Well, I’ve finally popped my Cowboy romance read Cherry with this little beauty from Jessica Whaley
There’s a little bit of heartbreak, small town, friendships forged, new start, Magnolia Farm, déjà vu, a grumpy but oh so attractive cowboy, hard work, one bed, found family, secrets revealed, a little bit of kink and a cutie name Tiny!
This was a really sweet read! Tugging at the heartstrings in so many ways but I so enjoyed the ride. On the morning of her wedding, Ivy gets a shock that has her driving till she ends up in a town named Maple where she meets Megan and the wonder that is Magnolia Farm. She dives into this new start and finds a love of the country, the town and the sweet and broody Logan.
There were a few twists and turns that carry you through the story and I love the overall style of Jessica’s writing. Enough back story to keep you in the loop and little teasers to hook you in. I definitely recommend this read and I’m looking forward to more from this author! A fab debut!!
And, I’d just like to point out that Tiny is a horse and is in no way a reference to Logan’s (quite considerable)… package 👍
This book is a small town, farm/cowboy small town romance that definitely had me tearing up at the end. It was a quick read and I enjoyed seeing how the story developed. The banter between Ivy and Logan made me laugh at times and I love the enemies to lovers and one bed tropes this involved. Not to mention, the steamy scenes between them were pretty darn good. There is also an aspect of mystery that is woven into the story as well.
Overall, this book gets 3.75/5 stars from me and will release on May 7th, 2024. Thank you to Jessica Whaley for the ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.
I was utterly captivated by Letters to Magnolia by Jessica Whaley, the enchanting first installment in The Maple Small Town Romance Series.
This novel is a heart-stirring journey filled with unexpected twists and the sweetest of romances. Ivy Price's story, from her disillusioning breakup to her serendipitous escape to a rustic farm, is beautifully written with a blend of adventure, suspense, and a dash of mystery. Whaley masterfully weaves a tale of self-discovery and second chances that will have you rooting for Ivy as she navigates her way through life's hurdles toward a well-deserved happily ever after.
The vivid settings and charming characters are so engaging that I felt transported right into the heart of Maple. The connection between Ivy and the brooding cowboy is electrifying, filled with moments that are as tender as they are transformative. Letters to Magnolia is more than just a romance; it's a journey of finding oneself and forging a new path against all odds.
If you're seeking a story that offers both warmth and excitement, with characters that linger in your mind long after the last page, then look no further. Jessica Whaley's Letters to Magnolia promises and delivers a truly immersive experience. Dive in and let Ivy’s journey inspire you to chase your dreams—wherever they may lead!
This book gives you the small town, country romance feels with some major life curve balls that most of us can relate to one way or another. It will make you laugh, inspire you, and may make you cry too.
Ivy gets a major curve ball the morning of her wedding, finding her fiancé cheating on her with none other than her sister. She immediately gets into her car and drives for miles until she lands in a town called Maple. She befriends the waitress at the restaurant, who brings her back to her grandmother's horse ranch, offering her a job and a place to live. She meets a grumpy farmer named Logan, who shows her how a real man treats his women. Through lots of curve balls, healing, growing friendships and relationship, new jobs, and the mystery of the farm, Ivy grows and finds her new home.
Logan is a hardworking farmer who takes a quick liking to Ivy. He is not afraid to shed some tears and be vulnerable - a true man! He also shows Ivy what it is like to be with a real man, and there are some spicy scenes there!
LTM was a great read, very easy to get into, and the story, character development, and mystery kept my attention, wanting to know what happens. I loved the banter between Ivy and Logan, as well as Megan and her younger brother Collin. And Grandma's advice to Ivy about when a man should only make you cry - I agree! Haha. This book made me want to hop into the story and visit the ranch myself. :)
I am honored to have been chosen to be an ARC reader - thank you, Jessica! The book comes out on May 7th!
Letters to Magnolia is a cute small town, found family romance with a broken hearted FMC and a MMC that is named Logan -MR. Different personalities. Their banter made me giggle so much. The small town vibes that were radiating throughout the book made me want to go visit and possible move to a ranch.
Ivy found her fiancé the day of the wedding cheating on her..and she got in the car and drove until she was starving. She found a family that took care of her when her own family was no where to be found.
Logan is a grumpy cowboy that believes everything happens for a reason. He truly falls first and hard. Swoon worthy.
“We dodge this curve ball” is one of the best lines in this book and all the characters have found out why it is important to keep going even when life isn’t fair.
Definitely a curve ball or two at the end that made me tear up. 🫶
This was a cute small town romance. 3.5 rounded up since we can’t to half stars on here. Somewhat enemies to lovers. Found family. Hidden past. City girl turned small town farm life, this story had so so much potential with maybe a bit more polishing. I feel like there was so much detail in some areas that really weren’t all that important and not enough details where it could have made a huge impact. There wasn’t any buildup to the relationship so that was a bit disappointing but the relationship itself was a cute and happy ending. The beginning and ending were so strong but the middle just fell a bit flat for me. If your looking for a light read but add some drama and a bit or romance this is definitely worth the read. The FMC wasn’t my favorite but I LOVED all the other characters it definitely made up for it.
Such a heartwarming story with many a curve ball thrown. I was enthralled in Ivy’s story and deeply moved by her determination and fire. Logan was, of course, an absolute gentleman with quite a fiery side as well. His spicy skills are nothing to shy away from either!
The end of this story had me in tears, both joyous and sorrowful. I can relate to some of the things Ivy endured and it made my heart ache and celebrate with her.
If you love the charm of simple living, the kindness of strangers, and the love that comes from self acceptance and a worthy heart, you will love Letters to Magnolia.
Special shout out to the author, Jessica Whaley for being a good friend even if only through the internet. Love her and love this book!
In Jessica Whaley’s debut romance novel, Letters to Magnolia, Ivy enters into a world she didn’t know she was missing. In this small town romance book there is suspense and thrill with a bit of beauty and love. This book had me wanting more and I just couldn’t put it down. Letters to Magnolia is a page turner asking to be read. I gave this book a 3 star, because there are a few places that I feel were to be sexy and raw but didn’t feel that way. But by the ending it brought it back up for me. If you haven’t read Letters to Magnolia, you should.
ARC reader- fun to be able to help on this first book thank you.
Being from a small town myself, this book stole my heart from chapter 1. Ivy is a city girl, running from her past after finding her soon-to-be husband cheating on her with her sister. She had no clue the life she’d run into. I won’t spoil the rest for you, but as someone who has always felt this way, It is the perfect example that everything happens for a reason. Ivy and Logan’s love story is so fun, beautiful and realistic. Just a few *spicy* scenes to make you blush inside.
Loved the book so much! It’s officially releasing May 7th so be sure to sign up so you won’t miss it. So proud of you, Jess! Happy to be chosen as an arc reader!
This book had me hooked from the beginning. After ivy leaves her life behind with no plan in mind she finds herself helping out a ranch in a small town.
I love how Ivy grows and finds her confidence after being a people pleaser for so long. She finally feels like herself again, and finds comfort in the new life shes building.
The banter and tension between her and Logan was great, and the spice was even better!
There was a mystery component to this book that I couldn’t wait to figure out and I love how it all tied together at the end.
“Nothing’s random”
Cannot wait for book 2! Congratulations Jessica on your debut release 😍
Letters to Magnolia is the cutest and quick feel-good read. Watching the main characters develop throughout the book will bring tears to eyes before readers ever reach the end.
Powerhouse females who quickly become friends, small town and family-oriented farm life, mixed with a little spice here and there, make this story even more engaging! The interpersonal connection between the characters creates moments that will cause readers to not be able to put this book down. And who can forget the love story the author created?
This book is one you will want on your summer reading list!
Letters to magnolia is a city girl meets small town - romance. The FMC is running from an engagement and heartache. Her entire life she’s felt like she didn’t belong and we later figure out why..
The FMC meets a cowboy and he leads her down the path of what true love and living a life worth living is really like. There is angst, excitement and drama. Let’s not forget some spice** too 🤌🏻 Jessica has turned me into a cowboy book loving girlie! And I can’t say I’m mad about it. I’m so excited to read book 2!
I thought this was a cute book for her debut novel. I loved how it was going at first the drama and everything. As I was reading more it seemed to bounce a lot for me, going back and forth and at some parts seemed rushed. Like the relationship with her and Logan was kinda insta-love vibes for me. The sad parts were so emotional I did tear up a bit reading those scenes. I can't wait to see what happens in book 2!
This was such a sweet story. It starts out with all the drama and then keeps that same fast pace throughout the whole story. In places it feels a little rushed but overall I enjoyed the story. I hope to see more of Ivy and Logan in the next book.
I am absolutely obsessed with Letters to Magnolia. I've laughed, been pissed off, and cried tears of happiness, and tears of sadness. This is definitely a book you won't want to put down!
Everything you could love about Small Town romances; troubled pasts, conflict building, enemies to lovers, culture shock. Quick read that keeps you entertained with some small twists in between.
Beautiful and sentimental story! Letters to Magnolia is a great debut novel by Jessica Whaley. I am excited to see what she does with the rest of the series :)
I loved this story!! Omg from the beginning of her meeting Logan, who stole her nachos… (I would’ve been mad too 🤣) to the twist and turns and absolute beautiful, but heartbreaking journey this took us on. I was here for it all!
I came across Jessica and this book on TikTok, and honestly I love watching her content, so I knew id love this book!
I went into it pretty blind, and I’m glad I did. I could start to put together the puzzle pieces as I was reading, but when it all came together I was a mess of tears. I absolutely binged this book because I just had to know how it ended. But there were also just as many laughs too!
And it was spicy, Logan was hot. He was this broody, cowboy, but had it bad for Ivy.
Jessica created so much depth in this story, and it kept me on my toes. I loved Ivy and Logan’s relationship, but I also just loved Ivy’s relationship with everyone else too. Is recommend going into this blind and not seeking out the spoilers. It’s such a beautiful story, and I can’t wait to see what’s next 🫶🏼
tropes - small town, cowboy, city girl x country boy, little suspense, found family
Jessica Whaley’s debut novel hits every single emotion. It is a sweet story with romance, a little smut ;-) I shed a few tears, laughed, and there are HORSES! Who doesn’t love a book with horses???? It is definitely a must read!
I absolutely love this story. Being a dark romance reader it was nice to dip my toes into a country romance. It has the perks of the country side, family, humor, cowboy, one bed, plot twists and spice! 🌶
Being a beta reader and arc reader was such a fun experience! I highly recommend giving this book a read! You will fall in love with the characters. ❤️
It comes out May 7th! I recommend you add it to your tbr!
