Adrianna Cuevas is a first-generation Cuban-American originally from Miami, Florida. A Spanish, ESOL and TOEFL teacher, Adrianna currently resides in Austin, Texas with her husband and son. When not working with TOEFL students, wrangling multiple pets including an axolotl, and practicing fencing with her son, she is writing her next middle grade novel.

Cleo always has the best fashion sense and creative ideas so when she hears about humans hosting a Monster Con, she flips the script and decides Monster High needs their first ever Human Con! Of course she wants to win the best human award so she decides to wear a dazzling crown from the catacombs, but when she puts it on she begins behaving strangely. Thank goodness for her ghoulfriends who help solve the mystery of the crown’s origins /!; help break its hold on Cleo!

These are such nostalgic reads for me and even my students! They loved the first in the series and I cannot wait to add this to my middle school library tomorrow—perfect for elementary too. The monster puns and names are my absolute favorite when reading Monster High thanks to the franchise and also Cuevas for making me (an adult) laugh throughout the story. I want all the characters to have their own book! The inclusivity was amazing as well!

A very good sequel to the first book and definitely a great book for children who love monster high. It is a bit long at 20 chapters, but it's very comprehensive for age groups of maybe 7-10 but can also be enjoyed by 11-19 and that grew up with generations 1 and 2. I really enjoy it and could finish it in a day.

If I'm being honest, it's Very boring and cringe. The book is basically where cleo thinks she's better than everyone else and then she puts on this magic crown that makes think about everyone except herself and then when she takes it off she learns her lesson. It's very generic to me and I think they could have done a lot better.

This series is so cute and a perfect companion to the TV series. I hate that it was cancelled, I wanted at least one for each of the main five :(
