This book was absolutely, deliciously, steamy! If you love a FMC who’s independent, stubborn, no filter, absolutely fearless, has a mouth that’ll make you slowly back away, and not scared to get bloody and slice a person up for those she loves, then Wrens your gal. And an MMC who’s so alpha, hot, wicked sense of humor and knows how to handle an alpha female, with his hands and mouth 🥵, then Dimitri is your man. Both are too stubborn to realize what they have and what they feel for each other is real. Wren is confused and scared and has Dimitri all twisted up and trying to deny what’s really going on is more than a one night, two night, stand. He’s so possessive over Wren and even though he tries to stay away, he’s back for more and she’s instigating it. And there’s a plot twist that will have you reeling and rushing to find out what happens next. This book is part of a series and can be read as a standalone but is better understood if you read the first book this series, The Oath of Seduce.

I could not put it down! Wren and D! What a couple! They go through so much together, yet for all that I was surprised that Wren kept holding back! I kept waiting to see when she would let go! And D went through so much! How many times can a guy go through the ultimate and make it through to the other side! So much ! So many ways misunderstandings stand in their way! On top of that, there’s danger around every corner, making their relationship even harder! Wren fights for her family, herself, and her sanity. Is it enough? Read it! You just have to!

The Perfect Storm
What Dimitri and Wren have is so all consuming and raw. When they are thrown back together it’s as if the missing pieces in them are filled. They will weather whatever is thrown at them to be in each other’s arms again. Because they are meant to be. And nothing will stop them, not even themselves.

Dimitri Orlov was a Russian mafia man. Wren is a feisty girl who got caught in danger and was saved by him. The two personalities are both strong and clash. But..there is some passion. Things go bad and Wren leaves with a bun in the oven. She tries to shield her son from him. He didn’t know. Circumstances bring them together. See how two strong personalities try to work things out. It is a good mafia romance. I received an ARC copy and this is my honest review.

Story is original but I felt there was a void when you jumped to '3 years later'. I would have liked some angst on how Wren battled with a new born after a heartbreak thinking D ghosted her and how D coped after he came out of his coma to not finding Wren.

This book caught me from the beginning and dragged me willy-nilly into the lives of Wren and Dimitri. They were both cautious, guarded, and in denial about what they were feeling. Wren, struggling to just survive and stay afloat, while trying to take care of her 2 siblings. Dimitri, a lone wolf managing his men with his Pakhan on a hiatus to Hawaii. Dimitri thinks love has softened his boss and made him weak. We see that D cannot stand to be near the slimy politician he brings to the club where Wren dances. He realizes he recognizes Wren after their meeting 2 years ago. He had never forgotten her he acknowledges to himself.
This story continues to build as the 2 of them continue to run into each other. She is trying to deny the effect he has on her as he struggles to deny how much he continues to want her, and despite telling himself it will go nowhere... they cannot stay away
The story and twists continue as a previous evil re-enters their lives affecting their whole world..

[ ] The original Ivankov Bratva 3-part series [now available as one book; The Oath of Seduce] was very entertaining for the most part, but I was keen to know more about the secondary characters of Wren & Dimitri and was left wanting more of them in the books, so I was obviously beyond thrilled to see them take the leading roles here in this book - and it is around the same length as a typical duology from this author.
Going into this review; I'm trying to be firm & think more critically about the characters and plot. First things first; Wren makes for a very modern heroine; she isn't a coward, isn't shy, isn't ashamed about her sexual experiences, and she is very streetwise. She isn't anyone's doormat, for sure.
Dimitri is very confident and strong willed. His actions & the things he says aren't always likable, but they fit his personality and position very well. It makes the kindness he sometimes let slip more inpactful.
The Bratva family rivalry is very intense and the scheming, infighting & plotting this involved is totally gripping. Mixed together with the dark romance elements, the humour, the soap opera levels of drama combine to make this impossible to put down.
I definitely was NOT left wanting more from the story this time. Highly recommended

This was such a steamy and exciting read. Wren is strong, independent, hardworking, very protective of her siblings and fierce, to be fair she’s had to be as she’s the main breadwinner of the family due to a lack of mother and an alcoholic father, she’s had such a tough life my heart broke for her. When she finds herself in trouble due to her fathers debts she’s rescued and reacquainted with Dimitry who has also endured hardships, he’s closed off, violent, hard and angry most of the time but there’s something about Wren that brings out his protective side. Their chemistry is undeniable but neither want to admit to being attracted to each other so just embark on a ons that lasts more than that! There are enemies out there who want to harm them, when they do, all hell breaks loose. Wrens life is about to change dramatically but rather than confront D she disappears, not realising D has issues of his own. Years pass and Wren returns to Chicago when her father and sister are missing but she’s not alone, how will D react and are feelings still there? This was exhilarating, page turning and so blooming steamy I loved it. I thought Luka was special but Dimitry was another level. Fantastic read.

I really enjoyed Wren and Dimitri characters in the Ivankov Legacy. It's well written, sets a good pace and has an "opps baby trope" that was actually good. I have grown tired of the surprise pregnancy in this genre but found this one was interesting and captivating. I liked Wren's strength and felt that she was a very good mom. She's rough around the edges but you can see her character's progression as the story unfolds. She and Dimitri's attraction is very hot, even three years later. I wish she had told him that she was pregnant before fleeing and merely stated her case that his lifestyle wasn't for her. As it turns out, she eventually fits in Dimitri's world just fine.
Dimitri's character progressed nicely throughout this book. He not only grows as a man but as a leader. I enjoy this author's writing because I like balance in a book, and she provides that in many of her stories. She is able to bring in the criminal element as well as a strong attraction between the two main characters. I visualize it as a being able to keep several balls in the air at the same time, which she does so well.
A good plot, with solid characters, originality and a great array of secondary characters.

This story is hot,intense, five alarm fire! Wren just barely getting buy,drunken father, two siblings to is raising and trying to hold down two jobs,she runs into Dimitri who she wants nothing to do with. Her father gets into serious trouble and she comes under Dimitri 's radar again.But now he fines out there is a gang out for him but they after her to get to him. So they finally hook up off and on and they are still watching out for that gang.But Dimitri gets hurt badly and ends up ghosting Wren and she feels hurt and abandoned. She takes off but soon fines out that someone has grab her sister and father and she has to go back three years later.They come across Dimitri and his group when they try to rescue Wren and her family and Dimitri fines out that Wren has been hiding a small secret! This story doesn't let you down,it goes thru alot of ups and a few downs,one almost costly but it has a happy ended!I like this story alot but I can't make out some Russian words,I wish if they are saying them in Russian, the English version would follow.

I love reading about the Bravata. This series in particular. Three men survive as brothers. In book one Luca retires and Dietrich takes the forefront of the Bravata. He is big and tough. He fight MMA for fun. He thinks his past has made him lose all feelings of love. Wren becomes his weakness. He is captivated by her tough sassy behavior and her soft curves. This is their push and pull of a love story. It is not for the faint of heart. It is filled with violence and death. She became a target because of his obsession for her. . This is a different kind of love story. They each have to define love first and how to deal with such foreign emotions. I enjoyed their journey very much. I love the way Mya Gray develops her characters they are a complex. I would give this book more than 5 stars if possible.

This is the second book in the Ivankov Legacy series, and it does not disappoint. Dimitri has taken over things while Luka is in Hawaii with his wife, Sophia, and child. He and Erik are taking care of business. D is the enforcer. Erik is more of the schmoozer. Wren is Sophia best friend, and she doesn't take wrap from anyone. Wren is working three jobs to take care of her half siblings and her Dad, who's a drunk. D catches up with her when she is at her strpping job, and he is shocked to see her. There has been a bond between them ever since Sophia and Luka's wedding.
Wren decides to scratch her itch with Dimitri, and it is the start of a roller coaster ride of a story. Lots of twists and turns that keep you reading to the very last page. Enjoy.

This book is fast paced and hard to put down. Wren and Dimitri have a past together. Every time they touch each other the chemistry is electrifying. They spend five nights together and Wren ends up pregnant. She decides to run instead of telling Dimitri. But let’s be truthful the past never stays in the past. Wicked Elena has kidnapped Wrens stepsister and dad to get back at Dimitri. Elena kidnaps Wren and Alex her son. During the shootout Wren throws her son to Dimitri and he catches Alex. Elena gives a choice kill his family or him? How does Dimitri feel about the son he has never met? Does Alex die? Will Wren and Dimitri ever have a life together? Read the book to find out how it ends.

October 27, 2024Dimitri is second in command of the Russian Mafia in Chicago. He knows Wren since she is the best friend of Sophia who is married to Luka (the boss and lives in Hawaii). He can't seem to get Wren out of his mind and is constantly looking for her or saving her. Wren is surviving and is supporting her brother and sister, since her father is a drunk. The story is about how she is keeping her siblings and herself ouy of trouble and how her heart is falling for Dimitri. The book had me laughing and crying. A must read.

This is the second book in the Ivankov Legacy series. Dimitri and Wren are perfect together. He’s the typical mafia, alpha, possessive male. And she’s So feisty and strong. Their chemistry is undeniable and hot! This amazing, well written story had me thoroughly hooked all the way from start to finish. It’s very emotional and at one point near the end, (no spoilers) I was crying out loud! Mya Grey has become one of my top ten fave authors with this series. This is a fantastic must-read.

What can I say? The Thorns of Seduce book 2 is an action packed, suspenseful, emotional and super steamy book. Both main characters have had horrible childhoods and have closed themselves off so a lot of walls need to come down as a mob war rages. Did I mention it was super steamy yes I did but it bares repeating lol. Get a fan ready and maybe a towel. You really don’t want to miss out on this one. I should also mention this can be read as a stand-alone so don’t let the fact you haven’t read book one stop you from reading this great book.

Did not like this book
It had everything that I did not like in a book. I just didn’t want to dnf just incase it got better but no it didn’t. Too much cursing. Too much sex. He found out about his kids basically at the end of the book and it was rushed. Did not like the h. Tried to make her ballsy but she came off as brash. Worst of all using the Lord’s name as a curse word. For me that always automatically knock the stars off… if I could I would give zero stars for this insult alone🙄 Do better Mya Grey
It had everything that I did not like in a book. I just didn’t want to dnf just incase it got better but no it didn’t. Too much cursing. Too much sex. He found out about his kids basically at the end of the book and it was rushed. Did not like the h. Tried to make her ballsy but she came off as brash. Worst of all using the Lord’s name as a curse word. For me that always automatically knock the stars off… if I could I would give zero stars for this insult alone🙄 Do better Mya Grey

Wow this is book #2 and I am going to read #1! This is not an easy read it is hot and intence Wren the FMC has the heart of an angle she has it tough and has taken on the responcibility of her half sibs. she is amazing she is tough and does what she has to. The MMC is a sweet heart under a layer of tough armor! they both have been though a lot they need to learn to trust and lean on eachother it is a wild ride that will keep you turning pages.

I can’t fall for Wren, I will look weak!!
Wren thinks I deserted her. But I had been shot again and was in a coma. Week later when I woke up, she was long gone. I ripped the city apart. Years later Wren returns to Chicago to help her sister and father get away from the mob. Great store!! So, many twists and turns, heartache, fear, trauma and a really big surprise. I am sure you will love this book as much as I did!!!!

One of the best books I have ever read. I could not put it down, stayed up all night reading. It kept me enthralled! D and Wren are perfect for each other. Had just the right amount of steam. I would highly recommend this book. A great story line and a HEA ending…what more could a girl ask for. :-) ❤️

I just love this authors work, she blows me away with all her storytelling and how she makes us feel.
Dimitri and Wren are super enticing in this dangerous captivating story of family and relationship and hidden secrets with danger all around them. You have to read this great story.

The story about Dimitry was an enjoyable read, though not quite as captivating as the first book in the series. The narrative contained more conflict and tension, which kept the reader engaged, but at times it felt overly drawn out. Despite these minor shortcomings, the overall style and storytelling remained strong.

I couldn't put this book down, it was thrilling steamy and just full of hope and wishing that D and Wren would get the HEA. Absolutely brilliant.

Fabulous book. Loved every bit of it. Started it last night and when I looked up it was after 1:00 am. Dimitri and Wren are great characters. There’s lots of intrigue and action and the sex is HOT. I can’t wait for Eric’s book. I love Mya Greys books.
