The final book in The Irish Wolves trilogy! Raven and River endured their share of tragedies, but unfortunately for Rowan, Fate decided to double down.
Rowan is the youngest of the Byrne sisters, a sister-in-law twice over, Auntie to one, single, and hopelessly in love with a man more than twice her age. Her sisters, Raven and River, found their forever afters – But it isn’t looking so good for Rowan.
Hugh O’Faolain is a retired Tulsa oil billionaire, father of two grown sons, grandfather of one, and in love with a woman far too young– the youngest sister of his two daughters-in-law. He moved to Ireland with his sons just to be close to her even though he’d sworn never to claim her, even though they’d secretly crossed the line more than once.
She ran from him. He followed. Was it too little too late?
Rowan's had enough of unrequited love, so she packs up, leaves her family– and Hugh –in Ireland, and runs back to Oklahoma. No one is more surprised than Rowan when she meets a guy who might...maybe...replace her first love.
As Rowan steps into a new relationship, she's confronted with unexpected pitfalls, one of which could potentially tear her away from her family. Permanently.
Turns out, getting shot by a deranged stalker wasn’t the worst thing that could happen to Rowan...
Anne Gregor has a Master of Arts in History with an emphasis on the Civil War. For her thesis, she focused on Irish immigrants working the transcontinental railroad across America, specifically those who settled in Oklahoma amongst Native Americans. A love for research turned into a love for fictional writing, and soon, every old document Anne ever studied became the premise for a novel. Anne Gregor has been writing book reviews for several years and is a freelance proofreader. Oklahoma is near and dear to her heart as she lives on Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees. Anne is the author of three contemporary romance series: The Irish Wolves Trilogy, The Scottish Lions, and Irish Wolves Legacy.
What a series finale! In addition to being the longest book of the series, I felt this book had the most compelling storyline. The issues raised between the main characters were *mostly* valid! This contemporary, billionaire romance explores large age gap, interconnected families and opposites attract while giving the reader wonderful tension, spice, possessive/obsessive alpha male, artistic female, and a cat/mouse game that doesn't stop giving!
Rowan is the youngest of the Byrne sisters and though she may be the quietest of the bunch...she grows her voice in this one! Hugh is the patriarch of the O'Faolain family, has two grown sons and a grandson. Rowan is eager to act on the undeniable chemistry between the two, Hugh is unable to get past the age gap to agree to a relationship. He isn't, however, able to let Rowan move on to find someone else to love!
In typical Byrne sister fashion, Rowan runs away to lick her rejection wounds and attempt to put her attraction for Hugh behind her. She even begins dating another older man before Hugh shows up unexpectedly and the two are forced to figure out their situation once and for all. MANY challenges come up which triggers all of Hugh's protective instincts. He is forced to decide if he can move past the age gap and family dynamics (she is the sister to Hugh's daughter-in-laws) or if he must let her go for good.
This series has such a beautifully artistic quality. The author does a fantastic job with world building, culture, architecture and design. I loved the settings (split between Ireland and central America), I loved the funny family dialogues and I loved so many of the side characters (fingers crossed for some crossover series!). I did rather tire of the constant running away by the FMCs. I just shook with the need to tell them to buckle up and deal with this situation! In Rowan, I particularly enjoyed how the author captured the social and moral dilemmas Hugh had with their relationship. It was refreshing to see.
Overall, I loved this series and I am very hopeful that we will get some side characters pulled into their own books next!
I was very excited when this book came across as one of my options because I had been wanting to know how the trilogy ends. It goes straight into the story between the main characters’ relationship. Definitely has plenty of sexual angst and steamy moments. The age difference between the two wasn’t such a big deal; lots of stories include wide age gaps. However, the part that was a little hard to get comfortable with was how the family is so intertwined. This is addressed in the story, so I appreciate that the author didn’t shy away from writing about the awkwardness of the family dynamics. And, while awkward, it did make for some really funny moments and dialogue. Another item that stuck out to me (Spoiler) was that the conclusion of the kidnapping was very abrupt. I felt there could have been a chance to expand on this a bit, however that wasn’t the style of the book. In all, the entire trilogy is fun and lighthearted. I thought this was cute, and opens up potential for additional books for other characters.

Age-Gap Romance with Family Dynamics That Will Make Your Head Spin
Rowan is in love with Hugh, a man, twenty-nine years older than she is. To make it even more interesting, he is the father of her brothers-in-law. If you are confused, this means that her sisters are married to Hugh’s sons. Hugh is in love with Rowan, too, but he thinks he is much too old for her. Rowan does not care about the age gap. Will she be able to convince Hugh to give love a chance?
The age gap is huge, and it is hard for me to get past that one. It is true that love does not understand age. I just kept thinking … When Rowan turns sixty, Hugh will be eighty-nine. None of us know how long we will live, but with this huge age gap, the outcome is almost certain. Don’t be like me. Enjoy the book for what it is. Two people love one another a great deal. Age shouldn't matter. Besides the romance and angst, the story has deadly danger. In the beginning, Rowan gets shot and lives to tell the tale. Then, danger comes from an unexpected source. I did find this story to be entertaining and would recommend it.
Wow, what a conclusion to the story of the Byrne sisters and their men! So many twists and turns and upheavals! It was so moving and emotional. Rowan and Hugh are great characters. I love a good and spicy age-gap romantic story and this one just delivered! The story is captivating and compelling, spicy and unpredictable. The world-building is intricate and there is a lot of attention to detail. The characters are wonderful and complex. The book is a page-turner with a beautiful HEA!.

What a finish! Although I can see many spin offs to this wonderful trilogy! Diana and this twin brother?? And Jo’s story too! I truly enjoyed diving into the lives of the Byrnes and O’Faulans (sp)! I looked forward to these ARCs as soon as they were available for me to read! A lovely family coming together and each finding their forever with plot twists that will make you gasp and wonder where it came from! I look forward to more works by this author!
I have been anxiously waiting for this one and it blew away my expectations! I'm going to miss these characters. I adored Rowan and Hugh grabbed my heart. The end got me excited for what comes next from this author! This series has do many elements to love. Sexy romance, tons of heart, a bit of suspense, humor, and great HEAPS.

I loved this entire series. However Rowan & Hugh's was my favorite book. The drama, sexiness & Rowan almost being killed twice was a joy ride for me. The way the 2 families loved each and their wives was special. So glad Hugh got his act together. Now I can't wait to find out what's the problem with Thomas and why he pushed Jo away.
While I enjoyed the previous two books in this series, this genre I don't ever read. A 39 year age gap is so close to perverted, couldn't read it. Besides, I did read the last chapter and the epilogue for clues to a new book, the mmc is so childish. Your other books are good and enjoyable, this one, for me, is a flop.
