April has a best friend Molly who she has known for a long time and they have pretty much shared all their hopes and dreams. But, now Molly has disappeared and April is really worried about her. She is low on funds but scrapes together enough to hire a private investigator who tells her that Molly has been spotted in Key West. So what does your best friend do? April quits her job and heads to Key West to find her. Now we are in April's life as we go through the ups and downs with her on her search of a lifetime. This is so exciting as we meet all different types of people who may or may not have seen Molly or know where she is. Another one of Sage's great books where each one ends in a cliff hanger and you can't wait to get the next one read.

I normally fall in love with Sage's books within the first few pages of the first book, but for some reason I just couldn't get into this one.
April isn't the most likable FMC. She has a horrible attitude and thinks the worst of everyone. She uses the one guy she matches on a dating app to buy her dinner as she can't afford groceries and ends up getting two entrees when he tells her to get whatever she wants. He guesses she doesn't have much food and she tells him that she has no food because everything is spent trying to find her BFF, Molly, who disappears after a horrible fight.
Mark, the guy who takes April out to dinner, is seriously red flag material. He is so clingy! He calls April all the time, even though she's mostly made it clear she just wants to be friends because she's looking for someone who just might not want to be found.
Then there's Dave, April's boss and Molly's ex-boss. He was just being honest and April ripped his head off. I just...don't like her!
I love Sage Parkers books, just wish would put in one book. Unusual for her books, this one starts a little slow but quickly picks up. April is worried about how her friend and roommate disappears. So she hires a PI to look for Molly, who tells her he thinks he found her in the Keys. So April quits her job and travels to the Keys. Her friends in Miami think she is making a mistake. When she arrives,April stops at a restaurant for a bathroom break and ends up with a job and place to stay. As she settles in, she opens the envelope the PI had delivered to her before she left. Most of the info is things she already knows but one picture is clear enough to verify it's Molly. Not only can she recognize Molly but she recognizes the place she is standing in front of. What's going to happen next?
April had worked with Molly at the coffee shop for almost 7 years now, and lived with her in their Rent-Controlled apartment in Miami for 4 years. They were best friends. They went out to dinner and some drinks , the evening was going great, them they got into an argument. When April got up the next morning, Molly was gone, taking nothing but her cell phone and purse. That was 3 1/2 weeks ago. April had hired a Private Investigator even though Dave felt Molly just up and left as she had always talked about doing. Now the P.I. has found evidence of Molly in Key West. April was on her way.
OK, Sage, where are we going with this one?

My Perception:
I'm glad you enjoyed "Last Chance in the Keys"! It sounds like a thrilling read with lots of drama and suspense. April's determination to find her missing friend Molly in Key West makes for an intriguing storyline. The plot twists and the introduction of a character who knew Molly as Olivia add an extra layer of mystery to the story. This book sets the stage for more captivating developments in the series, and I'm looking forward to learning more about this strange and intriguing story.

She follows the leads her Pi sent her and is now in the Keys, working at a bar, living in a little house. Her boss, Dave, sees nice and understanding, her new boss, Alex, seems nice, Mark is a little creepy I'm not sure about him I'm sure we'll find out more about these 3 men in the next installment. April is on a mission to find her friend Molly. One day Molly just disappeared, and this is how I got hooked on this series. Sage Parker has given her readers the first installment in the series Key West. Last Chance in the Keys starts out strong and ends with a cliffhanger that made my mind yell—Oh is this going to be good! I am impressed with Sage Parkers writing style. She gives us just enough to keep us turning the pages. I am anxious to get the next installment. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This review is for book 1 of the Last Chance in the Keys series. April is a young barista working in Miami. Her best friend and roommate, Molly, has been missing for weeks? Is it foul play, or did she leave willingly? When April gets a tip that she has been seen in Key West, she heads out to try and find her. She ends up meeting a bar owner, Alex, who offers her a job and a place to stay. The story ends with April getting some surprising news. I look forward to book 2!.

Wow, April is on a mission and nothing or the lack of money is not going to stop her from getting to the bottom of things. Sage has a way of weaving a great mystery together and I always look forward to reading them all. This shows a lot of promise and I cannot wait for book two to see what April discovers about her mission friend, Molly...

This book starts at a point I wondered what was I missing! Alice is desperate to locate her friend. Why?? The coffee cafe were Alice works is busy. In this instance I got to see a part of Alice’s personality when she dealt with an inconsiderate customer. The things I learned about her showed why she was so concerned about Mollie. Other characters are introduced that added depth AND more questions. Ok I’m definitely hooked and can’t wait to read the next installment.
This Booksprout ARC is an excellent start for this series.
With every page turn I was pulled deeper into this missing persons mystery. This series is going to be quite an adventure. An intriguing and suspenseful storyline with a wonderful mix of characters. We don't know who knows what or who to trust yet. Great start tp this new series. Sage Parker is such an amazing author and storyteller, you do not want to miss this one!.

April works as a barista. When her best friend and roommate, Molly, disappeared she hired a PI to look for her. Mark and April connected through a dating app. Will they be in agreement to move forward or to be friends? When she gets a lead on Molly how does she react? Where does the lead go?.

This first book in this series already has lots going on with April looking for her missing friend Molly and setting off to Key West to look for her friend after a PI she hired had found evidence that Molly was in Key West. In the meantime April is being constantly contacted by Mark who she had one date with and he appears to know some things that April did not tell him. I can’t wait for the second book to see where life takes April and if she gets any closer to finding her missing friend.

This was an exciting start to this series. I wasn't sure if this was going to be my type of book but I didn't judge the book by its cover and thankfully it turned out to be an amazing book. I really enjoyed it. I can't say I'm a fan of waiting to see what's next but I will find some way to carry on until the next book comes out!! Fun and mysterious story.
April's best friend Molly is missing. Everyone else thinks she finally left, she talked about leaving all the time. April is sure that is not the case. She will follow the leads no matter where she ends up as long as she can find Molly. It was a good start to the series, there are quite a few characters and suspense abounds.
Wow, talk about kicking off a new series with a bang. With her best friend missing, April is really a loose cannon, a broke loose cannon, that wants to know what happened to Molly. Now the question is, has April’s sudden change in luck really been a move into a dangerous situation? Is Alex as nice as he seems? Time for book 2. I have no patience.
This book is a great start to a new series. It hooks you on the first page and doesn't let go. It has just the right amount of mystery and suspense to keep you turning the pages. I look forward to the next installment.

April is in search of her friend Molli who goes missing. She’s hired a private investigator who has found her down in Key West Florida. This book ends abruptly and I need to get the next book to continue the story. To be continued… ▪️Language - none ▪️Sex scenes - none ▪️Violence - none
Barristas never looked more intriguing, and also more captivating as in this story. The length a true friendship goes. And it is just the beginning. It has a strong heroine, some shady character, and friends. I can't wait for Book 2!
This is a nice beginning to a new series. I believe there will be a lot of mystery and suspense to this one. Already there is a missing person and her best friend is trying desperately to find her. Looking forward to the next book to see what happens next
