When Darkness Falls is more than a ghost story it’s a haunting exploration of grief, obsession, creativity, and the terrifying cost of losing yourself. Dylan Sanders is a horror author crippled by writer’s block, desperately searching for inspiration. When he ventures into the infamous Lasery House hoping to reignite his creativity, he discovers that some stories don’t want to be written… they demand to be told. I loved how this novel blended supernatural horror with psychological suspense. The haunted house delivers eerie chills, but it’s Dylan’s descent into guilt, insomnia, and unraveling sanity that really kept me turning the pages. The atmosphere is heavy with dread from the very beginning, and every chapter adds another layer of mystery until the haunting truth is revealed. If you enjoy abandoned houses, restless spirits, cursed secrets, and stories where the line between reality and madness slowly disappears, this one deserves a place on your TBR.
