My trip to Mexico for my cousin’s wedding was only supposed to be a few days of obligation and oceanside.

I wasn’t expecting Luke.

Wasn’t expecting the hot hockey player, with the smirks and the tattoos, who kept bumping into me.

And I certainly wasn’t expecting to spend a night on the beach, under the stars, underneath him.

It was magical, but I thought it would end there.

Instead, we exchanged numbers and stayed in touch.

So when Luke invited me to watch him play in Vegas, I went.

And it was great.

Until we woke up the next morning and found the wedding certificate in my pocket.

Turns out that dance party we snuck into was actually a group wedding ceremony.

And now we’re married.

Which is bad.

Because I think our wedding was actually our first date. And if my dad finds out, he’ll cut me out of the family business.

So when footage leaks of Luke and me hot and heavy in an elevator, I have to make up a new plan to save my reputation and career.

Now, all I need is for Luke Anders to act like he’s madly in love with me.

Should be easy.

Right?

Ehhh, this was so-so, and the insta-lust didn't work for me. I think this is one of the horniest couples I've come across, and a huge part of the story involves their hormones. Also, the timeframe of the whole story was short, and reading them fall in love came off as a bit surprising. 🤷‍♀️

Anyway, a brief background: they met in Mexico, where both of their cousins are holding their own separate weddings. They had ONS, they exchanged numbers, and they have been texting for a month. They planned to meet in Vegas during one of Luke's (36) games, and they got accidentally married. They're supposed to divorce, but Natalie's father found out about their marriage and threatened to kick her out if that's a scandal. So, being the clever woman that she is, they decided to stay married for awhile. Well, technically, Nat (32) decided to stay, and she kind of blackmailed Luke to go along with her plan.

Like I said, it didn't work for me. I think most of their interactions were driven by physical aspects and less by emotional things. Also, the fact that these two are into public indecency made me uneasy for some reason. They've been doing it a lot, and sometimes they are actually caught. Exhibitionism isn't my kink, and these two are so into that. 🤷‍♀️

Don't get me started when Luke ghosted her for two weeks because he was hurt and his ego couldn't take it. Nat forgave him so quickly, I wish she had made him work for it.

I know she was wrong, but they were adults who should know how to communicate better. Nat did contact him on numerous occasions, and instead of replying to even just one text, he sulked at his best friend's house for two weeks. He said he was planning on apologizing to her, but it was still Nat who reached out first and apologized, again. Tbf, with Luke, when he finally got his head out of his ass, he did say sorry too, but idk, I was annoyed at him, so his apology didn't move me. It kind of made me annoyed even more, tbh. 🤷‍♀️

And I got secondhand embarrassment with his grand gesture at the end. It was too much, and I was dreading every minute of it. But hey, it works for them. So I guess, there's that. 🤷‍♀️

Overall, this last book in the series didn't work for me. I liked the first two but the 3rd and 4th not so much. But I did appreciate seeing a glimpse of each couple's lives years later.

Sleet Princess is the fourth book in SJ Tilly’s ‘Sleet’ series, which follows a group of hockey players and their women. Just like the previous three, this was fun and enjoyable. I do wish we would have had more time with Luke and Natalie as a couple, but as a whole this was great.

Amazing. Spectacular. Brilliant. A hug for all SJ hockey romance fans. This book was everything I wanted it to be and more.

Luke is the last in the Sleet hockey team group of guys who hasn’t found someone to spend their life with. Luke wants love, but isn’t having luck finding someone who wants to be with him and not just the hockey player. At his cousin’s wedding, he’s instantly enamored with Natalie.

Natalie is an heiress who’s at the same resort as Luke for her cousin’s wedding. When she feels the same spark as Luke, all inhibitions fly out the window for a world-wind vacation romance. They stay in touch and find themselves in Vegas, I think you can guess how that trip ended.

I loved Luke and Natalie together so much. Their personalities complemented each other beautifully and they fit in so perfectly with the entire friend group. I love how the wedding became a running “joke” for them. I loved them so much.

The epilogues were perfection. It was a proper goodbye for Luke and Natalie, plus all the other couples. If there’s one thing about SJ, it’s that she’ll always nail the series ending epilogues.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Not my favorite

I'm starting to think that I only like Tilly's mafia romance, which would be an extremely disappointing development since I love those books SO much. This series is all bubblegum and cotton candy, way too fluffy and lusty for me. And furry? If you know, you know, lol. As a whole, the improvement in Tilly's writing from the first book in the series (her debut many books ago) to this one (her newest) is very obvious, and for that I am happy. It felt like a Tilly book, and that is absolutely a compliment - the playfulness and banter bled from the page, and it's full of her signature spice. However, this one gets a lower rating from me than Sleet Kitten because I was quite simply disinterested in the love story. These two seem to ONLY have lust and banter between them, getting together VERY early on and keeping the tension to a minimum. In some ways that's a positive, but it left me missing the extra oomph of friction and sexual tension. The stakes were low, and so was my attention span.

The story follows Natalie, a woman who meets a sexy hockey player and immediately hits it off with him. What starts as a fling soon begins to feel like more, and after weeks of texting they accidentally get married in Vegas. But neither one intended to get married so quickly, and that leaves them unsure of where things stand - especially since Natalie has been keeping a few secrets.

My description of the plot is a little lighter than usual, simply because the plot in this IS lighter than usual - I feel like if I say any more, I'll give away the entire story. A whole lot of time is spent on banter and spice, with very little time spent developing the relationship in other ways. I feel like most of the non-spice scenes involved the friend group, which isn't really what I'm looking for. I adore Tilly's skill at writing banter and spice, but I do need to feel more depth from the couple. I still barely know Luke as a person, and I wasn't particularly fond of Natalie's personality. So there wasn't anything compelling me to keep turning the pages, then the whole furry situation happened and I knew things were spiraling in a direction I didn't like. I think I just have to call this one a miss for me, and look forward to what's next. Here's hoping we get more with those mafia vibes soon.

happy release day for sleet princess 👑👑👑

i would read sj tilly's grocery list if she published it so it should surprise noone that i had to get my dirty mitts on this arc - sj writes curvy/plus size heroines like no other and i am eternally grateful for these books and their representation. 💗

my blurb:
natalie wagner and luke anders hook up when they are both attending different weddings in the same resort in mexico. sparks fly and after a few failed attempts (cue dad turning up to your hotel room with ice cream and luke having to slip out the balcony door directly into the swim up pool .. fully clothed 😂) .. the sex is hottttttt!!

they meet up a few times when they get back, one night in particular in vegas where they get a little tipsy, talk their way into a club and walk out married ... 🎉 surprise 🫢

i wont say anymore but this has all of the whip smart banter you would expect of an sj tilly book. its such a fun, fast read .. perfect for a vacation!!

thank you @sjtillyauthor and @valentine_pr_ for the arc!!

S.J. Tilly’s books are so readable. I was just going to read a few pages before brushing my teeth, and then next thing I knew… I’d finished the book.

I really enjoyed this accidental marriage romance — it was fast paced and low angst. Yes, it was instalust/instalove, but sometimes I just want to entertained by two characters who are all-in early, getting into wacky situations. I was charmed by a lot of Luke and Natalie’s interactions (including their meet cute and texts), and the mascot scene was definitely a highlight. 🤣

I forgot to write a review for this story and well…now my overloaded brain doesn’t have the patience to do it.

But listen this series is cute as hell and while this wasn’t my favorite of the series it was a great end and I’ll miss this world and its characters.

”Never gonna hurt you.” Luke turns his head and licks a streak across my neck. “Promise you’ll like it when I stuff you full of this dick.”

I can always count on Tilly to write a funny, sweet and entertaining romance!

Over the years I came to know S.J Tilly generic plots and writing style. It's the kind of fluffy romance with insta-attraction to insta-love. MCs will communicate so well in the department of sex and dates but they'll leave confessing commitment till last chapters.

MMC is always rugged and huge. FMC is always curvy and short but plus-seized.

Sleet Princess easily achieved the very difficult goal of being sexy, witty and heartaching at the same time. Natalie and Luke made me fall in love from the very first page. A sassy and bada&& bodsy heroine. A charming and sexy jock. And an epic entertaining story full of one night stand shenanigans, accidental Vegas wedding, fake marriage complication and the best kind of bromance.

Minnesota Sleet's star played Luke Anders meet Natalie Wagner for the first time in Mexico where they were both attending weddings. They had an unforgettable one night stand and they stayed in contact..because they both could feel there is something more than chemistry. Luke knows that Natalie works in Wag Corporation but he doesn't know she is the owner's daughter and working hard to become the next CEO. Their meeting in Vegas turned out to end in a drunken Accidental marriage. & when Natalie's dad comes to know about it before they can get divorced(because of a leaked clip) Natalie has no option but to continue it. Will Luke see her reasons? Or are they doomed?

I am a sucker for a hero who falls first and Luke fell hard for Natalie. He has a wicked sense of humor and the text messages between Luke and Natalie are probably the highlights for me! Gotta love a couple that can exchange hilarious and sexy messages like that! Natalie had a lot riding on the next year..just not her future CEO role, rather the changes she want to make. Luke was really angry and frustrated when Natalie kind of put him in a difficult position regarding the fake marriage and that made him shut her out. It was so heartbreaking. Natalie felt extremely guilty and sad. But Luke came to see the reasoning when some time passed and he immediately became the most supportive and adorable fake husband ever. Natalie's insecurities didn't actually die but Luke kept on showing her that what they have is more precious and life altering than a fake marriage. Luke is such a perfect book boyfriend. He makes you laugh, he makes you blush and he makes you swoon. Natalie is a strong and stubborn boss babe but even the toughest girls need champions. It's my first Sleet series book and I immediately regret not picking up the previous books because omg this crew is more than awesome. Luke and Natalie were seriously on a rollercoaster. From uncomplicated sexy times to PR nightmare to pretending they are not crazy for each other to happily ever after. And I loved every moment.

Ps those epilogue were priceless.

Fabulous book. S. J. Tilly has FAST made herself a favorite author of mine. I’ve read (and reread and rereread 😁) the entire Alliance Men series. They will forever live rent free in my mind.
This is my first book in the Sleet series. I loved it. It was a different vibe from the Alliance obviously but I’m convinced S.J. Tilly can write anything and I know I’ll love it. I’m a fan of sports romance. 🏒 Hockey romances are a particular favorite trope and I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys hockey romance as well. I WILL be going back to read the first three Sleet books. Yes, it IS a hockey romance but it’s also a love story for any fan of the genre. The story was told beautifully! These are grown adults. A more mature book, if you will. (No shade to ANY other hockey romances-I love them all!) This story follows our MMC, Luke Anders from the Minnesota Sleet and our FMC a CEO-to be, professed workaholic, Natalie Wagner., whom Luke dubs “Princess” at their first meeting. They are both in Mexico for a wedding. Not the same wedding. However, once Luke sets his sights on Natalie, our gorgeous curvy girl 😘, he’s done for. He’s not letting go. Oh how I love the authors possessive men! 🥵 Natalie enjoys their short time together in Mexico. He lives in Minnesota, she lives outside of Chicago. He asks for her number. They’ll never see each other again, right? WRONG. Natalie’s company just purchased the Minnesota Biters(football team) and Natalie and her father, the current CEO are moving to Minnesota. The exceptionally witty banter that began in Mexico continues as they begin texting regularly. Love it! Since they both travel alot with their jobs, Luke sees a chance (within both of their schedules) for Natalie to meet him in Vegas for a game and a couple of days off and she agrees. Let’s just say they had a GREAT time in Vegas and what happened in Vegas DID NOT stay in Vegas. 😳. I love this story. I cannot say it enough. I love the character building, the growth of the characters on their own journey and together. They both overcame diversity and this is such a special hea. You honestly don’t know what could happen next in this lovely whirlwind romance. The vulnerability of both Luke and Natalie is so beautiful to see. 5 stars Ms. Tilly.

Ugh, the sweetness in this book was just too much for my black, little heart to handle, at times.🥹
Also, the humor and banter and hilariously disastrous moments were all so good.
And the smut.🫣
Just yes.
I forgot just How much I love this author’s books. I can’t wait for her next release!

Maybe it’s the tattoos. Maybe it’s the broad, muscular shoulders. Maybe it’s the way he walks. But his presence is big.
I love it.

Luke Anders.
The star hockey player.
Ready to settle down.

Natalie Wagner.
The heiress to Wag Corp.
Married to her job.

And I never thought I wanted that. The whole marriage thing. But now…
I look down at my cousin and think about the fact that he’s getting married tomorrow.
Now I want it.
I want a girl of my own.

Luke and Natalie meet when they are atteding different weddings at the same resort at the same time. After a one night stand they keep in touch with each other. When they meet up in Vegas during Luke's away game, a drunken night leads to an accidental marriage. With Natalie moving to Minnesota and both living in the same city, things get more complicated with their relationship and the marriage than either one of them expected.

I had previously read Alliance series by the author and considering how much I loved it (especially Dom!), I was intrigued by Sleet Princess. But, I have to admit, if I did not know Sleet Princess is written by the same person who wrote Dom, I would never believe it. The style is just too different (although there are similarities as well).

Therefore, I have to unfortunately say that this books was not really my cup of tea. It was well written in general and pleasant to read but, above all, I felt like it was too easy and light. The main characters had a few hiccups they had caused themselves but, for the most part, this book was mainly insta-love and living in la-la land. Also, the chapters were way too short for my tastes and the constant change of POV was more annoying than pleasant.

My Princess is beautiful.
The world loves beautiful things.
The world loves to prop up beauty above all else.
But Natalie Wagner is more than just a pretty face.
And I’m thinking maybe the world hasn’t told her how much it needs her.

All the hardships the main characters faced were caused by themselves. Mainly, by shutting each other out and not communicating. And they did not even seem to learn from it since that was what caused both their first big rift and the third-act break-up. Nothing is more annoying to me than the main characters repeating their mistakes time and again.

There were good things in Sleet Princess as well. As I said, the book was well written, just not in a way that I would have preferred. I absolutely loved the accidental marriage trope and how the main characters ended up meeting each other! Also, the fact that Natalie was ready moving to Minnesota before meeting Luke was such a cute coincidence. This book also included lots of good banter! Mainly by Luke though 🙈

Tropes:
🏒Hockey Romance
💪Alpha Hero
💍Accidental Marriage
🤤Plus Sized FMC
💦 One Night Stand
😍 He falls first

I am such a sucker for books where the MMC falls first. It's just so dang cute! The author did an amazing job odaking this book a combination of cute, sexy, funny and heartwarming. I really loved the banter between Natalie and Luke. One of my favorite things was when they were texting each other. Their texting back and forth reminded me of when I was in a long distance relationship with my bf. Luke's and Natalie's relationship def had issues when Luke was upset with Natalie when he was put in a difficult position regarding their fake marriage. I love Luke but good lord one of my major turnoffs in anyome, and books is when a partner shuts the other person out. So he def lost some brownie points there. BUT he made up for it with how much he supported her and kept reassuring her through her insecurities. This book was so stinking cute and I need more!

Sleet Princess is the final book in the Sleet Series. I didn’t read the first 3 books and I’m mad at myself for starting backwards. It didn’t necessarily ruin anything but I’d have liked to know the other characters ahead of time since they do show up, and some of them have their own chapters here. So - I will be going back to the beginning. At first I was a little overwhelmed by the number of chapters, but they are pretty short and I feel like I read through this book quickly - even though it’s 400pgs. I have to say that I really loved so many things about Luke and Natalie. The first being their banter, there were a lot of moments that had me laughing - BLIZZ! If you know, you know. I loved the text messages, their personalities, and together they were just hot. Plus I love that Natalie was a thick girl. I read a lot of dark romance, so this was a nice change of pace for me - lots of cute moments, spicy, low angst, and a HEA. It just made me really happy.

This was super cute! I think it was a great end to an awesome hockey series. Luke and Natalie had great banter, spicy chemistry and just fit in each other’s lives so well. I loved the interactions between the other characters that appeared in the series previously and the text exchanges were hilarious. Definitely some scenes had me cracking up. My only feedback is there are a lot of super short chapters and it felt a little disjointed.. we would start a scene in Natalie’s pov, then three paragraphs later the chapter would end and it would continue the same scene in Luke’s pov. It felt really switchy and I didn’t get a chance to immerse myself in the scene with the chapter breaks. Also the conflict at the end felt rushed - I wish they would have communicated and built it up a bit more vs. something thrown in that was resolved almost right away. Just my two cents but I had a good time reading it and would recommend it to hockey romance lovers!

Thank you to Valentine PR for the arc!

I don’t even know how to put my thoughts and feelings into to words right now. I’ve just sat and bawled my eyes out knowing the sleet series is over! I’m not ready to say goodbye 🥺

Thank you so much to valentine PR for the ARC read, i’m seriously so grateful to have the opportunity to ARC read for my favourite author.

After reading books 1-3 multiple times, i’ve been dying to read Luke’s story for so so long now. It’s safe to say, he did not disappoint.

Luke, after watching his best friends, has been wanting to settle down for a while when he bumps into Natalie. Natalie is an absolute girl boss, she’s so independent and it’s one of the things i absolutely adore about her. It’s an instant connection between these two, Luke is absolutely obsessed with her from day 1 - which we can see straight away in his POV! This is one of the things i love about SJ books, the dual POV shows exactly how obsessed the mmc’s are with their girls!

Honestly, i was blushing and giggling the whole way through the book. I was sucked into the SJ world yet again and ignored all of my responsibilities for 24 hours whilst i finished this book… no regrets, my university assignments can be finished later!!

tropes:

🌷 ice hockey romance
🌷 accidental marriage
🌷 alpha mmc
🌷 curvy heroine
🌷 vegas wedding
🌷 instant connection/ attraction

do yourself a favour, and read this book!!

I'm sad to see the Sleet Series over, but what a way to go! I loved the tropes and MCs!

Luke was fun and playful which helped balance Natalie and some of her insecurities. I loved how much time he spends building her up.

One of my favorite parts of the book was the accidental marriage part, it was definitely a unique twist to married in Vegas!

Definitely read this one until the very end!

Sleet Princess by S.J. Tilly

⭐️⭐️.75
🌶️🌶️🌶️

Luke Anders is the last of his friendship group to find the one. At 36-years-old, he has come to believe that he will never find anyone that can live with his chaotic schedule and star studded life. That’s until he sees 32-year-old Natalie Wagner, laying down on a weight bench, lifting a 1 pound kindle instead of a 10 pound dumbbell.

SJ Tilly is not shy establishing that the connection between the two is far past mutual attraction but an intensive, steamy affair, leaving both of them hot and bothered at the smallest of touches. Unfortunately, this was the extent to good writing choices in this book, other than the spiciness, Sleet Princess was another book filled with cringey dialogue, useless scenes and an immature, horny male MC. The writing decisions in this book were quite questionable, including the length of chapters. Some chapters in this book were less than 50 words and although it was intentional, the disruption significantly affected the flow of the book.

Luke and Natalie were the typical immature couple, who are both in their mid-30s but somehow don’t know how to act accordingly. Besides the steaminess, there was a lack of intention to build a foundation to their relationship. The whole novel lacked any direction or connection between the two, making the whole ruse unbelievable.

Sleet Princess is a novel based on two horny mid-30s individuals who don’t know anything in a relationship besides sex and small banter here and there. I wish SJ Tilly spent more time building the tension, angst and dimension to their relationship. Unfortunately, the novel felt directionless the whole time.

Luke Anders feels left out as all of his best friends and teammates have found their life partners. He's not sure if it will ever happen for him when he ends up meeting Natalie during a cousin's wedding in Mexico, and the two hit it off immediately striking up a long distance romantic connection. A wild night in Vegas ends up with rings on the their fingers and as they try to figure out what to do next, PR needs come first and is it weird to date your wife?

This was thoroughly enjoyable. Luke was always a bit of a background character in the other Sleet books but I'm so glad he got his own book and his own love story. Going into this I actually thought that Luke's romantic interest was going to be Steph, Jackson's sister, and we would have the trope of 'brother's best friend' but instead we got 'accidental marriage' and I was here for it.

I really like the relationship and connection between Luke and Natalie. It felt very real, nothing was forced and I also like the maturity in their relationship and how with many things, they took it in their stride. I believed in them and I rooted for them and I loved how Luke was always so in the relationship, as was Natalie. I'm not sure if we could make the blip at the end a third act breakup as it wasn't a very long separation - a matter of a couple of hours- but i actually think we didn't even need it. And the scene in the board meeting was a bit dramatic and farcical for me, as there is no way that something like that would ever prove you are able to run a company (your actual work does that?!).

I do think you can see a big improvement in the quality and control of SJ Tilly's writing in Sleet Princess in comparison to the other Sleet books published several years ago. The flow of the story was so much betetr as we jumped between each character with Luke and natalie continuing where we left off instead of backtracking and repeating moments in ways I had seen in other books. The sexy scenes were hot and passionate, with also some added humour with the Blizz element (IYKYK).

And just to add I really appreciate the female friendship at the core of this series and how even Natalie who was a brand new character for readers and the other characters was accepted into the flow by the girls, and made to feel welcome. I think moments like this are just so important especially as in some romance books there can be a women Vs women vibes where this series is the compete opposite and I've always loved it.

I'm sad this series is over as I've really enjoyed my time with the Sleet team (lowkey want a jersey) and now I just have to decide what my next SJ Tilly series will be.

✨ ARC REVIEW ✨

"Something big- and important- settles in my chest. Because it's her. It's my fucking wife. And she doesn't just look like a princess. She looks like a fucking queen."

Where do I even start with this book!?!? It was the most PERFECT ending to the series. My favorite thing about the Sleet Series is that each book just makes you feel HAPPY. This one made me laugh out loud, made me swoon, made me cheer, and even made me cry. I've loved each and every character in this series and the way everything tied together in the end was so good. I didn't want to say goodbye, but since I didn't have a choice, I couldn't think of a better way to do it.

"She's the big shot here, and I'm just the arm candy. I'm perfectly okay with that because, at the end of the night, she's going home with me."

Natalie and Luke are EVERYTHING together! Natalie is a billionaire on her own and I adored her sassy, driven personality. Luke is a goofy, jokester and I had the biggest crush on him the entire time. I thought I would be "Team Hunt" forever, but I'm totally and "Anders" girl now! The situations that they found themselves in were hilarious. (Her hotel room and the locker room jump out to me! IYKYK) Just like with all the other books, I adored the girl gang and all their banter back and forth. This ending had me on an emotional roller coaster because it was just so sweet and heartfelt but had SJ's signature banter sprinkled all throughout. And the epilogue was everything a Sleet Fan could have wanted. I loved this book so much (if you can't tell) and will recommend it to EVERYONE!

"By the end of this game, I'm either going to have a heart condition or ruined panties. Probably Both."

This is the last book to the Sleet Series and though it could be read as a standalone, I HIGHLY recommend you jump into the other books in the series first so the epilogue makes sense!

Thank you to SJ Tilly and her amazing team for a chance to read and review this book in exchange for my honest opinions.

Luke & Natalie

Gosh I can’t believe this is the end of the Sleet series!! Luke and Natalie were such a whirlwind and I adored them so so much. They have instant chemistry and the flirty banter was top tier. I enjoyed all the near misses they had while at the resort and it really amped up the sexual tension between them. They were sweet and spicy and fun.

Maybe why I love them so much is that their story felt so unique. They start as a fling of sorts but also build a friendship too with calls and texts after. The surprise accident group wedding was hilarious. There were so many small moments that were funny and sweet and make ya melt for them together.

I appreciated that we got some serious drama in the middle and it was all cute and sweet. They both made some missteps in how they handled it but I was so relieved they came back together in such an epic fashion. The Blizz chapters (IYKYK 😂) were downright hilarious and the locker room was spicy and funny. Poor Jackson lol.

I loved every minute of their crazy journey together and how they both fell head over heels for one another ❤️

Luke and Natalie 🥹

They find each other at a resort in Mexico while there for different weddings, after Luke walks into the gym only to find Natalie laying on a workout bench in her swimming outfit while reading a book… and these two were just 😏🫠🥺🤌🏼

This one had a different approach to the whole plot and I LOVED the way it played out. It honestly had me thinking it was going to go in a different direction on multiple occasions like someone recording their convocation in the hotel or finding documents and leaking it etc but instead it stuck to a very simple yet complicated romance which was well written, having me devouring it in one sitting!! (It’s literally 1.30am right now)😴

This is the final book in the Sleet series and I have to say I’m a little sad to see it ending but am happy with how it did. This whole series had some of the best humour and every single book was just as good as the other when it came to the characters and storylines. The dynamic between the guys and the girls were just so freaking good!!

THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD CONCLUSION TO THE SLEET SERIES AND SJ TILLY IS A QUEEN 🙌🏼

I’m giving this 5 stars purely for the fact that I couldn’t put it down and loved all the warm fuzzies it gave me. Sure it’s not classic literature with a heavy plot but it was sweet, funny and kept me well entertained.

I loved Luke and Natalie together. They had sexual chemistry from the get go and their sassy banter and teasing kept the pace moving throughout. I enjoyed the hilarious text threads and the spicy scenes were on fire. Luke was adorably romantic too.

The humour in this book was fantastic. I love that we had little POV cameos from the wives and husbands from the previous books. The scene with Blizz also had me cackling and the retelling of it at brunch was just as good.

I liked that the third act conflict was barely a blip in the story. It was just enough to get your heart racing before Luke swooped in with an utterly swoonworthy declaration and the HEA was saved.

I also appreciated all the epilogues we got, from multiple POVs. It was a nice little tie-in to the previous books and rounded out the series in a very cute way.

All in all this was a sweet and spicy, fastburn sports romance with a whole heap of humour and sass on the side. I’m sad to say goodbye to the Sleet crew but I can wait to see what’s next from SJ!

Huh.

After meeting at a resort in Mexico, Luke and Natalie fall in instalust. They keep in contact, texting and messaging, until a drunken night in Los Vegas has consequences.

I love this author. There hasn't been a book I didn't love... until this one. It wasn't BAD, the storyline was there but its as if the author changed her whole style of writing and the book lacked emotional depth and character depth because of it. I didn't connect with either of them. The quick, snappy writing is okay SOME OF THE TIME. I thought it'd just be over a chapter or two but it was the entire book. I didn't like how often it switched POV and the lack of descriptive text. It just felt like the book was rushed.

The book made me laugh, several times. So there is that.
