rossi Crime Family series, and of course there are characters in this book from previous books. It didn’t have any impact on my reading understanding or enjoyment.
What I liked: I liked that Alana didn’t grow up in a mafia family. I enjoyed the banter between her and Carlo. I liked that Carlo allowed her to be free and find herself. I also enjoyed that Carlo wanted to do more than be the fist and guns of the Rossi family. I loved that Alana and Carlo became a true team despite being forced into marriage.
What I disliked: Carlo’s constant and repetitive thoughts about Alana being too young for him, when he himself acted like he was in his twenties. I kept forgetting he was supposed to be 15 years older. They acted with the same maturity IMO. He was like a horny 20 year old. Alana’s repetitive thoughts on her mom and gran. I wish Alana and her mom could’ve had a more open conversation with each other cause I was left feeling like nothing was resolved between them. Alana just let it go even though her mom’s choices had a huge impact on her. Then there’s Alana’s lack of relationship with Orsino and although he’s her stepfather his presence at her party felt misplaced even though it wasn’t harped on. I also really disliked the use of the curse word GD. I almost DNF early in the book because it was being said by Carlo every five words. I had to stop and do a word count for it because it was said soooo much by him in a short period of time.
Overall I finished feeling like many things were thrown in here that weren’t fully fleshed out or resolved. My favorite part of the story was how they met and that she’s a Buffy fan.
“Satin Empire” is the fourth book in the Rossi Crime Family series by B. B. Hamel. It’s an arranged marriage, age-gap, Mafia romance.
Carlo is the younger brother in the family. He’s the one no one takes seriously; they expect him to act when violence is needed, but not to think. He’s deeper than they give him credit for, and he wants a more significant role in the family he cherishes so much. When his eldest brother, the boss of the family, orders him to marry to achieve a strategic alliance, Carlo can’t (and won’t) say “No”. Alana has spent most of her life knowing her stepfather will utilize her in any way that benefits him and the family her mother married into. When that turned out to be marriage to a man much older than herself, Alana is powerless to stop it. As Carlo and Alana try to come to terms with their new situation, an unusual alliance starts to form between them.
To me, Carlo was the star of this story, and it was poignant to watch him grow and change from the first chapter to the last. Alana also has to involve, but because she’s in so much younger, I think it’s a little easier for her. They have more in common than either of them at first thinks, and that’s complemented by their physical chemistry. There are plenty of secondary characters, including his various family members. (Changes concerning a couple of those family members actually made me sad). I’m hoping to read what happens with the sister in the family next!.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a sharing my thoughts and opinions.
It's time for Carlo to fulfill his family duties and marry who his brother has given him. Alana is relatively new to the mafia underworld, her mother married into it and her stepdad is Orsino Milano. She has a younger brother who is her world and that's what devastates her the most is leaving him to marry. Alana has no desire to marry and doesn't know anything about Carlo but she will change that. She shows up at the club and is accidentally put on the roster to dance and she gets up at that stage and Carlo isn't having it and she comes down as quick as she got up there. I loved the way they met and the interaction that night. Carlo never wanted Alana to feel uncomfortable and hated she didn't want to marry but knew their hands were tied. Carlo was ready to make the most out of the situation. I really like how he treated her and at first it bothered me she wasn't nicer to him. They built a friendship, had the chemistry and then eventually they were falling in love. There were some trials they went thru as a couple and lessons to be learned. Both characters grew up and matured during the book. Also enjoyed the fact in this book Carlo was the one with a praise kink and loved being called "good boy" even though he would never admit it to anyone.
"He's not being gentle anymore; this is the wolf now, the starving beast come to feed, and I want him to feast on me."
I was initially drawn to Satin Empire because of its promising summary. I anticipated a dark mafia romance full of struggles, tension, a bit of action, and ultimately, a satisfying happily-ever-after. Unfortunately, the book did not deliver on these expectations, and I found myself unable to finish it.
The story felt rushed, moving forward at an unnatural pace, which made it difficult to connect with the characters or their journey. The chemistry between the protagonists felt lacking; their connection seemed to revolve entirely around physical intimacy, but there was no emotional depth or personal growth. I couldn’t pinpoint their struggles or understand why they ended up together, which made their relationship feel unconvincing.
For a mafia romance, the plot lacked the tension and grit I was hoping for. The action and conflict that usually make this genre compelling were absent, and the story seemed void of purpose in many parts. While there were love scenes, they did little to advance the story or build a deeper connection between the characters.
Overall, I found Satin Empire to be disappointing. It felt childish and underdeveloped, and I struggled to stay engaged. While some readers might enjoy the romance and steamy scenes, it didn’t offer enough in terms of plot, character development, or emotional depth for me to recommend it.
Arranged marriage sacrifice....well maybe not so much in the end
Satin Empire is the fourth book in the Rossi Crime Family series. It is the story of Alana Milano and Carlo Rossi. Alana is a young woman who does not know what she want to do with her life, as she has lived under the very strict control of her stepfather, Orsino. He is a mafia Don who is very old school and has kept her basically in the house until she could become useful, which is about to happen. Carlo is the youngest brother and enforcer/muscle in the family. He is loyal to a fault and will do anything that is asked of him. When an alliance is brokered between the two families it will be sealed with a marriage. The two "lucky" participants are Alana and Carlo. Neither of them want the marriage but looks are exchanged, intrigue in each other starts and before you know it the papers are signed and the deed is done. Carlo is a gentleman at his core, even though he does the very dirty work in the family. With an age gap between them he realizes the he will have to be patient and take time with Alana. As they get to know each other they start to reveal themselves and discover they may just have a lot in common which will bond them, thus allowing true feelings to grow.
Romantic Arranged Mafia Romance Carlo and Alana are being forced into marriage. She does not want to be his wife and he does not want to be her husband. They have that in common, but there is no way out. Carlo wants to make her transition as painless as possible. Ever since the night he saw her at the strip club he has been having an intense, primal need for her. He wants to help her feel better and protect her which is not an emotion he is used to feeling. He got all jealous and cave man on her that night, but the possessiveness she unleashed in his guts has not gone away. She is too young for him but what does that matter when she sees life more clearly than he does. This was a gripping arranged marriage age gap mafia romance. It is abounding in steam and emotion while at the same time being mixed with violence and suspense. Both Carlo and Alana intertwined themselves in to my heart as they both grew personally and traveled towards their happy-ever-after. Looking forward to reading about Carlo’s sister, Stefania’s arranged marriage next. I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.
I was looking forward to reading Carlos's story & wasn't disappointed, I almost read in one sitting. Alana wanted to meet Carlo the man her step-father had hold to to be married to but when she went to club to meet him things took an awkward turn of events. Carlo went to check on his club but when he realised why the girl stripping on stage looked familiar he was up out of his seat at was on fire grabbing Alana off the stage. Their first introduction before getting married was not your typical hello shaking hands as his hands were firmly placed on her naked breasts & i couldn't help but giggle to myself. Their story is sweet, steamy, sassy, flirty but then at times very emotional especially when we find out more about how Carlo feels about his part in the family. It takes a dangerous turn before they could possibly admit to each other how they felt. Its great to see how she blended in with his family. After the snippet of Stefania's story I'm already counting the days.

Alana is in a strip club called The Pretty Kitty waiting for a Mafia Prince. All she has is a grainy photo that her cousin Noah sent her. He mother married Orsino Milano, the Don of the Milano Famiglia when Alana was 12. If her stepfather finds out that she’s at the club, she will be in big trouble. Her stepfather has arranged for Alana to marry Carlo Rossi to form an alliance between the two families.
Carlo Rossi was put in charge of the Rossi Famiglia clubs by his older brother, Don Renzo. Through a comedy of errors by Alana, she ends up on stage dancing. Luckily Carlo recognizes her before she totally strips. They are dead if anyone from either family finds out what happened. Carlo is 36 and Alana is just 21 and neither of them wants to get married.
I think I enjoyed the banter and attraction between Carlo and Alana the most. It was awesome how they ended up helping each other navigate being married. I loved this whole series.

We finally get Carlo’s story with him and Alana being forced into an arraigned marriage for a power move by both families and it actually happens! It’s hilarious how these two meet and what an intense connection they have. There is an age gap where Carlo is shocked he’s expected to marry Alana whose’s 15 years younger than him. Alana’s stepfather sells her with no care and has always been mean treating her horribly. The war with the Russians is still on going and causing problems. When Alana speaks her mind and shows her sassiness Carlo’s finds himself falling for her. It’s nice to see how Carlo’s supports Alana on her journey to find what would make her happy and how he goes after the club on his own away from the family! These two take an impossible situation and find a way to work together finding happiness, dealing with past trauma, coming face to face with the enemy, earning g respect and finding Love! This is the final Rossi brother to fall. Carlo is the happy go lucky killer in the family. But after meeting his arranged bride he wants to be more. He thought he was just doing his duty to family but when he sees his fiance stripping his protective and possesive instincts kick in. And that first contact lights a fire in him. Alana Milano hates that she has no choice in marrying Carlo. But her stepfather insists and her mother will not stand up for her. She goes to Carlo’s strip club to talk to him. But is mistaken as the new dancer/stripper. Well she gets her chance to talk to him. But her stunt backfires. Carlo is fifteen years older and tells her she is immature. This sets up their rocky romance. There are lots of danger and passion. And soon Alana is falling for her husband. And Carlo was hooked at first sight. I thoroughly enjoyed this fast paced read. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for the baby sister.

He is seen as the one who doesn’t take anything seriously and doesn’t follow through – however, he is the one they call when they need someone taken out or handled. Alano is 21, is ruled by her stepfather and loves her little brother. Her life is no longer her own and all she wants to do is figure out what she wants and her freedom.

First of all,I love B.B. Hamel's books and when a new one comes out I have to stop read it right away and then I can't put it down.Well it didn't change for this either.Carlos save Alana from a very boring life and maybe she did fine her life purpose with the help of Carlos.Carlos was a loss soul until he meant Alana even if the age difference is a problem but they Conquer that they find that truly love each other and it makes them stronger.I did feel something wasn't finished in this book, like something that Carlos didn't tell Alana something and also Carlos 's older brother was being very evasive with Carlos and what was going on with their little sister which was something different all together. I hope I don't have long to wait to fine out the mystery that Carlos's older brother isn't telling yet!
