No One Rides For Free #2

No One Rides For Free Absolute Chaos

Rate this book
In the original book, No One Rides For Free, by Judith Sonnet, there was a warning halfway through the story, which told readers to be cautious with the foul, disturbing, and disgusting material they were about to encounter.
This time . . . YOU DON’T GET A WARNING!
The twisted Otis Bateman and unhinged Judith Sonnet have joined forces to bring you a book that goes ALL THE WAY. NO ONE RIDES FOR FREE (ABSOLUTE CHAOS) is an exploration of evil and wickedness, unlike anything you have read before. You’ll swear you can smell the blood on the pages!
A group of college students stop by a roadside attraction on their way back from spring break, only to become trapped in a life-or-death fight with two roaming psychopaths, Buster and The Man! Fiends, whose bloodlust knows no boundaries!
If you are at all easily shocked or offended, this book is going to BUTCHER you!

“Here, little girlie!” The Man said. “We got some toys fer you ta play with!”

Morticia prepared for whatever was about to happen next.

God, I’ve got such a fuckin’ bloodlust. And it seems that no matter how hard I try . . . I just can’t stay out of trouble! she thought with an excited giggle.

I am speechless honestly. When I was reading I was like “damn this is fucking disgusting it can’t get worse” and bam it got worse. This book pushes boundaries and will make the most seasoned readers of the genre squirm (or at least I did) not for the weak of heart but 100% for people who love to test their limits. I need more!!!!!!

The author’s promised a lot and they delivered.
This book is well written, with a solid storyline and is disgustingly horrific. Just about everything imaginable is included in this tale: necrophillia, beastiality, sodomy, cannabalism, torture to name a few.
What’s more troubling though is that there are people in this world, who can conjure from the deaths of their mind, characters such as the man and Buster. Now that’s scarey!!

It’s so beyond disheartening to see such a phenomenal author write with someone who tries so irrevocably hard to be a good splatter author. When reading a book by two authors at once usually it’s a good thing that you are able to tell who writes what. In this it was the complete opposite. There was writing that was beautifully done and disgusting, plagued in the next chapter with the most childish, un creative writing i’ve ever read. I went from cringing one chapter to literally rolling my eyes at the next chapter because of how awful the writing was. Judith Sonnet is a phenomenal author who is talented in splatter but also sustenance to their writing and work. Otis is not the same, between the try hard nature of his writing to the childish creative block this match didn’t work for me. The two stars is for Judith, that’s genuinely all I could give. Also the twist at the end was horrible.

Date Read: Sunday, March 2, 2025
Book Length: 69k words: eh still kind of short
Disturbingness scale: boring meaningless gore porn (i have high tolerance btw) out of 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ potatoes 🥔: 4️⃣7️⃣

My 5th read of splatterpunk march ✨

Not worth the long review that i normally do on my goodreads reviews.

So today sunday i just read four books but normal speaking if you consider the average length of a book the four books that i read today all adds up to 174k words which is like 1.5 normal books so yeah i'm not really that much of a REALLY fast reader, just a fast enough reader, all these books are just really short.

I know gore with substance, i know what gore is like when there is full of meaning, this one just doesn't, it's the same as the first one. I actually refused to believe that this is the same author who wrote "the clown hunt" because i absolutely adored that book and the (gay romance) that is associated with it. gurll u should try writing romance someday, you'd be really good at it.

✧・゚: *✧・゚:*Pre-Read✧・゚: *✧・゚:*

Will this be the exact same as the first one? Or will this be better

Sonnet and Bateman promised something vile and disgusting. Did they deliver??

ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY.

This book is cover to cover depraved packed filth. It left me feeling like I needed a scalding hot shower. I also cuddled with my dogs and gave them snackies bc #justiceforBuddy🥹

I was OBSESSED when my favorite goth girlie pop was introduced🖤 The end had question marks so does that mean we’ll get a novella of Buster and The Man suffering?? Hopefully 😈

Buy this and read it NOW!

P.s- I will not be responsible for your grippy sock vacay ⭐️😵‍💫

I have been eagerly awaiting to read this gore fest and it lives up to the hype, Sonnet and Bateman know how to tell a twisted tale, between Sonnets brilliant imagery and Batemans humorous and creative wording this book delivers nonstop, I appreciate the thought process and research that clearly went into creating this masterpiece and the ending had me ecstatic.

3.5 ⭐️ don’t come for me… I really wanted to love this book and I did, and then couldn’t anymore. It started out great, but it just went on for entirely too long. Although the killings were rather clever and disturbing, I found certain characters to be a bit too predictable. And unlike most I wasn’t a fan of the end . I absolutely love most of Sonnet and Batemans work but this one just fell a bit short in that department for me 😅.

Possibly one of the most creative and masterfully written piece of Extreme Horror.

I feel it’s fair to say that I had to edit my Original review here. Judith Sonnet will not be collaborating with Otis again. So obviously there will not be an anticipated sequel to absolute chaos happening here.

Next best thing I thoroughly recommend purchasing a copy of Judith Sonnets Beast of Burden. It’s got metal and something lurking in a cave. 🖤

Holy Fucking Fuck!!!..this book hits you like a ten tonne truck being driven at 100MPH towing a full on steam roller...the whole story never lets up on pure gore, filth and destruction and it certainly lives up to its title of Absolute Chaos.
I adored all the characters from start to finish...the good, bad or just plain psycho!!
The torture was so gruesome and I found myself wincing on more than a few occasions.
Sonnet and Bateman have succeeded to shock big time with this one...
There are trigger warnings oozing from every page...blood and torture dripping from every word that comes out of Buster's and The Man's mouth...grime, dirt and infections falling from everyone of their "Toys"
And an ending that every Maggot Girl will desire 😘

This deserves 10 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 it's awesome!!!

I did like the book, but at times it felt a bit long and thus lost its oomph whereas a shorter book packs more of a punch. I loved the final girl but I didn't really get attached to the other characters so didn't give a damn if they died.
I did laugh out loud at the description of an arsehole being a "balloon knot"! 😂
There isn't much story aside from people being mercilessly slaughtered in inventive ways. It was hyped up to the max, but in all honesty I have read better from both authors.

IT CAN ALWAYS GET WORSE. Judith and Otis knocked this collab outta the park, I tell yah!

Thank you to the authors for the ARC!! I had a blast being absolutely revolted after every page.

(I’d like to add that anything can be a dildo or a fleshlight if you’re creative enough! Buster and The Man SURE are, uhm, artists.)

When I heard there was a sequel being written to be three times a long, and Bateman helping with the writing, I absolutely had to check this one out!

This book is extremely wild, as expected by these two authors. There is almost every trigger you can think of, and NOTHING is held back.

If you are experienced with Sonnet and Bateman's writing, you can notice who wrote certain sections to the other.

I always look for a fun splatter ride, regardless of how ridiculous it can be in these stories sometimes, but I absolutely loved this one! This one is wayyyyy worse than the first one, if you thought that could be possible haha.

Phew! This was a hefty, horrific ride. And as the title suggests, no one rides for free. Every page of this book was doused in gore and unforgiving torture. One thing after another was just worse and worse. After reading both books 1 and 2 of this duo I definitely preferred the first book, it had more of a story line. This book was more of violence just for the hell of it and felt like it dragged on at times. But all in all it serves its purpose as an absolute extreme and limit pushing book. Definitely NOT for the faint of heart.

Brutal. Descriptive.
Exactly what I expected from these two horror minds!

Certain aspects of book one had me gagging, whereas book two went for volume and unmerciful chaos. There was only one part of this book that could have been left out and that was the scenes with the dog. Not a fan of animal torture, abuse, or descriptive animal death.

In a way, this book reminded me of the Do Not Disturb books by Jon Athan with the extreme nature of violence and the way no one was left unharmed.

Overall, my sick brain still loved it!

The dynamic duo of Judith and Otis has been instrumental in shaping the splatterpunk movement. In this latest installment, they bring back their iconic character The Man, who reprises his equally terrifying and compelling role with his bag of toys, which is sure to send chills down your spine.

The level of detail in each description of filth on every page creates an atmosphere so vivid it feels like you're right there alongside the characters. But without question, one aspect rises above all else - the profoundly crafted personalities of those we encounter along the journey make for an unforgettable literary experience. The authors did an excellent job of creating a complex collection of characters that will have you flipping the pages as quickly as you can to see what happens next. They took great care in developing each character, giving them unique personalities and motivations.

As I delved deeper into the world presented in this book, I found myself becoming increasingly absorbed by every aspect of it - an encompassing journey that gripped my imagination tightly. Get ready to have your perspective changed forever when it comes to basketballs, spaghetti, and draino.

Strap in and hold tight, because what's coming will push your limits beyond their breaking point - welcome to an experience like no other: Absolute Chaos is guaranteed to leave you speechless!

Whoa... I.. I really just don’t even know what to say about this one… I am left stunned… Judith Sonnet and Otis Bateman promised something big, and boy oh boy, did they deliver. 😦😝

Look, I’m not gonna sit here and glamorize this review and talk about character development and writing style etc. 🚫 None of that matters with this one. (Not for the point of this review anyway.) 😅 This book is gonna make people BIG mad. It is NOT for the even remotely faint of heart.💀But did I devour it?! Yes I did. 🤪

No one Rides for Free (Absolute Chaos) is absolutely fckd. Beyond fckd. Vile. Depraved. Gross. Chaotic. Sick. Sick. Sick. It hits every fcking trigger imaginable… then more… and then even more. 🫠🫣

For those who are seasoned and looking for a book to test how far you can push yourself… meet your match with this one and give a go… “Just enjoy the ride.” 🙃

Twist after twist with this bad boy!! I was honoured and still am to have been offered the chance to read this before release!! This duo may have been the best thing they ever did as they are sick fks 😂
You are not ready for how sick this is. I sure wasn’t. Even the most experienced readers will have a great time reading this 😂
This is before the notorious no one rides for free! The prequel!! If you loved the OG you will love the prequel.
Non stop bloody disgusting shit and I am THERE FOR IT! I couldn’t read any other books as I knew this was coming out and I couldn’t wait!
There’s hopefully going to be a further one as there is a twist at the end of this that just made me scream from excitement!!

Sonnet and Bateman pushed each other to even more depraved extremes than we've ever seen before, and it results in an delightfully disgusting exploration of inhumanity - and some all too human impulses and desires as well. Not for sensitive readers.
