This series continues to blow me away! Love, love, love it! The descriptions used make it so realistic and come alive! The heroine, Eden, is very much flawed, naive, and at times immature; however, she is is loving, brave, and has a loyal heart. She is an all together well-rounded young woman.
No YA fantasy series would be complete without a love triange. It's always interesting to me to see the main character struggle with feelings for two different guys. Especially when both of them seem to be good people. For this reason, I have a hard time believing it's true love in either case. If you can't completely give your heart to one person, and one person alone, can it really be true love? Anyways, from what I read, most people like Kiran ... but I have been a Jericho fan from day one. Somehow I don't see it ending up that way though.
There were a lot of likeable side characters that were introduced in this book. I would have liked to have read more about them, but maybe that's something that happens in the next one!
Most everything about this author's writing is spot on. Very imaginitive, descriptive, vivid, creative, etc. Just PLEASE INVEST IN AN EDITOR!! Or hire me! Typos still plague this series, and unnecessary commas. It drove me a bit batty! .... I have read much worse though, and it wasn't quite enough to distract from the story entirely, but still...
