Midnight Mayhem

Rate this book
The jaw-dropping conclusion to the bestselling Clover Pack Series!

Friends. Family. Mate.

After living most of my life on the run, I’ve finally found a place I belong. A place to call home, with a mate bond I never expected to have. I’d love nothing more than to enjoy it.

But Queen Tantaii won’t rest until she gets what she wants, the ancient ring that will give her the power to destroy the mortal realm, and everyone in it.

And I have it.

I know she’s lurking, biding her time in the shadows for the perfect moment to strike. She’s the mother from hell, and she knows exactly where to strike to hurt me the most.

But her plan won’t work.

I’m done running. I’m done hiding.

I’ll take the fight to her, and end this. Once and for all.

An adventurous ending of this series. Overall it had a good plot but still I believe that the writing could take some improvements.

The epic conclusion to The Clover Pack Trilogy is finally here. And what a ride it has been! Savannah absolutely killed it with this series! This was my favorite shifter series by far. The characters, the hardships, world building, emotions, etc; Savannah did it all. I’m sad it’s officially over but I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. Thank you for bringing Rowan’s story to life. I fell in love with this world and all your characters you did an amazing job portraying them! I definitely will be rereading them time and time again and I will keep recommending this series because I loved it 🥰

Was it predictable? Yes. Was it way too cheesy and did it include literally every single trope? Also yes. Could the author learn to write and execute all of this a bit better? Very much so.

But by god, would I be lying if I didnt enjoy it.
I wanted easy reading with my brain turned all the way off and Savannah delivered.

Adjust your expectations and you will love this fun series :)

What a great conclusion to the series! Again, this book has action, love, spice, humor, twists and turns that make for a great shifter read. I loved the character development, especially with Rowan and Callan and their mate bond. The spicy scenes were well written and the chemistry was amazing! The battle scenes were awesome and had me holding my breath a few times! All in all, I have really enjoyed this trilogy and thank Savannah Lee for allowing me to arc read this series!

Ahhh! Could not have asked for a better end to this trilogy! Rowan is strong and courageous and more than committed to righting the mistakes of her past even at the cost of her own life. I love her loyalty and devotion to her friends/lover/pack - Lee gives us a HEA, but not before weaving in all the action, grief/loss, unexpected twists, steamy spicy romance, and acceptance of who we are and can be first!! Can't wait to see what other works she brings to the table!

Had me on the EDGE of my seat 👀 Callan and Rowan’s love story has really gone the distance. I truly love this book and feel this is some of Sav’s best work! If you are looking for a series that is based around Romantasy with shifters and fae there’s so much to love about the Clover Pack Trilogy.

This is my favorite because it had EVERYTHING you could need to tie everything up, there was heartbreak, there was love, there was drama, I couldn’t put it down it was incredible! So many great quotes ✨ The humor amongst species is hilarious in this book. LMAO I especially loved “same shit, different realm” from Varus that cheeky fella 😂

Fated mates. Shifters. Fae. Representation. Found family. Butt stuff. This book had it all.

I stumbled upon this series on Kindle and was immediately obsessed. The slow burn romance in the first two was to die for, and they wasted NO TIME gettin spicy in the third book.

Callan is bae. We love a moody shifter 👏🏼
And Rowan is such a boss.

As an ARC reader (thank you, Savannah!) I don’t want to spoil anything, but there were some deaths that will haunt me. And some that were 100% deserved.

Also minor spoiler this book contains same-sex mates which I’ve never seen before (maybe I’m not looking in the right places?) but it was beautiful to see, and I hope more authors consider being more inclusive.

I can’t wait to read Savannah’s work going forward!

Holy shit ball, we made it to the end! (Thank you Savannah, I will be using that quote for the rest of my life 😂) I finally got the third installment of the clover pack and I am LIVID!! Allow me to explain before everyone goes up in arms.

Ok if you haven’t read the first two books, go sit in a comfy spot with a nice drinkity drink and come back when you’re finished. Okie? Okie. NOW Rowan has never had a place to call home for as long as she can remember, is now slapped with a mated bond she least expected (but come now, we all knew broody handsome panther was end game right?). Queen Tantaii is queen 🐝 and use to getting exactly what she wants. But Rowan won’t let that happen 🫰 ANYWHO

1) Savannah, you did NOT have to do us dirty like that mmkay? Like didn’t think I’d want to say it for book 3 but #JusticeForYOUKNOWWHOSAVANNAH
2) I knew, I KNEW Rowan was gonna do some DUMB shit and it still surprised me and angered me…we also knew she couldn’t keep that promise to Callan. Like homegirl had her fingers crossed behind her back when she made that promise
3) IM STILL ANGRY FROM THE DOG EARED PAGES (I understand not everyone has the same views on dog eared pages as I do, I am not shaming anyone for their preferences…let’s just not talk about it 🥲)

Kk, so overall, very enjoyable. Finally getting the not so happily ever after (I say bc my heart still hurts from Evie and now this) reading it all together as if it were one huge SJM book I think made it more enjoyable altogether (I know that couldn’t be helped before but having the chance now 🤷🏻‍♀️) you get LGBTQIA+ (forgive me if I f-ed that up) representation, bloody deaths (both satisfying and unsatisfying), and most importantly, happy, blissful, mated sex 🥵 (do not read if you do not like some sex scenes). Thank you Savannah for giving me an easy to follow fantasy world with literally the cutest image for a bunny and panther shifter (I can’t imagine Callan as anything but a baby panther 😂)

Love you even if you do dog ear your pages 😉😘 thank you for letting me ARC read your Clover Pack Series from the beginning

Ahhhhh what a lovely ending to this trilogy! I don't want to spoil it as an early ARC reader where others will potentially get spoiled but Savannah didn't disappoint with the ending. There is a lovely bow tied at the end of this storyline and along the way there are exciting battles and tense situations that keep the reader on the edge of their seat!
I enjoyed getting to revisit some of the Fae realm characters we were introduced to in book 2, and I loved the in depth resolution the reader gets provided in this third installment. We have come a long way since the first book!
For this book in particular there are a couple of steamy scenes - it's not super smutty but there is a lot going on in the storyline to keep the reader interested throughout. I enjoy my smut but I still enjoyed this book despite it being less smutty than the other books I read.
The world building was already well established from the first books - but the resolution in this third book wraps up the issues that were outstanding in the realms.
Overall this book is a solid 4.5-5⭐'s, I have enjoyed this series throughout and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to be an ARC reader - thank you!

"Make no mistake, Rowan. You are mine, in every sense of the word. Mine," he growled deep in his throat, before crushing his lips to mine, and I lost myself in him."

5 stars!

Holy hell, what a finale! This series kept me fully entranced from the very first sentence when we first meet Rowan; she was an absolutely hilarious and spunky heroine that I loved following along as she slowly found her strength and purpose. Her thoughts and interactions with the other characters were so brilliant, especially her connection with Callan.

The tension and passion between them was so freaking hot, particularly when his domineering side takes control. I'm officially adding him to my book boyfriend collection! I also loved all of the side characters we meet as they connect with Rowan and decide to fight for her cause. Every one of them was so unique and wormed their way into my heart, and I couldn't help but cheer and cry alongside them. This series has quickly become one of my favorites as the writing was so seamless and the plot immensely enjoyable, and I cannot wait for more by Savannah Lee🖤

Tropes: fated mates, hate-to-love-you, grumpy/sunshine, hidden identity, alpha jp hero, sassy heroine, forbidden love, forced proximity, found family, bodyguard hero, hidden fae world, slow burn, mating frenzy, STEAMY🔥

My Callan, the surly yet protective panther shifter determined to protect the annoying yet irresistible rabbit shifter...

I have really loved this series! Quite possibly my favorite thing is that these books are so quick and easy to read. They are fast paced, lots of action, lots of tension and perfect for when I need to get out of a reading slump. The characters are all pretty great, and the overarching story pulls you in until the end. Rowan and Callan's hea is hard won and so worth the wait. And I so enjoyed their spicy times! I loved how everything came together for these characters, except for one (Savannah you tore my heart out with that one), and I especially loved that our villain got what they deserved. All of our questions were answered, and then some! I loved how Savannah left us with the feeling that these characters are still out there living their lives to the fullest. It didn't feel like a sad good-bye for me because Savannah really ended everything with a high note. I definitely recommend this series!

Midnight Mayhem is action packed and filled with drama. If I wasn’t already in love with Callan from the first two books, I was in this book! “Make no mistake Rowan. You are mine, in every sense of the word. Mine.” Ugh…. Swoon!!! This book has almost everything you would expect from a great fantasy novel and I was blessed to be allowed to read an arc copy. This was such a great trilogy. I look forward to reading more of her work.

I loved this trilogy so much!!! I read each book so quickly and could not put them down. Watching Rowan grow throughout these books was amazing and thank goodness for this ending. I shed some tears along the way but don’t want to post any spoilers so if you have read this series and are ready for book 3 just be prepared. Savannah may deliver a HEA but not without heartbreak. Thanks for the eARC from the author I so enjoyed going on this journey!!

As a very prolific reader, I both love and hate series enders. I love that we might get something even better, but I hate that I’ll miss the characters. I am definitely going to miss Rowan and Callan. But this series ender was a great conclusion. It had action (of both kinds), tears, laughter, and most of all a definite happily ever after. This has great writing, and while I will miss all of these characters, I’m looking forward to whatever the author has in store for us next. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

What a fantastic end to the trilogy! Book 3 started off right back into the action and it didn’t stop. I loved all the details and variety of true mates that were shown throughout the book. Our girl Rowan has grown so much since book one but she’s still a dumbie sometimes. Finally seeing her and Callan together was the best.

After all the twists and turns I’m happy with how the story ended.

Thanks to Savannah for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The final book in the trilogy did not disappoint. The action was done well, so you weren’t always sure what was going to happen. The losses were heartbreaking and the love throughout helped to mend the heart break. I was so happy to see the not so baby cheagle make an appearance again. There was one part of the book that I cried because, well you’ll have to read it. No spoilers here. I’m so glad that I went on this journey with Rowan and Callan.

I loved the first 2 books I basically stalked the author to try get me hands on an ARC copy. I’m in the middle of the study semester so didn’t get to demolish it as quickly but was so so happy to be back in the world!! I loved all the characters, and glad Savannah made sure even Oliver got a happy ending. I didn’t want this series to end and I feel like it’s such an awesome world I wish I could explore it more, but the story was tied up so nicely and it was such a nice ending to the trilogy!!

Omg what an ending to a fanatic series. So much fun to follow Rowan on her journey of self discovery and all the adventures they have along the way... So very glad I started this series and hoping we haven't seen the last of the Clover/Nexus Packs.
I know a certain bear shifter named Wolfe that needs his own story told...

WOW!

What a perfect ending to an amazing series. I live for HEAs and could not be happier with this book. I recieved an ARC and was so excited to read the final book a bit early because the last two blew me out of the water. All responsibility was put to the side so I could finish this book and I’m so sad I didn’t stall so the book didn’t end. I can’t wait to see what else Savannah comes up with.

“A bond that transcends realms and lifetimes, a bond broken only in death. Written in the stars, and woven by fate.”

I am always astonished at how much action Savannah can pack into relatively short books while maintaining a level of detail that you would expect from a fantasy book twice its size. Sucking you in to these storylines and investing your heart into these relationships like you’re part of their little found family.

Every time I thought I had it figured out, a new twist popped up. She kept me guessing through the whole series. I was so thrilled at how everything worked out for Rowan, Callan, and all the other characters who made this story so unique. What a beautiful way to wrap up the Clover Pack Series.

I received a complementary advanced review copy of this book and I am leaving my honest review voluntarily.

A perfect way to end the series! I was so excited to dive back into this world and I really enjoyed being back. With the shifter and fae worlds continuing it blend together, we get to see our favs fight to save these worlds amidst struggles for power and family dynamics.

Rowan and Callan were, of course, perfection and it was so rewarding to see their relationship continue to deepen

There is a lot packed into these 200 pages and nary a dull moment in sight. Surprisingly, though, the story never feels rushed.

There is certainly the opportunity for more stories set in this world, but I was very happy with how things ended up

Thank you so much to Savannah Lee for the opportunity to read and review this ARC!

If I'm honest, this book dragged for me and I tried to get through it as quickly as possible and struggled even doing that. That being said, I don't think it helped that I read the first two books in the series in December 2023 and didn't go back for a refresher at all before reading the finale in December 2024. Therefore, the small bit of excitement that I had when I ended book 2 was just pretty much non-existent.

Spoilers from this point
The plot felt a little eye-roll inducing in parts. There were a lot of overdone cliché moments that were just, in my opinion, unnecessary and didn't really contribute much to the overall storyline. We didn't need another 'true mates' pair and the whole revisiting of a new pair seeing each other in dreams just seemed redundant. The death and revival of Cas was utterly pointless and I think it probably would've worked better if Rowan spared him for Tantaii to just kill him anyway, I would've even preferred a cheesy, cliché character arc for him to then die after 'going to the good side'.

Then, parts that were perhaps actually a little more integral to the actual plot were skirted over quite quickly. The whole shebang with the Supreme Alpha could've been beefed out completely. We could've learned more about his intentions and involvement with the fae/witches or at least made him even more sinister. Instead, we tiptoed on a story line of him abusing his wife and letting the hungry get hungrier without really committing to it. Then, we stumbled upon information for a potential huge fight to occur for Tantaii to attack pre-emptively and take one lowly shifter with her. What was the point? The Alpha fight itself was pretty anti-climatic, too. I would've liked to have actually believed that there was a possibility of Wolfe losing. I also feel like Callan lost everything that made him likable in the first book. I genuinely didn't care if he lived, died, or left to sip Margheritas on a beach.

I also am an avid, passionate hater of a flash-forward for the last chapter of the book. Granted, this one was no where near as bad as others that I've read but I just don't need a 'aw look at the characters being all happily ever after' to feel happy with a book's conclusion and I think it's a cheap way for authors to round off a series. In all honesty, I think I'd prefer a 'they all lived happily ever after'.

Honestly, this is definitely the worst in the series. I wouldn't describe the trilogy as something worth raving about but it also wasn't horrific. However, this definitely wasn't a positive conclusion.

One of the first notes I wrote down while reading this book is “if RowanXCallan has 100 fans, I’m one of them. If RowanXCallan has no fans, I’m dead”, and I feel like that’s a pretty good description of my feelings for this series in general.

I really enjoyed the characters in this series and watching them grow throughout! This author does a really good job at making you care for these characters, whether that’s because she’s about to rip your heart out by killing someone you love (*glares at Savannah Lee. She knows what she’s done.*) or because she’s somehow convinced you to have mixed feelings for someone you thought you hated (???).

I also really loved how the relationship between Rowan and Callan has developed throughout the books, surprising absolutely no one. This is not a constructive point to bring up in a book review (just me yelling into the void), but there’s a scene very early on in this book where Rowan’s packing a suitcase and Callan’s quietly staring at her ass that has me screaming every time I think of it. Just thinking of how far they’ve come since the first book, when they were attracted to each other but couldn’t do anything because they weren’t mates……………………….

*yelling*

I also loved how this book called back to previous books in the series, which really helped show just how far these characters have come! Seeing the allies they’ve made along the way continuing to help, even when readers least expect them to show up? Showing how something seemingly small can amount to so much more??? 👌👌👌

That being said, I do think this book could have benefited from better pacing and a bit more length in general. With so much action going on, there’s no time for readers to take a breath and just enjoy seeing the characters in a way I wish we had gotten. We’re jumping from one major conflict to the next without any time between them, and that felt very overwhelming to read.

With as much as I loved the first two books in this series, I was quite disappointed to find that I felt more neutral about this final book’s plot. While I love the characters and world building Savannah Lee has done in this series, I needed a little more fluff and buildup to this grand final battle before I could absolutely adore this book.

"Finally I was home!" ~ Rowan

OMGGG WHAT A BEAUTIFUL END TO THIS SERIES.
everything was so great and on point.
l read this series almost half a year ago and reading the last book refreshed my memories on another level.
I was in love with Callan right from the damn beginning, protective, possesive, caring, sweet and everything and the savage Rowan! OMG what to say!! A whole new personality of sarcasm and savage.
The part where she killed her own mother (Queen Tantaii) being a very bad thing but in this book, good thing, was a beyond dashing level that had made a successful imagination in my head. I LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK AND THIS SERIES VERY MUCH.
Wolfe had a place in my heart too but it was sad although necessary that he killed his father to have his Throne and seperate reasons behind that.
The way family bonds have been so toxic in this book is great ig? Creates a sense of questioning from the reader's side that why? and the reasons behind it is quite relevant.
The ROMANCE BETWEEN CALLAN AND ROWAN is something I adore. I can't get enough of these two love birds and they are not the cuuchi puuu la la la, they are bold and supportive towards each other and the limited amount of 'I love you's' in this book pretty much shows how much the two characters really value each other.
Also love the side characters, especially Lily, I wish to have a friend like Lily, she's fun and amazing.
Overall, I'm really upset to see this series end but also happy that I had the chance to read it. I've loved the first book which inspired me of course "MEN ARE TRASH" and then the 2nd book about Rowan and her journey to the Queen and then this amazing book. I mean I just cannot let this go. This series is way too dear to me. So thank you Savannah Lee for taking the time and efforts to write this series.
