WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU FIND FOUR SAVAGELY BUTCHERED BODIES, YOUR HANDS BATHED IN BLOOD, AND YOU KNOW YOU KILLED THEM...BUT YOU JUST CAN'T REMEMBER WHY?
Perennial USA TODAY & Amazon 5-million copy bestselling authors DAVID ARCHER and BLAKE BANNER have joined forces once again to create one hair-raising explosion of carnage and intrigue!
What do you do when you open your eyes and can't remember who you are? When you find four savagely butchered bodies, your hands bathed in blood, and you know you killed them...but you just can't remember why?
In a world where anarchy and crime are surging, the man who calls himself Rogue begins his search for the truth – about who he is, what he’s done, and above all else, why?
Friend and foe draw near. Offering aid. To find answers. To seek truth. But who can be trusted? And who secretly plots to destroy him?
LA private detective Dave Martial seems genuine, but who is the man really? Then there is Special Agent Elroy Jones, and the enigmatic Dr. Elizabeth Grant who seems to know more about him than he knows of himself. Are their motives pure? Or is there more than lies beneath the surface?
So many questions. So few answers.
There is only one thing Rogue knows for He is driven; driven to hunt down and kill those who traffic death on the streets in the form of drugs and prostitution; those who prey on the young and the vulnerable. He aches for a society where justice prevails, regardless of what the law might say about it. And he's willing and able to enact that justice even if it means going rogue.

The plot is interesting but from the moment I started reading I was like, these guys aren’t from LA. The way they described driving (I.e., I10 and I5). You would never got up I10, you would take the 10. And it just didn’t sit right with me, and then the characters are at a bar having a drink in Skid Row at 5 AM (oh and they had just left a crowded bar at 4:30 AM. And they are watching the sun rise over the San Jacinto mountains from a beach front restaurant in Santa Monica (100 miles and the San Gabriel mountain range away). Hi G’s like this just make me think AI is involved and that bothers me. Either that or just really bad editing and people writing about somewhere they don’t know. Take that out and I’m enjoying the book itself.
I've been reading Blake B and David A for many years and have managed to get through most of their joint and individual thrilling stories. They are Masters of their craft and this new venture is such a logically sound one. I will continue to read their stories and support them no matter what. They have set the highest benchmark and they always deliver.
Rogue will provide an escort through if it is deserved...
Alone and covered in blood with no memory of his identity or his purpose, he begins to put together a few stray fragments of his immediate past. They will lead him to the " Gates of Hell" and those he is meant to escort through those gates....Five star plus!
Banner & Archer provide a story that is the most complicated, fast read I have ever read from either writer. ‘The-man-with-no-name’ once trained as a special opts agent, becomes a rogue killer tracking down Mexican drug runners and in the end finds out why. Don’t miss this book.
The storyline pulls you in immediately. Who is he, what happened and more importantly Why? The complex twisting, as 'John' tries to put all these events into place is a brilliant journey into the unknown. It is a thriller .. and one of my best reads over the recent past. Open it and your mind... come along for a wild ride.
The story is thrilling from beginning to end. Rogue is a dynamic and likable character who draws you in. Despite his skewed moral compass you will find yourself rooting for him. I am looking forward to the next installment to learn more about Rogue’s history.
Not sure at first but couldn't stop turning pages. Now I have to read the next episode? Should be just as good. Glad to find a book with no grammatical errors! That's rare!!
I stumbled upon this book because I finished another David Archer series. I thought enjoyed the book and backstory and am.looking forward to the next book in the series.
Read this in two sittings. Rogue was identifiable , ( ironic, I know ) , from the start. As a character with Drive, Brutality, and the right amount of Morality...Rogue is somebody to get behind...someone to root for. Yeah, I'm already hooked on this series !
Fascinating possibility that post traumatic amnesia could result in rapid destruction of bad people. These authors never run out of combat scenarios. The plot informs me about the long reach of organized crime.
A new series that has all the characters in it to be a great place to spend a lot of time. Action and entertainment from page one right up to the end. Bring on book 2, I am hooked.
What a story!!! OMG! Spell bounding, riveting, fast paced. Loved it from beginning to end! Great main character and storyline! I'm hooked on this series and can't wait to read next one!
I found this book to be quite entertaining and very difficult to put-down! The development Of the plot and what went on Maybe was a little simple but definitely made-up for it was the the intrigue of subplots
Very interesting premise. Continuous action and still no idea who he is at the end. Guess you need to read book 2. Will tell all my friends who love thrillers. Meanwhile I need to get book 2
The author has written a great story of a man’s desire and his actions to stop a Mexica cartel’s attempt from establishing a new and more effective drug trafficking route into the states. Full of action.
Yes after reading many books on cop vs bad guys or vice versus, I found this somewhat violent read with a good story, action and a right kind of ending. Read along and see what comes next..boom
This is certainly an action thriller. How can you not love a cold blooded killer who only kills bad guys? The storyline is a bit weak and our hero is too good but the action carries you along. I have to admit that I enjoyed the read.
What a thrill ride! No memory, only instinct and mad crazy survival skills!
When the Rogue wakes up in the car covered in blood and no memory of who he is or what he has done, he enters the house and finds four brutally killed bodies, he runs...!
Rogue is a man who can't remember who he is. But what he does remember is that he hates drug dealers. He's a one man wrecking crew who won't stop until the bad guys are history. A great first book in a new series.
Basically non stop action. Well written, hard to put down.. Blake has another series started that will keep the reader entertained thru each novel. Thank you for another great read. DLB
Look no further for superb plot, interesting and complex hero character, action galore, and engaging, easy to digest writing style. Hell of a good read …
