Eighteen-year-old student Natale lives in Monforte, a sleepy town in Piedmont where nothing much ever happens. When a tiny upmarket lingerie shop opens, it doesn't take long for the townspeople to form strong opinions on whether they want a place of that sort stirring up passions some think better left unstirred. But when Natale herself takes a job there as a sales assistant, it precipitates her own sexual and political awakening - as well as bringing her to the attention of Marcello, a famous film director from Rome. Soon Natale is discovering that sex is a much more difficult business than she'd anticipated....

Anthony Capella was born in Uganda, Africa in 1962. He was educated at St Peter’s College, Oxford, where he graduated with a First in English Literature. The Food of Love, his first novel, was a Richard and Judy Summer Read in the UK. It has been translated into nineteen languages and has been optioned for the screen by Warner. His second novel, The Wedding Officer, was an international bestseller and is being made into a film by New Line. His third novel The Various Flavours of Coffee will be released in the second half of 2008.

Every now and then you should treat yourself to the best there is. Capella fits that criteria.
This beautifully crafted short novel, is a treat for the heart, mind and spirit.
