Shame

Rate this book
Sin disconnects us from God, and puts shame around our life; but God wants us to be connected, so I can be myself, I don't have to wear a mask. I can actually just be true and authentic and genuine, but I have to learn the skills of building good relationships as well. Shame is an Identity Thief. It steals away who we are.

While some pastors have never preached one sermon on shame or have depended more on resources from psychology than Scripture in addressing this topic, Mike Connell preaches a six-part sermon series on shame that is original, biblically based, and psychologically sound. Audio, transcripts, and outlines are available: Unashamed, Unmasking Shame, Sources of Shame, Breaking Free of Shame, Changing What You Believe, and Changing Your Behavior. Unfortunately, sermon six was not recorded or transcribed though an outline is available.
