The book I read is called Quantum Physics for Beginners Simplified by Alisha Kapani, published on April 1st 2024. The genre of this book can be accurately summarized as Non-fiction & Scientific. Of course there is no actual setting for this book as it was created to easily explain the general ideas of Quantum Physics for those who have little to no background knowledge in the subject. Of course this also means there are no characters as well, as again it was created to explain the general ideas of Quantum Physics. The ‘plot’ is explaining general and commonly used theories of Quantum Physics and the reasoning behind said theories. The central themes of this book is just explaining commonly used theories, the general ideas within Quantum Physics, and making sure the average reader can grasp the subject.

As for my personal opinion of this book, it is an amazing read and I do suggest others read it if they wish to try their hand at such a complex field of study. It made it extremely easy to understand the subjects the book had as well as made it possible to explain to others how the theories worked. While it does have its strengths in explaining it to others, unfortunately it only skims the surface of the subjects it explains and does not include the math behind it, but do not let that deter you from reading such an amazing book. This book is perfect for beginners, as it does not explain it in a way that makes it seem like the reader would have a background in Quantum Physics. I will definitely be recommending this book to others who are interested in Quantum Physics.
[I had wrote this review for a summer reading project for school, but nevertheless it is actually a very good book, I highly recommend it.]

a basic guide to quantum physics …and beyond

“Quantum Physics for Beginners Simplified: Understand the Subatomic World, Apply Basic Concepts to Everyday Life, and Expand Your Consciousness & Worldview Without a Science Background” by Alisha Kapani is an easy-to-understand guide that spans around 130 pages, introduces some fundamental principles of quantum physics and demonstrates their application in everyday scenarios. The author takes adequate care to integrate some clear explanations with her practical examples and even explores subjects such as expanding consciousness alongside the book’s more mainstream scientific discussion. This book may be of interest to individuals who are perhaps interested to gain a basic understanding of quantum physics and their implications for a broader perspective on some of life’s big questions, but who perhaps lack a formal scientific background.

It did take some of the "magic" most people feel regarding Quantum Mechanics. I really like all the real world examples of how Quantum Mechanics is a part of our lives. Of course I have no idea how much of this is theory vs proven but it was interesting none-the-less.
