⭐Book three in the Strings of Fate series! ⭐

Will you do what is wrong, to make things right?

Arii and Elijah stand on the brink of uniting three mighty courts against the darkness rising in Viridya, but just as hope lights the horizon, fate spins an unexpected thread, casting a shadow in the form of a face from Elijah’s past. Trapped and strung in threads like a cruel marionette, he can do nothing except watch as everything he loves comes undone, all the while undergoing a war of wills where eyes cannot see.

Tasked with finding a secret object said to turn the tide on the unavoidable war to come, secrets slowly unravel as Arii struggles to keep herself focused with the most important task at hand. Win the war and save the land – with or without Elijah. She will do anything to bring him back, even challenge the Gods themselves, but when faced with an impossible choice, will she sacrifice everything she holds dear to do what is right?

Meanwhile, Lorch is torn between loyalty to his father and his fears for their future as an unplanned encounter with a Fae woman causes him to doubt everything, while simultaneously grappling with newfound truths and the consequences of his past choices.

Realms collide, barriers shatter, and the stage is set for an elemental clash that will decide Fythnar's fate. Will love prevail against darkness when everything seems lost, or will the land succumb to the twisted force of an evil far greater than anything seen in this realm before?

Step into a realm of danger, magic and sizzling romance in this epic romantic fantasy series that will set your heart on fire, featuring unforgettable characters that will stay with you, long after the final chapter. 4.75⭐️ I absolutely loved the first two books in The Strings of Fate trilogy and was pleased to find out that book three continued on with strong friendships, epic adventure, heartfelt romances and deeply disturbing evil. Everything we want in a good fantasy series.

By far the most exciting book of the three, Fire, Fury and Chaos had action and adventure on every page, rarely a quiet moment as our favourite characters set about saving the land of Fythnar from the evil that had been introduced to it by the King’s father… and not all our favourite characters are safe in this thrilling final instalment!

We begin Fire, Fury and Chaos with our three main characters Arii, Elijah and Lorch separated, no longer able to lean on each other as the world they know crumbles around them. Forced to trust new and old friends to help them make some big choices we watch as they begin to deepen their understanding of who they truly are and embrace their own truth.

As each character takes their own path towards freeing Fythnar of the darkness we are immersed in a world of magic, wyverns, dragons, nymphs, necromancy, battles, portals, alternative worlds, fae, assassins, gods hoping that our heroes can make the changes needed and find the happiness that they all so desperately want.

Despite the high level of stressful situations our characters find themselves in and the uncertainty of how it will all unfold, my favourite element of this book is still the heartfelt and somewhat complicated romance between Arii and Elijah. They have both been through so much in their lives and yet their hearts are full of kindness and open to love that I desperately wanted them to find love and happiness with one another.

Perhaps the most surprising connection, and such a beautiful one, is Lorch and his new friends Cela and Mia (I will not say any more for those who haven’t read it yet)… this touched my heart so deeply.

I absolutely loved The Strings of Fate trilogy, all three books were wonderful and I look forward to many years of re-reading them.

“He was fire, he was fury, and he was chaos.”

Holy Mother of all that is good. Please excuse any typos or nonsense in this review, because I stayed up way too late last night finishing this off. I couldn’t stop. I just. Could not.

The third and final book in the Strings of Fate series has just been released and she is a doozy. Want action? Got it. Want romance? Got it. Want mythical nightmares of creatures, powerful dark magic, good vs evil, found family, epic battles, shifters, fae? Tick tick tick tick. Did I say dragons? Yes, dragons 🐉

This book has it all. And more, but that will be all spoilery if I say more so I won’t. Multiple POV’s come together smoothly to tell a story full of all the good stuff fantasy lovers should inhale. There are some epic character arcs, new characters & places to enjoy, and a bromance to end all bromances. There was a bit in the middle that lost me a little, I can’t quite work out why but I think there were a few too many new things introduced that didn’t get enough time to expand upon, given we were halfway through the final book in a trilogy. Fodder for future spinoffs, perhaps 👀 despite that, I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the last 20%. You’ve been warned.

Congratulations Melissa - Fire, Fury & Chaos is a solid finish for a magnificent series. I love a book where all the loose ends are neatly tied up 🤗 I also especially liked how our main character Arii isn’t actually the one who all the stuff happens to… a refreshing change from the usual.

We are here, at the end, and I'm a maelstrom of emotions.

I'm sad... Arii, Elijah and Lorch's story has come to an end, and it's been a wild ride. These characters, along with their friends, have been at the forefront of my mind for the past 4 years. It feels like I'm farewelling old friends, but in my heart, I know I'll see them again!
I'm nervous... there are some MAJOR moments in this book. The slow burn turns to fire, the magic returns with a vengeance, and our motley band of heroes face a slew of challenges. Who will, and who won't, survive? And how many hearts will break by the end? (Characters... and perhaps readers too? Ahhhhhaa...)

I'm proud... I wrote a trilogy - an epic romantasy, all while going through pregnancy, motherhood and all the wonderful and challenging things that come with it, and life in general. Whether the finale is well received or not… I did this! I ticked off something I’ve wanted to achieve since I was a little girl, and I am SO proud.

If you've stuck with me until now... THANK YOU! I truly hope you enjoy the fiery conclusion. Though Arii, Elijah and Lorch’s story has concluded, they will never be too far from my mind, and who knows… maybe one day we will be back in Fythnar once again.

I promise I’ll be back with more stories in the near future, but for now, thank you for sticking with me, for bringing my stories into your home and into your hearts.

I’m off to weave more fates, devour more stories… and create more chaos!

Fire, Fury & Chaos is the epic and emotionally resonant conclusion to the Strings of Fate trilogy.

This series had me completely absorbed. Over the course of a few days, I felt held by the story, stretched emotionally, broken open, mended, and then gently undone all over again. It is rare for a series to linger in my mind like this one has.

Lorch’s journey especially stayed with me. I spent much of the book holding concern for him, while also deeply appreciating the way his character arc unfolded. Seeing his story progress in a way that felt earned and true was incredibly satisfying, and I was quietly proud that my early instincts about him proved right.

Elijah and Arii fully captured my heart. Their slow burn felt intense and real, and by the time it reached its completion I was on edge in the best possible way. Their connection felt tender, hard-won, and affirming.

The wider cast, including new faces, added richness and momentum to the story. The battle sequences were intense and immersive, everything I hope for in a final confrontation. My heart was racing, adrenaline high, and the conclusion left me stunned, emotional, and quietly reflective once the final page was turned.

Thank you to Melissa J. Kincaid for a story that will stay with me for a long time. I’m very much ready to step back into this world through the continuation and spin-off series.

Obsessed! I'm totally and utterly obsessed with this book, this series, everything in its entirety!

The growth and development of these characters in the 3 books is detailed, it's a bit of a harsh reality to them, and they do struggle at times but then they overcome their challenges individually but also together.
Arii is a basadd super fate bitch, she's like karma ready to come and serve with her blades and her cloak.
Elijah, righteous king- he's courageous, he's strong and a survivor, he's brave and kind, and he's absolutely smitten with his mate with purple eyes.

This story makes it way to the final battle, and an epic battle it is. Friendships are proven to be the strongest in this book. There's dragons (yes!!!!!!! I love me all the dragons and fighting)
There's a HEA, it comes with heartbreak and I cried, I absolutely balled my eyes, but the sacrifice was worth the pain (for me and the main characters in this series).

I want to make a special mention of Ghila. I really really loved Ghila in this story. Shes a wild card, she's a survivor, and she's haunted, yet she's so utterly strong.

Sweet Mother of Dragons would you PLEASE for the love of all that is holy put the onions away?!

Wow. Just...wow. I am DUMBFOUNDED and in a complete and utter state of I don't even know what. What a journey this has been!! The twists and turns leading up to the grand finale were literal written perfection. Congratulations on becoming my newest favorite author! I LOVED meeting some new characters, although bonding with them just to lose them ripped my heart out of my chest. It's okay, no Nexus Crystals were used in the repairing of said heartbreaks. I am still very much alive, and still very much reveling in the thrill of the ride. Best emotional roller coaster EVER, and if you'll excuse me...I'm getting back in line. TEN stars, five for each hand, for this whole series. (I can do that, I make my own rules of rating teehee.)

Ravenheart Rating: 10/10
Spice Factor: Mildly open door handsy stuffs, nothing explicitly detailed.

Great ending to a great series! I absolutely loved the first two books in the Strings of Fate series, and this third book did not disappoint.

The book continues to follow the familiar characters from the previous books. Full of action from start to finish. The pacing was fast but didn’t feel rushed.

I loved the relationship between Arii and Elijah. They both grew significantly as characters throughout the series, and I enjoyed seeing how their friendship and relationship developed.

A perfect read for anyone who enjoys action-packed fantasy books with strong friendships, fierce FMC, romance, and the fight between good and evil.

I can’t wait to read more from the author!

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.

I was fortunate enough to receive an eARC of this book, having read the two earlier books in the trilogy.

It's a great conclusion to the series, with enough spaces to see where future stories could be told - I'd be very interested to read Noct's story, and there's plenty of scope for prequels here. There's also a few "What happens next?" type stories that could be told, like the resolution of the objects of power arc. Nem and Krepth may have some work ahead of them...

The romantasy elements are solid and well written, and there's heaps of character growth and a decent redemption arc or two. It would have been good to see the reveal of Valdis' motivations given a little bit more room to breath, but otherwise the pacing was also great.

Oh my goodnesssss! What an emotional and amazing conclusion to the Strings of Fate series.

Without giving anything away, Lorch has some really powerful moments as he works to redeem himself, and I cried A LOT.

There are also some new(ish) characters that play larger roles and as well as some fantastic reveals and reunions.

Ari and Elijah are everything and I am glad they eventually got their HEA, even if they had to go through a lot to get there.

The book seems to leave a few story lines open for a possible spin off? At least that's what I hope!

Thank you to Melissa J. Kincaid for taking me on this journey and for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Wow.... What a fantastic conclusion to a beautiful series. I was so happy but also so emotional, I knew there was something big coming, but that hurt 💔

With war, love, friendship, darkness, magic, and loss, you get a bit of everything in this book. At the end of a series 😢 I loved all the characters and the way they changed and evolved. In this book.

There is a lot that happens in this book, so much that you keep wondering how in the world will it all end?? Not a single way you think I'll just say that. It shocked me but also hurt.

Absolutely read this series 👏 👌

🌶🌶 it's got so much tension and a couple of spicey scenes.

I really enjoyed the Strings of Fate trilogy—such a great mix of romance, magic, and adventure. I actually met the author, Melissa, at a convention (she was super lovely!), and when she described the series, it sounded so perfect for me that I got all three books on the spot—and I wasn’t disappointed! Each book pulled me in more and more. I'm super excited for the 4th book to be released!

It has so many things that make it such a good read. It ties back to things that happened in the first two books, the main character (Arii) isn't the one that everything happens to, the team has to learn to trust one another.

I would highly recommend it.
