Rate this book
Amber Jennings, a small-town girl from the mountains of North Carolina, is seeking a safe haven following the tragic death of her fiancé. Newly arrived in sunny San Diego, she snags the job of a lifetime, secretary to handsome, high-powered Anton Pasetti, owner of a successful modeling agency.

But faster than the snap of a shutter, Amber begins to doubt her decision. Not only does Anton mock her southern heritage and upbringing, including her Christian principles she cherishes, he also believes her motives for working for him are less than pure.

And he may be right. As Amber becomes the latest muse of Paris fashion, will her growing feeling for Anton become as passe as last season's couture?

The basic plot is that Amber Jennings, a small-town girl, moves to San Diego to start over after the unexpected death of her fiancé.

I've read a number of other "Heartsong Presents" novels, so I had an idea of what this one would be like. This is a very light read. I gave it only two stars because of the main character, Amber. I didn't like her.

Was planning to give it a 3 as a fun candy book...but the end was SO ridiculous...suddenly all fixed in a page...I had to give it 2 stars.
