Good practice for the mind-body connection

Working through this book has brought me a lot of knowledge and helped me to improve my mind–body connection. Our bodies are full of wisdom and movement is a great way to express ourselves. An interesting topic in the book talks about heart rate variability. I never knew how important this number could be. HRVB and things like movement, mindfulness, and self-inquiry can help us develop a more holistic sense of mind-body connection and self–regulation. If you decide to pick up this book, I’ve found that working through the exercises in order has brought me the most benefit.

Sustained Healing

This is a comprehensive guide that resonates with my experience as a facilitator. This book goes beyond defining trauma, it offers a pathway to healing and reconnection with our inherent capacity for self-healing. I ran a strength-based program, and this book can be used in a clinical setting or for personal growth. The inclusion of practical exercises is useful so those interested can actively engage in their healing journey.

I've been hearing more and more about "somatic therapy," and have been quite curious about the practicalities of using it. This book was a wonderful and smooth guide to a bevy of techniques that I can incorporate into my own daily practice.

My anxiety and depression have persisted for years because of the long-term impacts of the traumas I have survived. Finding resources and guidance in my quest for emotional healing and relief has been challenging. When I needed assistance, I had no idea who to ask. It has been enlightening and reassuring to learn about the various options available, such as Somatic Therapy, for dealing with life's most difficult challenges.

I had never heard of Somatic Therapy or its impact on recovery and general health after trauma until I read this book. As I learned more about its principles, I thought it was an intriguing way to deal with problems like PTSD, chronic pain, anxiety, and depression. The author stresses how our experiences greatly impact our neurological system. I have a good grasp of how the brain influences the body thanks to my background in nursing. The author's claim that the therapy seeks to build new neural pathways that encourage regulation, resilience, and choice while simultaneously targeting and disrupting overreactive responses piqued my interest. In light of my personal ongoing challenges, this struck a chord with me.

While I have not done any research into this method myself, I can say that the book provides a solid groundwork for anyone interested in doing so. The author presents the topic in an engaging and well-researched manner. Anyone dealing with the aftereffects of trauma will find this book to be an invaluable resource.

so full of wonderful therapeutic techniques

I so glad I discovered this book. Whether you have PTSD or something like untreated anxiety, this book is something you need to get ahold of. These exercises are designed to transform your mind-body connectedness by working to reword the brain. It sounds a little out there, but it is working for me. There is such a release of tension and disconnection whenever you perform these techniques.
