I won an E-book from LibraryThing. The opinions are my own. I gave The Pharaoh's Cat a 4 star rating. Lots of details in the descriptions.

The Pharaoh's Cat
A short story from the book, The Pharaoh's Cat.
The story is in first place. A writer sits in front of a blank page and Tal, a cat appears. He asks what is the author planning to write and he says a fairy tale.
Tal then tells the story which involves Tutankhamun.
I did like this tale because I have studied about Egypt and also have visited there twice.
I won an e-book from LibraryThing. The opinions are my own.
------
The Pharaoh's Cat- Under Her Skin
This is a short story from the book, The Pharaoh's Cat.
This story is a fantasy story and had me lost until I read the other two stories in the book; To Catch a Thief and By the Book. Someone on a message board mentioned D&D and when I checked, I saw it is a game.
Mouse is stealing a jewel for Kolin. With her is a demon whose name is Zayler; he calls Kolin, Master. The jewel sticks to the hand of Mouse and keeps telling her to kill Kolin.
I won an e-book copy of The Pharaoh's Cat from LibraryThing. The opinions are my own.
I plan to do a re-read of all three short stories.
A short story, The Jewel and the Demon was published in 2000 and I am thinking may be similar to this story. To Catch a Thief was published in 2000.
-------
The Pharaoh's Cat- Is This Real Enough?
A short story that is a fantasy. The end is what really told me what was happening. I was lost a lot of the time but kept reading. I need to read more of Lisanne Norman's books. This short story was first published in 2006.
It begins with Aziel being cruel to his servant and he is not part of the story until near the end.
A number of characters and there is a lot of fighting. A little romance is a bit of the story.
If I write much. I think I would have spoilers so if one likes fantasy, this is a good read for them.
I won an E-book copy of The Pharaoh's Cat and this is one of the short stories in the book. The opinions are my own.
------
The Pharaoh's Cat- To Catch a Thief
This short story has Mouse and Zaylar and it helps me understand them more. Mouse has inherited Kolin's house as he is now dead. The jewel is still with Mouse and tries to tell her what to do. Mouse and Zaylar are trying to find a diary that Kolin had which has magic spells in it. There is also more information about Zaylar.
This story brings in a human, Kris Russell.
These two short stories could have been written together as well as the other story, By the Book.
I won this E-book from LibraryThing. The opinions are my own.
------
The Pharaoh's Cat - Paintbox
This short story is based in Ireland.
Art students are at art classes for a week at a hotel. The area is wooded and there is a lake.
As three students, Anne, Heather, and Glen are in the woods painting, a young girl comes up to them. Her name is Cassandra and she lives with her mother and brother at Culzean Castle. Cassandra is not supposed to be around strangers.
At the pub, Mr. McNabb tells them the story of ghosties at Culzean Castle. He also tells them the story of President Kennedy when he was shot. "The night before he was shot. You could hear the laments o' the pipes for miles".
I won an e-book copy of The Pharaoh's Cat from LibearyThing and this was one of the short stories in the book. The opinions are my own.
-----
The Pharaoh's Cat- Warrior in the Mist
A short story that has some history. The Battle of Hastings was fought on Senlac Hill between the Normans and Saxons.
The story begins with the battle and then goes to a mother telling her son about the battle. She is one of the people re-enacting the battle.
Since I have been reading the short stories by Lisanne Norman, I know this will have a ghost or something in it. Try vision.
William became the first Norman King of England.
Of all the short stories in the book, The Pharaoh's Cat, this is my favorite.
I won a complimentary E-book copy of The Pharaoh's Cat from LibraryThing. The opinions are my own.
---
The Pharaoh's Cat- By the Book
A short story with Mouse, a young girl, and Zaylar, a demon. Mouse inherited the house and Zaylar when the Wizard Kolin died. The story also has the human, Kris Russell, from the short story, To Catch a Thief.
Mouse is trying to get a book of magic spells that the human, Kris Russell, has. Most of this story has Mouse and Zaylar breaking into where he lives.
This is the third story about Mouse and Zaylar in the book, The Pharaoh's Cat. I have a feeling there are more stories about them. Each story I learn more about Mouse.
I won an E-book copy of The Pharaoh's Cat from LibraryThing. The opinions are my own.
-----
The Pharaoh's Cat- The Wild Hunt
A short story from the book, The Pharaoh's Cat.
I was not sure what the Wild Hunt was but basically the story is about an old Merlin and the choosing of a new one.
I am always interested in anything written about Merlin. This was different but still a good, short read.
I won an E-book copy of The Pharaoh's Cat from LibraryThing. The opinions are my own.
