Sergeant Rampon Molwynog is a Cero soldier assigned to protect the prince and the prince's mission to bring aid to the humans of Earth...even if some of the humans keep resisting those efforts. While on a team investigating a recent rash of break-ins at nanobot distribution centers, Rampon is accidentally abducted by the perpetrators. Knowing his team will find him shortly and not looking forward to explaining what happened, he's taking a much-needed break while waiting for rescue.
Quincy Boone is a Marine without a mission and half a leg who happens to overhear that some local boys captured an alien. Not willing to let that go, Quincy finds where they're holding the big lizard and helps free him. It's while they're hiding out in Quincy's basement that curiosities come out and things get x-rated. Then the bad guys show up at Quincy's door and send the pair on a high speed chase to get away.
When the dust finally settles on their adventures, will these two soldiers have what it takes to stay together, even if it means one of them gives up everything else in his life?
Captured by the Dragon Warrior features an anthropomorphic lizard as an alien, hurt/comfort themes, a self-thrusting peen, abduction and rescue, military service, overcoming bad actors who can't accept help from aliens, and a HEA. This is the fourth in a planned 6-book series featuring different couples that should be read in order.
Well, this book four and it was interesting. I really enjoyed it, it was one of my favorites in the series in fact. I’m off to read the fifth book. There is a new development now an island is open to the aliens I can’t wait.
I did not enjoy the beginning of this book but the rest wasn’t so bad.
The abduction and rescue mission were neither detailed enough nor logical and the instant attraction and the resulting first scene between the characters seemed unrealistic — even for this kind of romance. Probably because of the plot too. Bottom line is that I didn’t like the first few chapters.
But like I said, the rest wasn’t bad at all and I genuinely enjoyed the characters and the rest of the plot.
I love this series so, so much! Asking consent is sexy, and all the characters in the series do it, and repeatedly too!
I like the overarching story as well. It has minimal angst (if any) but is still fun to read. There's nuances between each species, so there's something new to learn every book. This is the series I keep coming back to for those few hours of feel-good reading.
Quincy and Ram were both just the sweetest marshmallows. And the "misunderstandings" that happened in the book were handled humorously, instead of turned into infuriating chapters plot-carrying drama.
I know alien species can be an acquired taste, but if you're into it, this series is a must-read!
I didn't think I would at first. I mean anthropomorphic alien cats, dogs and other creatures? Usually not my thing. I mean the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland creeped me out.
But I found I really do love this series. It's light hearted, fun and interesting. The copious sex scenes are hot (and so ingenious how the author keeps coming up with new peens, sheaths..etc). This one is about an alien "dragon" and the his human mate. The author also came up with a cool way to explain how these aliens can spit fire but fire is their nemesis too. Very cool.
I purchased a copy direct from Delaney so I could read it a week early before the Amazon release.
I love these books so much and hope she never stops writing them. I blew through the book in 24hrs and am sad now that I got to wait until August for the next one 😆🤣.Being a veteran myself, I loved one character being a veteran. And his his mate being so cool like a certain mythical creature was a bonus.
I've been waiting patiently for this one to come out and it's finally here! I find the overarching plot of this series fascinating, along with the author subtly touching on a lot of issues plaguing our world today. I was curious about Rampon and his Cero nature from the beginning so I'm glad he found a mate in Quincy. I know most of these are definitely insta-lovey but this one was even more so, with Quincy basically dropping his pants after "rescuing" Rampon from that storage facility. Despite that, they ran into a lot more trouble than some of the other couples. The Cero as a race have a strong aversion to fire, and for good reason. The scene with both of them ripping Rampon's arm clean off was a bit horrifying, but I'm glad nothing else happened to either of them. We didn't get anything regarding public reaction to Quincy and Rampon leaving Earth, so that was left a bit open-ended. Otherwise this was a great continuation of this series. I'm still hoping that by the end of this we get to see some baby Yooks, Lagos and Khesses (by artificial means of course). I'm hoping Seiwa is after the doctor as well.

I like that we had more going on but beside putting the guys who abducted Ram nothing really got solved. We went from shop investigation to spicy scenes and never went back to investigating. Although now that I think about it Murray and friends robbed the shop Ram was investigating. So I guess that mission was solved.
I dont really feel like the human side of the relationship developed, Quincy does mention that Ram thoughfull and would never take adventage of him and he doesnt care about his disability but feelings didnt feel like were developed as much. On Ram's side "he is my mate I'm all in, when is the wedding" so not much developent need on his side, but he does feel afraid that without long courtship he will leave him. He will try anything to woo him but they just f for 3 days straight sooo.
I had a problem with 2nd cuz it had no plot beside the sex but tge feelings were developed in that one. Now in this one plot was happening but feelings were lookwarm at best.
Wow, I can't say enough about this book, it was awesome from start to finish! I wanna give props to Delaney for including a character with a disability that wasn't "fixed" by the nanotechnology. I enjoyed seeing representation "in the wild" as it were.
The love story was the sort of sweet insta-love that you would expect from characters that know their mates at first scent, but there was a callout to the humans reservation (although little came of that, because smexy-times make everything better!). I can't wait to read the next in this series!!
Rampon with his team are investigating some distribution centers that have been vandalized when they are ambushed and he manages to get knocked out and abducted. Quincy, not realising Rampon doesn’t actually need the help, comes to rescue him and takes him to his house to hide out. Rampon only going with him as he instantly knew by Quincy’s scent that he is his mate.
I really like this series, it’s so cute and sweet and just classic fated mates tales with animal like aliens. Great spice, tons of cuteness and an interesting over arching story!
We barely see any characters besides 1-2 times for short amounts. We don’t meet Rampon’s family at all. I barely feel like I know these characters’ personalities. Book was focused on a lot of steam and not much plot. The epilogue was nice. I mean this was short and enjoyable but I really didn’t feel like I learned much about Norlons, the characters, etc. Maybe 3 out of 5 stars?
Example of typo: “Come to think of it, I thought maybe I’d heard somewhere that calling any of them tigers, wolves, and lizards might offensive.” - 50%
These Furry Alien Mates books are such a wonderful guilty pleasure to read. They are short (75 minutes) but still bring a complete story with full plot and character development. Lots of action and spicy times in this episode. I’m excited that there was a setup for another book in this series coming next. The following was my favorite quote from the book:
Fated mates sounded like he was ready for marriage, while I was on our first date.
Let me start with saying that the first few chapters were a bit out there. Insta-lust is a thing, but...yeah, we readers should be happy they had themselves under control until they actually were away from the abductors, which took no time at all.
That being said, the second half it better than the first as there is actual plot happening which my sci-fi starved heart gobbled up.
This might be my favorite from the series so far. It was so sweet and the characters are both endearing. I really love reading about all the different Norlons! It was just a quick, happy read about love and acceptance.
Two wounded warriors different species finding each other and loving, well who woulda thunk it possible, this author that's who! Great read I'm still laughing about the six foot marine "saving" the seven foot Norlon and the fire breathing part just WHEW
This whole series is amazing! Every story is amazing in its own right, this one made me cry so much, just because of all the emotional moments, and I love a underdog story
I loved the previous titles but this one didn’t do it for me even though I can’t really explain why. Less heat? The story was less interesting? The 2 MC were flat?
And the story with the prosthetic leg and amputated arm was a bit too much IMO.
I almost gave up on this series after the last book, but decided to give this one a try, because dragons 😊 And no, not *really* dragons, but I did like Rampon and the story was engaging enough to get me through to the end.
… and now I need to read the first three of the Norland books. Solid world building which I suspect will make even more sense after I circle back to the earlier. Recommended.
This had a lot more action-y vibes to it than the previous one and I really liked that about it. The attraction between them also felt a lot more natural to me.
I am so in love with this series! What I loved most about this one, is the main character,Quincy, is an ex marine and amputee who does not let anything stop him from doing the right thing. He does not hesitate to rescue a hostage alien. On to the next book!
I'm obsessed by this whole series so far! Absolutely loving the different alien species and the different everything between each of the books.
In this one, I really appreciated another insight on what some of the humans really are thinking about what the delegation is REALLY doing at earth haha.
