He made the bet, and now it's seven days of serious squirming to endure, as Noah and a vibrating sex toy get intimately acquainted. With his best friend - and chief tormentor - at the remote controls, a week at college brings with it a whole new sort of education.
Turns out, there's no shortage of people willing to take full advantage of Noah's predicament, and teach him a few lessons about pleasure, exhibitionism, and the importance of safe words along the way. The shortcut to his sex drive is in someone else's hands, and one thing's for the toy may be a tight fit, but Noah's boundaries are stretching even further.
A m/m gay awakening story intended for adult readers, from the author of "Jock Auction" and "Same Old Bobby"
Born in the UK, and now living in California, I'm a gay writer with a love of coming-of-age stories and high heat-levels.
I've always had an overactive imagination, and have been a contributor to free online archives of m/m stories for some years. In 2015 my first published novel, Jock Auction, was released with Loose Id.
When I'm not writing about guys exploring their sexual identities, I'm a food-loving geek who can't get over the fact that California weather is so much nicer than it is back in Britain.
Usually I give two stars if I skip to the end, but I have to say this book is really something. I started reading it hoping to fall back asleep when I woke up in the night. Nope-it riveted me and was quite hot. But for me it started to drag. I get it. Sexual awakening. Trying lots of new things. I needed more character development and so just skipped to the end.
Just can't give this any less than five stars. Enthusiastically dirty and shameless and really quite joyful with it. A superior kinky stroke book with heart.
Alex Pendragon does it again, in 700 pages. You heard right. Seven HUNDRED pages of graphic, non-stop open door.
I can't at this point. Obviously, you have to be in the mood for it, and be ready to accept that you're not gonna get any manner of plot here. But I've said this before and I will say it again, these books have soul.
So what exactly should you expect if you do pick up this book? Well, hear me out.
Noah lives in the university dorms and shares the floor (bathroom) with 9 other rooms. I guess not all the rooms are occupied, but most are. Let me just test my memory real quick and see how many of the guys I remember yeah? There's Ollie, Charlie, Tom, Finn, Rowan. I think that's all the floor mates. But then again, there's also Gabriel, Alistair, Andrew, Ricky, Rico, Eli, Caleb, TJ, DJ, Zach, Chan... am I missing anyone here? Holy shit, that's sixteen guys, guys. There's also Lucas, but he's just the guy with the remote, blissfully unaware of what his best friend is getting up to.
I did skim at times, but mostly, Noah just had my attention. At the risk of sounding repetitive, do know that you really, really need to be in the right mind set to enjoy this. It's basically 90% smut. BUT there's also the very real and honest discovery of Noah's bisexuality, and the excellent lessons he learns from each of the guys he hooks up with.
By the time the toy is ready to come out, Noah is a whole different person, and every other guy in his life is more than just a dude down the corridor. All these other guys are distinct, clear-voiced, honest. Some offer intimacy, some advice, some just their bodies, but you can see how each of them help Noah put together the puzzle of his sexuality. Kudos to Pendragon for going there, again.
This is my second book from Alex Pendragon. First one was Riley’s Basement. I gave that a 6 star and this is definitely 7 star 😍😍
It’s a great bi/gay awakening book, self discovery and lots of lots of sex. But lots of sex. Alex knows how to write smut for sure.
Wouldn’t mind another book to continue Noah’s story, there is still lots for him to do, lots of guys to play with and finally fall in love, maybe a triad with Rowan and Olly? Coming out to his best friend . Who knows?
*fingers crossed* for Alex to write more about Noah💜
Alex Pendragon writes the best gay erotica I have come across. Beautiful descriptions of the thrill of the new, illicit and risky; all brought to a crashing climax... every few pages. A fair amount of suspension of disbelief is required - absolutely everyone is beautiful and horny, but that doesn't spoil the hot and steamy fun. Some good themes of the importance of self-acceptance and not overthinking along the way.
